Ahh i remember how creepy shredder was when he got revived by that demon guy and said some spooky stuff about how he lost sense of time and reality while being dead freaked the hell out of me ngl

Which is what makes it the best incarnation of the franchise (in my opinion).

#6; Eh. Kinda weak villain. #5; Still not dangerous. #4; Dang. That's very dark. #3; Pretty forgettable. #2; Damn Rat King! You are dark! #1; Talk about the supernatural monster.

Not gonna lie. While 2012 Rat King looks the most scary, the 2003 Rat King actually scared me as a kid. One thing I never thought 4kids had done.

2012. But the 2003. one had the potential to become "king of all rat kings" but main issue was lack of episodes with him.

Agreed. The 2012 Rat King

They should fuse #2 and #1 together... But my personal favorite is Victor Falco: his backstory is superior, his powers are immense, without being over the top. We get to see his progression from reputable scientist to evil madman. His link to Splinter is well thought out... And the voice actor is just perfect. If I were to work on a TMNT reboot, I would have him as one of the main characters at the beginning of the story. It would be easy to imagine a tale where, soon after his mutation, Splinter would seek human help. He would go to Dr. Victor Falco, a brilliant geneticist working for a different lab than the one Splinter and the turtles escaped from. The two would become friends. If it's a version of Splinter who is a transformed Hamato Yoshi, he would tell his whole story to Falco. Meanwhile, Falco would run tests on Splinter. Falco would try to convince Splinter to bring him the baby turtles, but Splinter would hesitate. Falco would almost convince Splinter that, unlike him, the turtles are not human, that he's become too attached to them, because of the trauma he's been through and that the turtles are and should only be seen as lab experiments. Just as he's about to bring the turtles, Splinter would find out that Falco is obsessed with rats and has been running unethical experiments on animals, that Falco had tricked him into letting Falco extract mutagen from him and has all sorts of sordid experiments planned for him and the turtles... Including a human-sized caged for Splinter. Splinter would managed to escape, as Falco unleashed his experiments on him, almost being forced to abandon the baby turtles in order to survive. Riddled with guilt and terrified of what could happen to the turtles, Splinter would decide to flee to the sewers, to renounce seeking a cure for himself and to raise his "sons" as ninjas, for their own safety. Falco would return, again and again, growing more powerful each time, thanks to his research and the mutagen, becoming the Rat King and becoming obsessed by Splinter and his children...

Considering just how scary the novelty villains (except for Baxter) are in ROTTMNT, it makes me immensely sad we’ll likely never get to see a _Rise_ Rat King. We have seen what Splinter is like when he goes rabid. Imagine how terrifying he’d be if he was being controlled by someone.

Rat King 2012 and 2003 RK are my favourite versions. RK 2003 was a ruthless killing machine, whereas 2012 RK was a manipulative psychopath who wanted to turn people into mutant rat hybrids.

I really like 2012 version of the Rat King and he really does look like the Undertaker.

The best thing that 1987 rat king had going for him was stealing the turtles pizza And controlling splinter but he only really did that once

The Rat King is still the most creepiest, most unsettling villain in the series, though not the most terrifying. The Speed Demon with Donnie still makes me wanna scream

2003 wouldve been the best one out of everyone here, shame he only appeared in 1 episode and made a cameo in back to the sewers

I like how they adapted the same comic story in the 2012 TMNT series about the Rat King and Splinter when he fell and told him to eat rats and turned out it was all in his head.

I agree the idw rat king is the best he's a supernatural figure who's all about chaos. Now he's gonna be the main villain for the armageddon event that's coming up. This rat king is the best with manipulation and creepiness

2003 has to be the best i mean the fact that he is half human half machine with splinter dna and with a creepy terminator half face makes him the most badass and fascinating charcter in the series shame they didnt give him air time

The producers of Rise admitted has the show gone to a fourth season, Rat King would have been the big bad that season. I personally would have loved to see him as the big bad than a recurring baddie.

IDW version is my favorite Rat King, but Ultimate Slayer was even better before he became The Rat King!

To be honest I'll like to see the rat king become the first villain in a TMNT reboot movie because in my opinion I think it's better to not make shredder the first or second villain in a TMNT reboot, it will be awesome if the rat king was the first villain and follow the 2012 version in live action

To me the best versions of the Rat King are the 2012 and IDW ones.

My favorite Rat King version is from the 2012 series. He looks like a creepy version of Héctor from Pixar's COCO

2012 since 2003 literally only got 1 episode

2012 Rat King is my favorite

This is one of those villains where I don't have a favorite adaptation, due to the fact that I don't find any of his adaptations interesting or creative, in my opinion.

What about the SNES Tournament fighter version? Also Red Sky Rat King?

I like almost all of them I only hate the one you put for number one because one it was not the rat King I know and love and it looked like an evil elf more than the rat King.

I like IDW RK. He was much better than his siblings.

The 2003 rat king is the only character that I don't like because they rarely appears, and doesn't do much. The 2003 rat king should be dead last.

I absolutely despise IDW Rat King. Really glad his page count in the whole Armageddon Game saga was minimal. He sucks so bad and his dialogue is always unbearable
