Great vid Si. I had my HW100 bullpup Rat Works-ed and it just adds that bit of polish to an already damned-near perfect rifle. You are absolutely right that there is no real need for a HW100 in good order to be tuned, you won't see enough difference for it to be worth the cost, but mine developed a leak from the block and it was going to cost me nearly as much to just fix that as the service, tune and Tench reg from the lads at Rat Works so that's what I did. I now wouldn't let anyone else service my guns, the customer service is simply the very best I have ever had from any company anywhere and my rifle is now as accurate and smooth to use as a gun costing twice as much.

A very impressive rifle and even more impressive shooting considering it is a .22. I have always found HW 100s to be ridiculously accurate and consistent out of the box and this one is right at the top. May I just respectfully correct one point in your presentation . Your Standard Deviation for your 10 shot string is not 7 as you pointed out but just under 2.07. The Extreme Spread is 7 ft/s and the variance is 4.32. The more useful statistical information ie: Margin Of Error or Confidence Interval is at worst +- 0.57% from the mean ( 567.1 ft/s ) which is a truly great result. Thanks for taking the trouble of doing this interesting review.

I think the accuracy comes from a good barrel. I sent a daystate huntsman regal to the rat works which had poor accuracy and was only shooting 10ftlbs. He put a new regulator on an did a tune. An it was still poor accuracy and the same power. Even though he sent a print out of it doing 11.4ftlbs. Only my experience with rat works. I wish I'd never swapped the hw100 for the regal. I'm glad say since getting the agt vulcan I've never been more happier. Sorry to hijack this vid with my experience. Great shooting si keep up the good work. Wish my hw 60 shot this well 👍

Nice shooting. So is that right that each pellet uses .65bar of pressure, (about 9 psi) per shot? That is pellets shoot divided between starting pressure to end pressure I take it? Just curious how much bar/psi it takes to move a single pellet. Say you had to a small reservoir that could only hold another air for what shot, what pressure would it have to be?

I'm guessing you are talking.22 calibre at around 8 foot pounds and not .177 at around 4. If you are a good shot 8 foot pounds on paper and metal targets could be used out to between 40 to 50 meters. On vermin maybe 35 to 40 yards, but that depends on your skill.

If my old HW100KT is anything to go by, I wouldn’t do any work to it. Replacing light weight bottle yes, better shot could yes, but that gun is actually less consistent than mine over the chorno, and I bet it is no more accurate either. Mine would produce 5fps spread throughout the bottle range and 11fps on a bad day. Not meaning to sound negative but with my 100 I wouldn’t let anyone work on it even if the “upgrade was free”.
