An American woman narrates a film produced for the UK Ministry of Information by World Wide Pictures, a known "propaganda" machine. Overall, the film was interesting. I'm sure no one was happy about rationing, especially as it lingered on into the 1950s, 8+ years after the war ended. No one talks about it much, but the Labour party plan was to continue rationing indefinitely. Because they know better than we do. That would have stifled Britain's re-emergence onto the world stage terribly.
