David Wise is such an inspiration, it was really great to see him play the piano at the end

This man needs and deserves a dozen more interviews. I would absolutely love to hear some in-depth interviews on his other works, most especially with Donkey Kong Country!

That smile at 3:55 when he remembers the theme and is off to the races... I didn't expect to have an emotional reaction over the Battletoads theme. But that's just the power of David Wise. Fantastic video! I'd love to see more music-focused ones like it.

The soundtrack for the battletoads series is perfection, it is so space-rock, ambient heavy-metal(animated movie) like. The music provided by David Wise was and is all of the same style, kind of like a rock group who never sellout or change style radically(*cough*cough*weezer). I would like to thank you Rare and Mr. Wise to provided the best game series ever with the best music ever. It will never be beaten.

These games always had AWESOME music!

Wow, I didn't know David Wise is into all the technical aspects of creating music on the NES, SNES, etc. I always thought of him only as a great artist!

David, you composed a kind of masterpiece! In my childhood I used to record it to tape and I was listening to it very often. This music is cosmic, original and has its own incredible beauty and drive. Nowadays I enjoy these tracks in different versions and remixes! Thank you for your outstanding talent!

Battletoads and Battletoads & Double Dragon - best soundtracks ever. To this day, I can hum a melody at any level. There are hundreds of covers on YT

This man's work is excellent. Songs from Donkey Kong Country, Diddy Kong Racing, and Star Fox Adventures will always stick with me. His work on Tropical Freeze was stellar as well. Please keep rewarding us with these amazing Rare Revealed videos!

I remember I bought an N64 to relive some of the games I grew up with. Diddy Kong Racing was one. I get to the intro, and immediately shed tears of joy with that classic music. (Also found it clever that the theme is on a different instrument for each racer) Fucking David Wise. All the musicians at Rare are legendary.

Definitely one of the greatest gaming soundtracks, props to this talented artist.

Would have been nice to hear him talk more about individual tracks than just the theme. Theres a lot of great music in the game. And a lil something bout the infamous pause music woulda been nice. Oh well..

Got the Ice Caves tune (playing in the end of the video) as my main ringtone :)

Amazing composer!!

Can't like his hard enough. There' needs to be a.... a double like button or something. Not only is he a great composer, but Wise seems like an incredibly sweet man with a genuine respect for the medium, even the tricky bits from the more primitive days.

His a legend, he made Rare games what they are just as much as the games themselves. He needs to continue making music, not sure if his doing the new themes for Sea of thieves however it would be cool if he did.

David makes such great use of the 4 channels the nes has to offer. Very clever and we'll written music. He has a style all his own.

The best battletoads ost was in battletoads vs dobledragon. Hope that the next game would be like this one but better ;)

When P3 tells you to make a Battletoads game for Xboxone or else. 2014-20** The making of Battletoads Xboxone and their rise to official Xbox mascot! move aside halo. besides, their more flexible and VERY recognizable in the gaming industry. Battletoads can't have a ending cuz they're always traveling into games and saving the world. Halo will have to end one day and can't be flexible. #Battletoads4life
