Ex Stagecoach Manchester and Stagecoach West
For those who don’t know, the 20 is not a new number for this service. It’s what it used to be known as before being called “KITE”, now it’s gone back to the 20 since April
I noticed on this ride that the window on the rear left is different on this to the MX54s I did around Guildford, Aldershot, Basingstoke and Swindon. On the rear left by the engine bay, the MX54s do have a hopper/openable window whereas this (and possibly other MX55s) do not. I’m not sure why, I certainly know I prefer this - one less window to potentially ruin the raw bus audio with unwanted wind noise
Also, what a beast this is! By far one of the best Tridents at Aldershot depot and possibly all of South! But a month after this was filmed, 18387 was made even better than this when it was given a new gearbox - much like how Arriva Shires 6305 back home was transformed from being a bit naff to the best DB250 in the entire fleet! I definitely want to return for that!!! 👀
