Three critical mentions are Samwise, Gollum, and Boromir. Typically this is a 4 card combo (Rata, ring fodder, sack outlet, and payoff), but these three provide their own sac outlet, which Nazgûl does not. Boromir can use its ability to sacrifice itself and give your board indestructible, then temp the copy of itself created by Rata. For Gollum and Sam, you can use their ability to add them back and cast them again, violating the Legend rule and sacrificing the token, which is not legendary until the ring tempt effect resolves. Blasting Station and Altar of dementia also are payoffs, reducing it to a 3 card combo. As for other techs, Beseech the mirror is viable here as a token legendary Nazgûl is free. Nazgûl itself breaks some tutoring logic just by the sheer brute force that’s available. A more casual form of payoff are token or death trigger doublers, many of which are also legendary. This leads to a board of infinite Nazgûl with infinite attack, which is quite hilarious. While orzhov doesn’t have many fling type effects, I have found that you can occasionally kill someone by having 2 Nazgûl and attacking with the non-tempted one, the after the opponent chooses not to block the death touch you then sack loop the other Nazgûl until it has infinite power. Some of the other cedh have focused on the stacks elements, as this combo can be performed under rule of law and other similar effects.

Doesn't surprise me Raty-d is showing some cEDH promise, my bud's been running a less optimised Nazgul list for our high power casual games for quite some time and it's an absolute menace

Wow, this looks like a really fun library. It's refreshing to see cool-looking dark fantasy creatures front an effective strategy instead of the usual creatures that are fairly bland as characters. Ratadrabik + wraiths, vampires and zombies paint a much more interesting battlefield than having Tymna, Kraum, Dockside and Oracle thrown together lol. I think this strategy would be more fun at a high power table too. I'm gonna try some hands later today.

I am putting together a version of sisay where one of its wincons is with the combo of ratadrabik and boromir + meathook or kambal, all the cards are legendary and can be searched with sisay in addition to boromir granting a layer of protection and stax and when combined with ratadrabik together they provide an additional layer of protection to the combo.

On another note, it's one of the most "60 card regular magic deck like" edh I've seen in a while. Like the way it fonctions is not that far off from the way a 60 cards 5 Nazguls, 4 Viscera, 4 Zulaport , 4 Rata... whatever is name is would run. I think it's kinda neat.

@@florianserres1590 your comment doesn't seem related to mine so I'll answer as if it was a regular one. I suppose you don't run tainted pact to exile your entire library. You run it as it was intented, a risky tutor. In the case of this deck, not that risky since you can always stop at your first Nazgul if that's what you need or another outlet. You're running so many different iteration of each individual piece that you will always hit what you need relatively fast. Even if the Thassa's orcale combo ruined this card in everybody's mind, it's still an instant speed tutor and can be used as such.

Borimir removes the need for a sac outlet, still need a payoff, but it's a 3 card combo instead of 4 in the deck.

I played 2 this deck not long ago, it's really Bad 😂. 3 card combo + Commander, the only reason for it to win it's that no One spect ir todo anything. In My Game the deck did nothing, usted Uba Mask, I got Magistrade, GG.
