Beside few exceptions, the only instances where a solo rat is when his 2 randoms hotdropped, pushed a 2v9 and instantly die or alternatively doesn't hot drop but still push a 2v9 (before the 10th placement) and instantly die so ratting is occasionally an healthy mechanic for solo players to avoid losing too many points just for his 2 brainless random teammates

@@Caboos55 They literally endorsing this kind of gameplay by not giving you points for killing. You may wipe 4 squads alone in the early game and still be in negative! I understand if it was a high rank, but they made the same points for everyone!

Respawn clearly doesn't want solo queue players.

Its frustrating to see a gun like the wingman get 110 bullets in care package when they give SMGs like 5 clips of ammo and the ammo to finish a fight is much higher. I really think they need to reassess ammo of care package weapons especially towards the fast ammo consumption weapons.

I feel like most rat players are lobs players with no fighting knowledge and do absolutely nothing when their teammates get into a fight. As soon as fighting starts, I see lobs players already running to rat.

Make ranked ranked again. That's what I want. No hidden mmr ranking. Just based on your ranked. I get that they want to combat smurfing but in doing so they've removed the actually ranked part of ranked.

They did the same hidden mmr to rainbow six siege to make the dying game more "rewarding" to new players. Since you cant see your mmr, you might be a very high ranked player, but have a bottom 20% mmr.

@duskyracer8800 yeah well it sucks because I'm playing very difficult lobbies in every rank. Having played since the first month I've gotten pretty decent at the game and should not have to grind with a 3 stack to climb silver.

Agreed, whats the point in resetting me from masters to rookie, when im facing the same people i was going against in diamond+ in bronze+? Also they should remove the 2 tier gap for stacking, because im getting put with people more than 2 tiers higher or lower than me when playing ranked solo queue, and facing people in pred/masters constantly, and they are 3 stacks

In a team game designed for team play I wonder why they neglect the solos which have only once had the mode and y'all didn't play it as a day zero player I'll tell you like I've told every other brain dead thing on here this games designed for team play get some friends you loners lonely assed nigel no friends who cry because they can't manipulate the game to suit their brain-dead inclination that this should be a solo game

Ranked feels too overcompensated to solve the ratting issue. Ratting was never an issue before season 16/17 because of you did you’d only get positive rp in top 4 and the amount is around 10. MMR is shit because it doesn’t work and this overcompensation is stupid that just hurts solo players. They should just revert to as it was before.

How are you supposed to tell your low level gold randoms that you have to win this game or else you won’t graduate. This is WACK you can’t solo ranked anymore period

Whwn are the trails meant to be done? Is it once you're in bronze one? Or is it just overall throughout the rank?

Prowlers and Spectres were removed because Respawn figured solo-queuers should be the NPCs instead.

That graphics update for DX12 AMD is huge for me I was getting plagued by that

The new revive system may be a disaster for solo players as your ranked randoms are going to be even more cocky pushing 1v9 expecting you to revive them full geared

More likely scenario is premade 3 stacks who used to rat for LP like cornballs to inflate their rank, will now just jump off the map to duplicate purple/red evos for their less fortunate teammates or swaps

I didnt hear anything about how matchmaking actually works changing. So as cool as the rank lobby updates sound I dont think it helps the game be more fun. So excited to play preds and masters in plat again

I'm usually a diamond player but I feel my skill is about to go down bc I already struggle winning games in ranked so this will be fun...

So, trials turned out to be not that bad... or at least that's what I was thinking before getting to the part where to rankup to diamond or master you have to win a match. It could be not that hard but the problem is that you have 5 (up to 10) tries, which means 20% winrate even if you win only 1/5 matches. 20% winrate against people weaker than you in old system is pretty ok, you play better than plats, you rank up to diamond. But now there is no such thing as ranked matchmaking, it's shitty mmr matchmaking instead, so you basiccaly have to have 20% winrate against people of your skill and higher at some moment.

When no one plays with you so you don't have any choicebut to solo que every single time 😭

Yeah as a solo player I’m not sure how much I’ll be playing this season if they don’t fix matchmaking. Queue times are long and a waste of time and then it’s just a boring sweatfest every single game with no variety and no randomness that makes games fun

I'm 100% fine with the trial requirements 'if' these were actually meaningfully thresholds associated with MMR that filtered out people who make winning impossible. In other words if I'm trying to promote from plat to diamond or diamond to masters then I absolutely should never have someone hard stuck in silver or gold because they can't fight or play for wins. I will jump through any hoop if it means there are better teammates on the other side.

This is the first season I haven’t been excited for since I started playing Apex. The SBMM has completely killed my love for the game and there seems to be no changes to it. If I wanted to play against pros and content creators, I would become one myself. Ha ha.

They just need to make ranked a solo player only mode, no duos, no 3 stacks all solos. At least till you reach Diamond or so. Guess its gonna be another awful season with more pointless changes. At least we re back to normal for public maps

Let's get something right, this does NOT STOP RATTING by almost any means. You can still go all four divisions 100% ratting. And then you have to play a game and do the easy challenges. It only stops really really really bad players, and that's not the problem. Just because they fixed 1% of the problem doesn't mean they fixed the problem. It's ongoing for yet another season.

I disagree. I think you underestimate what part of rat players are "really really bad". If you are a good player you wont rat most of the time, otherwise you are bad. And now you need to win in plat+ to promote, so you can't say it is easy, you can't win a game just by ratting without abusing zone, so you can't be bad to complete these trials

@@danielf4654 Counter: 1. Plat players are not good either. 2. You can get carried (happens all the time) 3. You can get lucky. (It only needs to happen 1/10 games on promos ONLY....) Never said you could win with ratting, you can pass all divisions by ratting. You only need to play one game for the promo. There is ALWAYS one guy on the team (assuming you're not always premade, I only solo) that may have well been not there because they don't make a difference by incompetence, even in Masters. You don't have to be bad to rat... Mathematically it is better to rat till plat and shoot maybe even through plat because teammates are soo bad (they'll just bait you into losing points). At least diamonds they learn how to shoot but still are not very bright. Even masters aren't impressive, they simply communicate more on avg because what 90-something percent are all 3 stacks. My point is the bottom 95% are not impressive (this is not to be arrogant or disrespectful, I'm not too great myself), and at the plat level, it's extremely easy to get carried by someone or just straight get lucky. This will not stop ratting by any means. It MAY lower the number of people in Masters through ratting though. I don't know who would have the determination to rat all the way up, but it also wouldn't surprise me if they just had a friend or paid someone to play a win for them... But then again, bad players win games all the time... especially with our new MMR system.... They would only need to beat a bronze lobby once. If not, they just keep trying and trying and trying again... There is no penalty that they can't dismiss by more ratting. Anything I miss?

My God this is brain dead. We took the best ranked system to ever exist in season 1 and have just made it worse every single time. So no pred badge has ever ment as much as season 1 my God they are the worst devs of all time

News flash, there was always a hidden mmr in ranked. It’s just turned up now. If you didn’t feel it before season 18 you’re not very good. Granted it is much worse now. I’m just a stickler for details, so saying turn back off hidden mmr is absolutely incorrect.
