What you're gonna want to do is take a repeating bass line and throw in some palm muted arpeggios. Next a 4/4 beat with a groove to be added slowly but consistently until the melody comes in small hits. Then tiny whisk until homogeneous

@@euanorr3626 the fond is the dark scale (I found this word on the translator, not fully sure if it's correct loo) that you get at the bottom of a pot or a pan after you've seared meat. It's not dirt to be removed, it is caramelized fat and meat juices, packed with flavour. You want to scrape it off the pan with stock and/or veggies, which will absorb the fond's flavour. Also I believe fond is french for bottom because you find it at the bottom of the pot.

also, a clean plate is usually a way of saying cocaine/other snorting drugs. As in, you need a clean plain surface to do the lines in, and a plate is one of the most common surfaces. IDK if people are referring to that aswell, since the music is pretty psychedelic, and I could see people doing MDMA or XTC while this plays

The one in the left during the time you mention has a wire pointing to the left. However in the next scenes the far left bulb has no wire pointing left on the top. :) edit: the one to the direct right does however.

aside from loving this song, because I do love this song, I also adore this video. what aesthetic is it even? it feels cyberpunkish? grungy off white industrial office setting, exposed wires, fat tube lights - one of which isnt working (on purpose? because the wiring is setup that way? no need for a replacement just keep it in? what was the thought process on that even?) is that a welding mask hanging on the left? is that a socket wrench attached to the wall to the right of the tubes? and a welding rig on the right spray painted so people will remember to like the song? there is so much to look at and the camera never moves except to cut to a close up of the cat?!? what is with the cat?!?! so much content. so good!

18x scavenged dead flouresent tubes, opened up and filled with strips of individually addressable RGB LEDs (cheap on ebay). Hooked upto a Rasberry Pi computer, running software like "Gladiator". Probably pretty cheap to do. I'd be scared of the mercury while cleaning out the tubes tho :(

roidroid I'm not so sure about that. The wiring looks to be high voltage, and it looks like fluorescent-style wiring (two wires in each top and bottom). Sure, it would be possible to do the RGB setup like you describe, but it looks like (to me anyway) that they tried to make it look like they really are just fluorescent bulbs.

I won an amateur chess championship listening to this song. At the time I was about 17 or 18 years old and I felt like I was in a movie, especially because it was blitz, that is, fast chess, as each player had little time on the clock. There were so many people watching and it was magical to see the smiles of all those cheering for me, jumping with joy, when I delivered the checkmate. One of my coolest memories.

+coleridge49 the guy walking in front of it makes me think otherwise. It could be projected from behind, or it could be lit from behind by small LEDs or a screen, or it could be something else that I don't understand because I'm not an electrician

+Zachary Taverner I think you're correct, looks like it's being lit from behind. Look at the black thing near the bottom right of the fluorescents - seems to be emitting light. Maybe they have a mirror behind them to reflect it upwards at an angle (which I thought could explain why there is light seen above the tubes on the wall, to the left of the tubes, and on the ceiling - while there is no light below the tubes).

It might be LED stripes inside the light tubes, it seems feasible to me

Bruce Nolasco Yeah but the last tube on the left doesn't light up at all. That's why i thought it was a projection.

I'm legitimately curious if they didn't just accidentally leave a camera recording in a basement somewhere and then just decided to edit in some crazy lights and make it a music video.
