This piece of music never fails to bring me to tears. Over 60 years ago I first heard Bolero played by a high school orchestra in Los Alamos. It hooked me. Tomomi Nishimoto conducts beautifully. Those who think otherwise have no soul!

mean you not seen too much... first - SHE is a woman - as conductor is rare - not much than 4% of all second SHE is japanese... in those country beign a woman and conductor is really hard

@@tjguzik - 1. No one said she wasn't a woman, so I don't get why you feel the need to say "SHE", as though you're correcting someone... 2. Beauty is subjective... You don't get to tell someone whether someone else is beautiful to them or not. She's one of the most beautiful women I'VE seen, because she has a ton of charisma, which makes her very appealing to a lot of people.

Man that poor drummer that had to play that same thing for 17 minutes! This whole thing is awesome , I don't usually listen to this kind of music but I am glad I did, for the 5th time..

When I was a little boy, I went to live with my uncle and aunt and he'd put us to sleep every night with Bolero. Took three sides of 78 records. I've been hooked ever since and can listen to it for hours.

Such elegant hands! I love how she goes from gentle flowing movements to her whole body - like a Taiko drummer. I'm teaching my daughter about conducting and after half a dozen (including John Williams and Lenard Bernstein) she declared Ms. Nishimoto her favorite.

ワタシもある時期まで 男性指揮者として応援していた。憧れつつ… 女性とわかった時はさすがに驚いたけど むしろ別の角度も加わった「好き」に。今では 同じ女性がこれだけ世界に出て活躍してくれることに誇りさえ感じる。でも、やっぱり 好き。
