We’re beginning a new father/son build project and it’s entered into the Rat Rod Magazine 2024 Build-off!!
Meet LE$$TER the budget truck we’re building. It started life as a 1938-40 cab we purchased in Lester, IA (hence the nickname) and the chassis/power train is a 2003 Isuzu (Yep you read that correctly). It’s a turbo diesel dualie we’ve already owned for a few years and the former cabover box truck finally gets to see the open road again. Will anyone recognize it??

Sonny didn't seem all enthusiastic out there.. Like he is mainly trying to convince pops, he's got a son after-all. I wish I could swap places with him. 😂😂😂
I like it and I respect your plan for it. If I was building it for myself I would finish it as a painted clean hot rod truck.

I would have liked to see the back end bever tailed that would been cool.
Pretty cool mate. I've had a bit of experience with Isuzu trucks of various sizes from your size right up to the big heavy duty semi size trucks and the motors on them are bullet proof and reliable they just keep going and going. Should be fun to build
