Thanks for your help. I looked at my textbook examples and they weren't as detailed as your examples. Now I understand them thanks to you. Great video!
Thank you! This was very helpful; not only with the explanations but because you made us practice at the same time. Loved it
This guy has taught me more in the span of 3 yt videos (about 30 min) than I have learned in the past 2 months(I am doubled up in math too)
√8/4 can be reduced further. √4√2/4= 2√2/4= √2/2
I got 95% on my test after this This means so much , thx
I'm scheduled to take a math placement test on Monday at 6:00pm and right now it's Friday 7:30pm. The online course I paid for has mistakenly blocked my access to the course and can't seem to figure out what's going on in my account. Out of the 10 weeks I paid for, I've only been able to use it consistently for maybe half that time. You are really helping me learn a lot of these concepts and I appreciate your channel a lot man.
I have a midterm this morning and just realised when revising before i go that i have a problem with rationalising the dominator, thank you for saving me
I'm jxt here to save my grades😁

Some of your examples are not fully simplified, so a professor/teacher will count them as being incorrect. sqrt of 8 divided by 4 equals sqrt of 2 divided by 2

On page 1 you need to simplify SQRT(8)/4 to SQRT(2)/2. On page 2 you need to simplify 2SQRT(4x)/x to 4SQRT(x)/x.

@n1vr132

You dont have to rationalize the numerator, just the denominator. Research more on why we even rationalize denominators. I think there were 3 things that should be considered
Thank you so much you literally saved my life

√8/4 can be √4•2/4 then it will be 2√2/4 simplify √2/2 that’s the final answer in 1:55

I wish you had included a solution example with a sum or difference of terms in the numerator that also had radicals in them
Great video!
I will have your children to repay you for this Mr. Organic Chemistry Teacher.
your a life saver bro
What do you do if your expression is divided by a constant multiplied by SQRT(x), Like so: y/(2sqrt(x))
@jesdeletion205
5 жыл бұрын
Multiply denominator by sqrt of x to rationalize it. Therefore, solution is y*sqrt of x over 2x
Square roots are easy to rationalize. I just completely forgot how to do cube root and above.
thank u this helped so much :)!! ILY u aways come in clutch.. if nobody got me,,, The Organic Chemistry Tutor got me! perrr!!!!

√(x)√(x) = (√(x))², not √(x²) when considering the case where x < 0.
Thank you Sir!
1:54 you can still make square root 8 to 2square root 2 and divide 4
Thank you.
You literally answered my question in 42 seconds lmao
Can you explain what is cube root of unity,plz
Thank you man
1:55 isn’t completely simplified it would be the square root of 2 all over 2. Square root of 8 is 2 times the square root of 2. If you divide that by 4 the fraction can be simplified furthrr

5:33 why didn't you multiply the radical 2 times radical 2
Thanks man appreciate u😘❤️
how can i rationalize the denominator of this equation? (1)/( oot(5)(5x^(2)))
8:10 why is it we need to multiply it by "4th root of 3x³" instead of "4th root of 3x"? I want to know the answer,thank you.❤
@lillykitty6790
4 жыл бұрын
It’s because to cancel out the fourth root (the tiny number at the top), you need to have the same number in the square root above the actual number (2 cubed for example: the cubed [3] at top is the number)
@lillykitty6790
4 жыл бұрын
So to cancel out the fourth root you need to have the 4th power above the number in the square root
8:55 why did U simplify 32x inside 4th root before u rationalized and in 6:32 where did 8 come from?
We can simplify 2√4x/x as 4√x/x right
Example 3, can we not simplify the square root of 8 into 2 x square root 2?
Thank You
Why does the cube symbol stay after X to the power of 3? (2x^3 -> 8x^3) just curious, thanks. Sorry if it's obvious.

how can i rationalize 1 / √2 + √2? Please someone help 🙏
Kinsa pay naa diri,2021😊
Someone help me. I didn't get what he say on 4:06.. When he change y to the power of 5 become y to the power 2.
@rarurorook4872
5 жыл бұрын
Hey maybe you have already figured out , but anyways what he did was that he expanded root y^5 as (y^4 x y) , because when you multiply y^4 x y = y^5 . So then he took the square root of y^4 and kept root y as it is. So which means root(y^5) = Root(y^4 x y) therefore ----> = y^2 root(y) . I hope you understand it .. sorry if u didn't , i wish i could explain it to you more clearly .
5:08
6:32 where does the eight come from?!!!!!!!
On the third equation you needed to simplify 2 times the square root of eight so you get 4 times square root of 2 so your end answer would be 2 square rooted divided by 2
Just learning.
