Sometimes you've got to understand these elderly women come from a different generation. They still haven't changed their perspective about life because of what was ingrained in them growing up. Definitely as a gen Z I disagree but respect her opinion. She's a formidable woman in our society!

She is a humble giant. She moves in silence. She believed in her personal convictions, she believed in herself, she believed in her visions, she saw her visions before they were real and above all she believed in God and all came to fruition. She is quite an inspiring human being.

I was a hospitality student at NIBS. And now I'm watching Lizzie when I really needed to. Starting my company soon, and she's my number 1 advisor.

Rest well Lizzie. What a powerful and yet humble woman. I love her lessons, back to the drawing board for me..I feel blessed to watch this and learn and unlearn so much i had in my mind. I plan to publish short stories this 2024. Thanks Lizzie for the lessons, fare thee well and to your family, May you gain peace beyond human understanding during this period and as days, turn to months and years. I love how this lady is so full of life. Keep inspiring people of all ages. Truth is, being single is not easy but it's a better option sometimes.

Rest easy Momma. You empowered me. You were my second mom, I am happy I made you aware of what I have become since you played a part in my life. It is hard coz I had planned to come see you and give an update, but you left too soon, shine on your way, Mama.

Such an inspiration mama ....Ooh and some of us are GENUINELY happy being single with no desire of having that companionship peace of mind is what matters

Marriage is a beautiful thing if you have the right partner, it should be enjoyed not endured. It should be a partnership not a prayer item. You can also be married and lonely which is worse. That said I have nothing but respect for this woman

I disagree with "life is meant to be shared" i know many people through my job who are stuck in unhappy marriabes because of culture, they are miserable.

According to studies marriage benefits men more. It very costly for a womam financially, psychologically, emotionally, spiritually and physically. So make sure he is worthwhile.

I joined NIBS as a diploma student ;did a medical course,got a job as a diploma holder... started saving to further my education; today I have two degrees and one of them is a medical degree.....you were such a blessing to us as students,I can't forget how you used to go with us to churches (CU members)when you had been invited as guest of honour and you used to buy us lunch ... through your vision many have achieved their dreams.....I will forever be grateful to God for giving you such a great vision. Being close to 50 years myself, I can say that above 40 years, its hard for a woman to find genuine and healthy male companionship. It can be lonely sometimes but it's better to keep busy with work, our kids and hobbies and other interests than sumbuka with bad relationships. Just build yourself. Our good Lord Jesus never leaves us alone.

Keep the faith. My husband walked out when I was 56 and it was a blessing. At 59 and a grandmother I had a young girls wedding to a God sent man.

Catherine, women above the age of 40 years, have jobs, mostly probably single mothers and who are still open to love and marriage end up meeting mature, grounded companions.( age 40 may sound old for women, but its the best age to get married and settle down). You both enter into a marriage older, wiser and knowing exactly what you both want from that marriage.

When she says: I don’t think I’d remember how to be a wife! That made me so sad! There isn’t one way to be a wife. I hate that being a wife is often confused with being a cook, cleaner, or whatever else! I completely get her hesitation to be married again! She gave 26 years to a man who did not hesitate to dispose her off and left her without anything!!

Aunt Liz is such a great role model!Keep it up!I have been inspired!Lots of love from Botswana!

Its a matter of finding the right person, the one person who understands you accepts you, loves you and holds you as his/her privilege otherwise you can be with someone and still lonely and grieving

Wow I love her. Liz is wise, resilient and humble. Kwanza that part she approached her son-in-law first. Wisdom! Most MILs would approach their daughter instead.

Lynn thank you for this episode, I value all your speakers but this lady. Inspires me to continue rebuilding my life, starting afresh for the 3rd or 4th time. The wisdom that Mummy spoke is so true. I'm at a pivoting moment, find it difficult to forget my qualifications and years of experience. I know all about starting over. Just need a mentor like Mummy who has been where I want to go. I pray that I will find the right mentor in Jesus Name. Amen

Beautiful story here, truly there is hope. The githeri part.... aki I ate githeri all through primary and secondary life and I hated it. am a 6th born too, and so when schools close and I visit my brothers, dad would request them not to cook githeri- this left me in trouble with one of my sister- in- law. When I got married, and was pregnant with my first born, aki the only food I wanted all through to my EDD was githeri 😝🙆😛😛
