Now you see why Zavala, Saladin and Osiris don’t trust Rasputin. He was upset that Felwinter (his son) became a guardian so he lured the Iron Lords to Siva and destroyed them. (I don’t think you really caught it though)

To be fair, nobody knew Felwinter was Rasputin's "son" (after all, his claim to be human _was_ "Felwinter's lie") nor that SIVA was intentionally set as bait. Even Ana, who knows more about Rasputin than anyone alive, didn't know these things until Rasputin revealed them to us. The Vanguard's distrust had more to do with the utilitarian ethics behind everything Clovis Bray created and the assumption that Rasputin wasn't truly sentient, just a weapon following protocols they couldn't trust to align with their interests. Zavala very pointedly referred to Rasputin as "it" even when Ana said "he", rejecting what he saw as facile anthropomorphization. But when he finally understood, he addressed the Warmind not only as a person but as an equal.

one thing that destin didnt catch was that once you had access to the io bunker everyweek a wall of the solar system would display pyramid ships approaching get further and increasing in numbers with the final week having the cutscene that showed them at jupiter

One thing that Destin (bless him) did not include here is that every week inside the Bunkers, you can see an approaching "signal" in the shape of Pyramids, getting closer to Earth from the outside of our system. Every week, you would see the ships inch closer and more of them appearing. It was actually really haunting and creepy.

Felwinter started out as what is called a "Siddartha Golem" an Exo without a human mind, Rasputin having created it saw it as his child, that Golem died during the collapse and was resurrected by a Ghost during the dark age which Rasputin saw as betrayal, using a "plague" (Siva) to wipe out the iron lords who took felwinter in edit: a few things on trials of osiris: the whole trials of saint-14 thing is a jokey way of admitting to a mistake, trials of osiris was an endgame PvP activity in destiny 1 overseen by brother vance and in early D2 it was replaced by trials of the nine which got people hella upset from the name alone lol also the lighthouse is what you saw the guardian ignite at the end of season of the dawn edit2: yeah you had to be online when the Almighty exploded i remember watching it, it was such a cool experience to be there

Felwinter’s lie. Such amazing lore. He was Rasputin, in physical form, but revived by the Traveler. He knew this truth, and kept it from the Iron Lord’s. Rasputin grew angry that a part of himself had been changed and sought to destroy him. Rasputin is such an amazing and complex character. My favorite boy in all of Destiny.

Rasputin the Warmind. Or the "Tyrant." Has expressed much guilt, sorrow, dissatisfaction, and remorse for being unable to help and keep his presence before and after the collapse. Even more so when he murdered his own son. Because he couldn't accept him being out of his hands

Felwinter is one of those characters I reallyyyy hope they can bring back into the story someday.

You did in fact needed to be online to watch the Almighty Live Event at the tower. The whole thing lasted for about 2 hours hence the timelapse

I’d recommend listening to season of arrival voice lines as they provide a bunch of lore when you do your next video 🤚🏽

Next season is probably my favorite. You should also try to watch the trailers of each season/expansion AFTER you've watched all the cutscenes because obiviously you wanna go in FULLY blind I assume. Seeing your reactions to the trailers would be nice too.

Peak Zavala coming in in Witch Queen, Haunted and Deep. Some really nice stories Also Arrivals gonna be really cool Also here is some lore dump on Felwinter: Felwinter was an AI made by Rasputin of Rasputin to blend in with humans, learn more about how they live since Rasputin is actually sentient. That Exo died in the collapse, becoming the Guardian Warlord and Warlock Felwinter. He was known for having stranger views on the light and even put his Ghost into the back of his helmet (You can see it even now). Rasputin was furious and wanted to get rid of him, dropped warsats on him and killed him hundreds of times. When that didn't quite work he made the then Iron Lords (which Felwinter became a part of during the whole dark age) follow Siva and told promised them that it could rebuild eveything (which it could) and Felwinter took the bait, since he never realised that Rasputin wanted him dead. In the end, Rasputin killed almost all Iron Lords in order to grant Felwinter his final death. Rasputin has been known as the Tyrant ever since and he regrets that immensly. I might have some stuff not really accurate, I am reciting this from memory Also one more thing. The purple bows on Saints armor and ship? Those are from people whose life has been saved by him. Started by a littl girl, people then had the tradition of giving him one when they were saved

From what I remember, it wasn't his ghost in the back of his helmet but a warlord's ghost that he conquered and picked apart, keeping it just sentient enough to give him unique abilities.

Alright so! 1. That was the only live event we got so far, sadly 2. It did SLIGHTLY impact the tower when it hit, there’s a small hole you can jump down 3. Calus’ daughter is named Caiatl, pronounced like Kite-el I think I saw some people talking about the Felwinter Rasputin thing but yeah Felwinter was Rasputins son, he died and was chosen by the traveler to become a Guardian, Rasputin then became big angy and tried very hard to unalive Felwinter, Felwinter actually wanted to get SIVA to help people so when Rasputin learned that he decided to lead Felwinter and the other Iron Lords into a trap, unaliving nearly everyone who had entered on that trip Since it was a trip with the intention to helping others, and Rasputin chose to unalive them all it made some of our friends like Osiris, Saladin and Zavala (who was actually a student of Saladin) also big angy, hence why Zavala is not a huge fan of Big Red

They did 2 live events that year, the almighty and the one at the end of season of arrivals though that one was more an event of gathering together in the city to watch a cutscene together I really miss the live events though. They were so cool. I remember sneaking out of bed at 3am cus timezones to see the one during arrivals

Tyrant-Rasputin Son-Felwinter Became a warrior-turned into guardian Before being turned into a guardian, the Exo was a vehicle by which Rasputin would send out into humanity to experience culture and a variety of other things for himself. Once Felwinter was revived, Rasputin saw Felwinter as a threat/betrayal, but couldn't kill him via normal means, as he was a guardian. So he baited him SIVA. You saw the aftermath. Edit: fun fact. Once Shaxx beheaded Felwinter in a one-on-one duel with his bare hands while Felwinter was in his super.

OKAY, I THOUGHT SO- I didn't lean enough into the theory because I had only just read about Fellwinter and Shaxx on Shaxx's mountain, so I didn't know enough. 😅 I really hope I get to learn more about the exos because learning about their connections to the Warminds was so cool.

@@terabellum Just came to me but some additional context for the season. In the Season of Dawn the weekly boss was 1 of 3 Psion sisters, rotating between them. Each one had a different power, detaining fields, lightning strikes, and heat seeking fireballs. Each fight took place in Mercury's past. Towards the end of the season, the final weekly fight was fought in the Corridors of Time, where all 3 Psion sisters merged and you had to fight 1 mega-Psion with all 3 powers. With all the hubbub, there was a 4th sister that went unnoticed by the Vanguard, that went up to the Almighty to start their backup plan, which I believe is the Psion that Zavala killed. Thus Season of the Worthy began. Edit: Also at the end of each reaction could you watch the trailers for the specific season? Some of them are absolute bangers, and dawn is one of my favorites.

The almighty event was amazing, watched it live from the tower, but it did take a while, and many people complained of getting kicked. Overall, it was a success, but they havent done an event like it since.

The story was great, but the seasonal activity itself was just awful. At least the loot and armors were really good

It is funny you think Rasputin is a good boy when up until this season he was a morally ambiguous character, let's just say. One just have to read the lore to know the extremely problematic and questionable stuff he has done.

As I've started doing more reading on the ishtar collective, I am more aware of his past actions, especially around SIVA. But he was a super endearing character to me early on in the game's story when he only communicated to us through music. 😅
