Although I am not likely to use this type of computer, it looks like a very handy tool. Your description of each function was very good!

I have 3 Ratio computers. Zero problems with any of them and I dive them everyday from rec to tech. I have the first version, ix3m tech and also the pro ix3m2. One thing that is not available yet is you cannot upgrade the new ix3m2 with a code as in the first version ix3m. Maybe sometime later this year Ratio will have that sorted out. Its a computer that can grow with your diving so if you just buy the pro version ( suitable for any recreational diving) you can later upgrade the computer with a code ( have to pay for it) and you will have access to more features that are used in deep or technical diving ( 4 different algorithms that are switcheable during dive). Pretty awesome screen on these things. What I use for screen protector is I bought some clear bra ( clear vinyl material used to protect car paint and available at car wrap places or online) cut it to size and stuck it on. Ratio does sell screen protectors for it but 12 x 12 sheet of clear bra is like $12 and can be used for 6 computers.

Hello @blueh2ocozumeloceantours296. Thank you for sharing your experience with your Ratio dive computer. You are correct as well, Ratio said I would have to send this one back in to do the update. As another viewer stated as well, it does not appear to have any feature to calculate SAC and RMV, which seems odd to me, especially being a tech computer. Maybe I am just missing it, but I am not seeing it anywhere. So please correct me if I am wrong. That aside, I have been very pleased with it thus far, and hoping to put around 100 dives with it this summer to really learn all the ins and outs of it.

@@LakeHickoryScuba It doesnt calculate SAC and RMV. Perdix does but only one tank and I think its only an average of 2 min? Its best to use something like Subsurface and manually input your info there. Gives a much better look at every phase of your dive. Its been almost a year that Ratio hasnt figured out the code thing that they have on the IX3m2. It should be similar to the way the upgrades are done on the original IX3m. Youll get about a week of diving on both units before you have to charge. Don't forget your charge cable if you plan to travel because you will be hard pressed to find one. The first IX3m had some different features such as moon phase, pitch roll, luxmeter, magmeter. I do like the moon phase meter....The ix3m2 doesnt have those features but the screen is much better and so easy to read.

@@LakeHickoryScuba to be honest I just wanted something different. I don't like replacing the battery or wireless charging pads. The answer was ratio ix3m2 deep version for me. Loved everything about it.the sidemount transmitters made me think it's time for me to ditch my sidemount spg's.

I got my Ratio computer a few years ago when I was learning Sidemount. At the time it was the only computer with programming built in for Sidemount. I think it is a great computer. The auto switching between tanks is good but sometimes it does take a few seconds for it to switch the information on the screen (the new version may be faster). I also have the covers for the transmitters. To see the light I used a soldering iron and made a small hole in the top panel of the cover. This area does not get stretched so it has not torn. The light can be seen through the hole and it does not look like I have navigation lights on me. I do not like the compass. I prefer an old fashioned disk. Personally, I feel the computer compass does not spin around fast enough. I have turned to change heading and the computer compass took its sweet time to adjust whereas with an analog compass, it turns at the same rate I turn. My compass also lives on my arm so I can always see it. I would like to see Ratio add a power switch to the analyzer wand. I have plugged in the battery and then forgotten to remove it. When I did remember, the battery was flat. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. I am sure you have purchased a second transmitter to go Sidemount. I still keep my SPGs on my tanks and I have a depth gauge in my pouch.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us @AirwolfCrazy. I have yet to purchase a second transmitter for it, as I stated in the video, I prefer analog gauges over integration. That being said, Ratio hopefully will be sending me one to test. So far, I have been very impressed with the computer itself. I am currently sending it back in for an update to the Tech+ upgrade, as I am more interested in being able to customize my gradient factors to match my other computer, which is the Mares Sirius. In regards to the digital compass, I too prefer an analog compass, but have really enjoyed the GPS feature to the Ratio, as it has made navigation to and from certain dive sites here in the lake super easy. I am hoping to put another 100 dives on it in the next 3 months to really learn all the ins and outs to it.

Thank you for the review. Not critical but surprisingly, reading the manual, it does not show SAC or RMV. I would expect this from a computer with air integration.

Hello @elibrin123, you are correct. It is odd to see a tech computer not have this basic function built in (and it could be something I am overlooking). Personally, I calculate mine the old fashion way, so this was not a deal breaker for me. What limited time I have spent using their software, I will state I prefer the Mares software over the Ratio. I will be doing more videos in the future on this specific computer showing more in depth features and how to use them. So stay tuned.
