Great to finally see someone in the dive community do an in-depthish review other than Bob at divers Supply in the US. His videos on it have been fantastic too. But nobody seems to mention the importance of logs of the dive software on Subsurface.

❤beautiful review I have been using it for a few months almost 50 dives simply perfect. I like the way I look at the GPS model. Save the GPS points with a long press from the main screen. I use it both with the rebreather and in open circuit. really nice

We need a converter for GPS to whatever that sonar wireless technology is (like on new Garmin watches have). You could send up a transceiver on a SMB and then it can send your coordinates and heading down to you.

There are a few systems out there. I've seen some systems that involve a buoy like the SUEX Seika

Have this computer but in the Pro not tech variant. GPS I found pointless but as the computer was a gift from the wife I wasn't going to say no. Is it better than shear comps? Maybe I prefer it to some extent and I prefer some of the sher system/ setups. As with all computers it's swings and round abouts. The transmitter pairing is a faff and not ad good as it should be, but firmware changes have made it better. I wouldn't change it if I had the option to. Ratio jave been great getting back to me on a number of questions, and offered to check it for me should there be issues. For the price you cannot go wrong really

The designers of this dive computer wanted to put everything in one device. It probably has its own buyer base, but the safest thing for me is to stay with Perdix, it's simple in a stressful environment.

Great, very extensive review. I only missed the divelog. Does it keep a lot of data? Bluetooth app for your phone?

To sell you the software upgrade... Ages ago I bought the iX3M v1 easy (similar to the current pro version) and, later, payed an extra 100€ to upgrade it to the deep version.

#askmark Hi Mark, I recently bought a new dry suit. The scubaforce Explorer nst. I cut the cuffs to size and tested it in the water for the first time. Conclusion: leaking somewhere. The zipper was definitely closed properly. It entered somewhere in the stomach/crotch area. We couldn't find a hole. I would prefer to just send the suit back. I bought it from an official German dealer and have a 14-day right of return. However, the cuffs had to be cut to size for testing. What does that look like in this case? Return within the deadline but with shortened cuffs? Without shorting the Cuffs i wouldn't been able to test the suit... In Germany there is a right of cancellation, here is the original wording: "You are only liable for any loss of value of the goods that is due to handling of the goods that is not necessary to check their quality, properties and functioning." Do you have any advice? Thanks! Regards, Simon

An interesting scenario. In my experience, if you're friendly and honest about everything, most manufacturers are willing to help you out. They get a happy customer and good publicity. Unexplainable leaks on new drysuits are often caused by too much neck movement in the water or reconnecting the inflator in the water. Manufacturers leak test new suits and it's rare that they miss any. Leaks also travel along seams in the suit so it's best to leak-test the entire suit. Just because your stomach and crotch is wet doesn't mean that's where the external leak is. Sometimes drysuits come under the 'customised product' exclusion that you need to be careful of. If they decide to stick to their T&C's, it depends what's causing the leak I suppose. If there's a leaking seam it could be 'not fit for purpose', in which case they hold the right to repair or replace at their discretion. I would message them, be friendly and honest and they should help you and get you back in the water as soon as possible.

@@ScubaDiverMagazine Hey Mark! thank you. Yeah, I sent the seller an email. Described the problem clearly and asked that they take the suit back. Now I should send them the suit and they will check it. Let's see if they fix it and I get it back or if I get a refund. Thank you! LG, Simon
