I'm willing to bet 100% they actually completely forgot they mentioned it. That's how rich people are. They promise things all the time but you have to keep reminding them.

These trunks from the 30's and 40's represent a bygone era when the elite would travel on luxury ships and steam trains for weeks at a time; sometimes they would have 10 or even 20 of these commissioned trunks and cases. Brands like Louis Vuitton, Goyard and Hermes still make bespoke luggage on special order at astronomically high prices but even the wealthy don't really travel like this anymore. Theres no need to when you can be on the other side of the world in less than a day.

2:44 Oooh 15k to 35K? The last one of these pieces sold in auction had a high end estimate of $8k and went for only $4500. Make sure to haggle really hard if you ever shop at this place. There's clearly a lot of wiggle room.

Not sure if it was made clear in the audio but that travel case with the travel decal on the side was from the SS France (I think someone may have said QE2). I have not been able to find deck plan with enough detail to show cabin U53 but will edit the comment if I do.
