And i kept asking....why do they air Mexican shows for two hours (8pm and 10pm ) and Kenyan shows show like 25 minutes at a time when most people are viewing. Tough for local industry

That seat Ras is sitting on is not comfortable for guests. Get something better that is comfy, especially an executive lounge seat like that of LNN or Hiko Nini. 400 subscribers and still growing, you can afford to upgrade to attract more fans. On Ras unfortunate story, Kenyan artists are exploited because there is no watertight policy guidelines to govern artist's plight. Indeed kenya is a hub for film industry and readily available gifted artists. Very sad indeed. Because of that gap, exploitation is rampant so that short changing games thrive unabated. The worst part is that artists have no bargaining power because of economic challenges. This is informed by two causes(1) Even after building a name, most artists take any amount to remain relevant or coz opportunities are rare, they accept less for survival. (2) Producers know the game that signing up an established artist shall cost him more plus legal contract abound, they opt for fresh, naive or rukee that has never gotten such a rare chance. Fresh actors accept anything for popularity. Whereas that popularity is a good opportunity to catapult to the to the world space, the same artist never realise, their name has added value which translates to the bottom line, many prefer to ride on "Stardom" tag than using it to bargain better in future. That's the harsh reality on the ground guys. We have witnessed many incredible actors wallowing in abject poverty albeit faking their status out there to sustain relevance. Mental health challenges hit such individuals really hard. It's time they gang up together, draft a petition then present the same to Ababu Namwamba for consideration. I believe this time round, talent is at the heart of the UDA government. It is an opportunity they cannot afford to lose if they need recognition and their profession properly remunerated. I feel for them.
