I loved the little Shishkabugs chanting for Beffica, it added 20 years to my lifespan, look at them go

holy cow, this animatic rocks!! beffica’s personality matches the song so well, but with the added twist on the lyrics that we know it’s not as healthy as beffica thinks it is. it feels empowering in the moment, but we know that bugsnax aren’t a good thing, which makes beffica feel as sad as she is iconic. right around 1:30 is my favorite part. that fantastic, smoothly animated spin around, showing all the different aspects of beffica’s character. her sassy attitude, followed by her deeper loneliness she hides under the surface, and then burying it all with the bugsnax addiction. i love that her eating is perfectly timed to the music as well, it’s just so cool! and, oh my gosh, the ending of the animatic with beffica looking off at the skyline. mirroring the very beginning of the animatic, but this time with beffica having a determined look on her face and knowing her friends are right behind her!! this whole video is spectacular, amazing art and thank you for making it

This is awesome my dude. I’m not gonna lie, my favorite scene is the part leading up to where Beffica eats the Weenieworm. I feel like you’ve captured the possibly chaotic scene where everyone tries Bugsnax for the first time.

I love this so much! All the character interactions are so nice to look at with all the little details, and this song is such a good pick for Beffica! You did a wonderful job in showing off her character and the arc she takes :D

@@dragondawdles I keep coming back to this every few months, and with the new DLC I've been even more invigorated to consume as much Bugsnaz media as possible, even if I've already watched it! I've gotta tell you, I still absolutely ADORE this video! It makes me so happy!! I also think it's funny that my favorite characters changed pretty drastically, because while I did genuinely enjoy all of their nuances, I first got attached to Gramble more than anyone. Now my favorites are Shelda, Beffica, and most of all Cromdo. It's kind of interesting to think about, especially considering it hasn't been that long of a time. This doesn't really have any relevance to the video, I just never really thought about how much I've changed since last year to now. Hopefully it was mostly good, haha! I hope you're doing well in your life, and whatever future endeavors you take on bring you great joy and happiness! ❤ (P.S. I loved the interactions between Cromdo & Beffica, especially that blink and you'll miss it moment where they both look towards each other when they're escaping Snaxburg.)

god, this is so good. great song choice, great background details (i did end up having to rewatch it at 0.5 speed to take in everything lol), great use of motion (that part at 1:29 is my favorite), and i know this fandom is a little too new to have ships, but as a nascent cromdo/beffica shipper (cromfica?) that part at 1:45 is everything 🥺 thanks for making this, and kudos 💚

Oh my stars a Bugsnax animatic. And it's sooo wunderbar! I love the way you draw the grumpuses, my favourite style of them so far! It just translates the 3d to 2d so wonderfully perfect. I really like how despite how sketchy this is, the expressions are so distinct and clear. The movement is so dynamic (especially 1:29 and onwards, like that sync with her eating the Crispy Snakpods?? Delicious!!), the camera smoothly moving, like MMMMM. It's so satisfying and pleasant. The transitions are done very cleverly! I love the Shishkabugs chanting too! It's so cartoony I love it. But especially thank you for making it about BEFFICA. It's totally understandable why people despise her, but those types of characters are usually so interesting. I love the growth of her character development shown here (Plus a little Cromdo helping people?? Dude you legend) . Like you managed to fit it in a way that doesn't make it feel rushed in these 2 minutes. I LOVE her smug expressions. This song fits so well oh my. I really love the subtle shift with Beffica as the Snaxsquatch is glimpsed and in the campfire scene. This video is so amazing, I appreciate the amount of detail it in. Like the background stuff is so interesting and charming (Like the cactus), plus Beffica eating the weenieworms and snakpods since, you know. There's so much thought into it. Sadly the Bugsnax fandom is pretty small and hungry (they should embrace the snax, cringe culture is dead.), but this video provides a feast that will last years. It's so pleasant I love it so much, like thank you? THANK YOU! I've rewatched this so many times, because it's so pleasant like wow. Also the journalist design is so cute, I love it. Like that hat covering their face with their little camera - beautiful (And Chandlo patting their head? I like how everybody in this fandom has given him the watermelon hat). Plus when Beffica uses her hotdog hand?? :> I adore it. I love the callback of the last frame with the beginning, the expressions are so GOOD, so fantastic. Cough, basically thank you so much for making this. This is the -Bugsnax- Beffica content we needed, but didn't deserve. It's genuinely pleasant, satisfying and just absolutely superb. Really cool! And the song choice is on point. Beautiful is what I call it. Take care!

I've reread this several times and I'm sure I'll reread it many more times because I am just, so so thrilled that something I made could could warrant such a thoughtful and detailed comment! thank you!! :D beffica's a super fascinating character, and one easy to dislike, but she is also extremely well written and I love her. bugsnax was fun to make an animatic of in particular, since over the course of the game you get to know every single one of the very insular cast making group shots and cameos and itty bitty details an absolute delight! I honestly didn't have a solid design for the journalist so I kept them intentionally vague but I'm really happy with how they turned out; and most of the snackifications in this were based off of my own playthrough and I am VERY glad to know I am not the only one who ended up giving chandlo that particular hat haha thank you so much once again for this sweet comment!! I keep reading it to respond and I'm still !!!

I looove 1:30 . I wanna see that fully animated. I also love the shishkabugs strutting and how you kept track of how transformed each Grump should be at parts. (All of mine were fully transformed way before the end of the game)

do you mean the journalist? they were there in a couple of shots mostly at the end, I kept them purposely vague because they don’t have a canon design (or at least didn’t at the time) and they don’t have the *largest* screen presence anyways

did the girl from mean girls voice the protagonist of heathers the musical?

seems so, google's telling me Barrett Wilbert Weed played both veronica from the heathers cast recording and janis from the mean girls cast recording (who sang this song)!
