We love you Robert, you ain’t nothing but a class act.. point blank.. I’m so glad that I’m a 42 year fan of the yellow and black attack.. me and my wife always fans of stryper.. thank you 🙏 for doing this interview…
The guy is a class act.
Robert one of my biggest influences, super great guy! Fantastic interview Jason, thank you brother 🤘🤘💪💪👊👊
Robert I huge fan I am originally from Harlingen Texas. ...your songs n music touch my heart back in 1980s I bought Soldiers under Command...cassette thank God for Stryper...been following Jesus Christ since 1990s .... I met people say you grate musician.... Oz n Michael Awasome lead guitarist....I learning to play lead guitar.... My favorite song among many favorite songs ... Soldiers Under Command..
He has always been one of my most inspirational drummers ever.
Robert is one of my all time drum heroes.
Wow, what a surprise. Always loved his drumming and to start off the interview flattering Jason is above and beyond a great guy. I caught a stick (and bible) in San Diego in the late 80s and Stryper's music, on cassette, kept me company on many tough days as a youngster, even though I'm traditionally religious. Thank you Mr. Sweet.
I have been a teacher in a public school for 30 years and every Christmas I play for my students, Stryper’s version of Winter Wonderland. Love the interview.
Drummers are born not made. I wish I knew where this quote came from but it is very true! Been a Stryper fan since mid 80's and Robert is one of my favorite hard hitters.
Amazing how much Robert and Michael sound alike.

Im a drummer as well and Robert has always taken time to talk a little with me about each of his kits…AWESOME guy-AWESOME INTERVIEW!!
😎👍Awesome Interview Met Robert a few times, always so candid and humble. ROCK ON!⭐⭐⭐🤘🤘🤘
Hi Jason. I just wanted to thank you for letting me take that picture at the Patchogue Theater. My wife and I watch your channel and she requested if I could, to ask you for a picture, which you graciously did. Thank you very much Jason.
And I love Stryper. Very inspirational music I grew up listening. Great drummer.
Robert is a class act.

I lost respect for him when I saw him about a year ago. I was the official photographer for the show and he wouldn’t let me take photos on the side to take photos of him from the front. 😏
Thanks for the video Jason. Robert was the first drummer i ever really got into because he made sounds and rhythms for my time that no one else was doing. Sort of like what Robert pointed out about how he didn't have the internet, just sort of played by ear. Thanks again Stryper truly does rock.
Love Robert Sweet and love Stryper and would love to see them on the road with Stephen
Been a huge fan of Robert's since 1986, such an underrated drummer, true gentleman and, above all else, respectable Christain example. Kudo's Mr. Green, Robert doesn't do many things like this.
Awesome interview and thanks for posting! Stryper is my favorite Christian Oriented bands and they were one of the pioneering Christian Hard Rock/Metal Bands. Christian Hard Rock/Metal started in the 70s and there were only a few bands and then in the mid 80s that all changed as more bands started.
(McAllen, TX. - La Villa Real Convention Center) "In God We Trust" Tour, waiting in line for Stryper concert in 1989. Robert Sweet comes out to greet us in line with full yellow and black attire. He was extra cool and signed everything.
Great interview done. 👍🎸 Robert used to be the main spokesman of the band when they first came out with Yellow and Black Attack. Michael is and has been for 20 yrs. So both brothers can and easily fill that roll.
Well, Robert. I always wanted to meet you also. Because you're a drumming inspiration for me also. You're one of those people who seem like it's important to you to show the audience and GOD that you REALLY enjoy what you are doing!! GOD bless you, brother.
Awesome drummer... Saw him on the Final Battle tour in Biloxi,Ms. and In God We Trust tour back in the day in New Orleans,La. Really great musician.
Yellow and Black! OMG this video is so good and what an amazing interview and Trademarking STRYPER
Jason, no disrespect you are a great interviewer and we all tune in, but dude, hands down you and Monaco “On The Road” videos should be a prime time show on HBO as they are that good! Whenever a new On The Road vid airs I’m glued!!! You need to up that content! You guys have a chemistry that’s undeniable! Keep up the great work!
I had a crush on Robert back in 1985. ❤❤❤
Robert Is Down To Earth Guy He Is Very Kind Loving Person In The World. Amazing Drummer ❤️ I Love Stryper Since 2004.
Seen Stryper back in 87 on to hell with the devil Robert is one of my favorite drummers and if anybody wants to check out other CDs he's done he's done a lot and his drumming is phenomenal
In the 80's I was a teenager. stryper was my church. I listened Stryper every Sunday morning. A teacher of mine said if you like Stryper they are Christien and like and you love it's your way to close to Jesus. Nothing wrong with that. Believe me I'm a true Rocker ( Metal Head) and I'm a Stryper's fan ever since
8, As a drummer in the 80's myself I too have always been into guitar players but I never learned to play. I'd love to see Robert's guitar collection, what he likes.
Jason, thanks again for being world class. Hope to some day have the opportunity to meet you and say thanks personally. Thanks for giving this music a voice and thanks for just interviewing and not casting a bias of what you like and don’t like. We need more of you in today’s world.
Another great one Jason, takes me back to early Stryper days at Santa Monica civic, Anaheim convention center, Knotts berry farm and Anaheim Tower records signing. Always great to see Robert, a true inpspiration
Great interview. Class act for sure. My favorite drummer.
I'm always excited to see Robert sweet do an interview I definitely want to see the acoustic concert maybe I can get wife to come since it wont be so loud I love the loud but my wife doesn't love the interview God bless stryper
I saw Hurricane open for Stryper back in ‘86

Another great interview Jason. I've met Robert a couple of times and he is always great. Loves taking time to talk and take a quick photo. Thanks for this one, Jason.
Great interview. Robert talks so well and I’m pleased he likes the ATL record. Their best sounding/musical album, even if Michael hates it.

What a great interview 👏 👍🫡🫡🇺🇲🇸🇻💯%
Great interview Jason. Robert seems like a very humble chill dude.
Robert is such a sweet, genuine human being.
Damn Jason! What a great interview. I think I’ve said it before but I grew up playing drums to those albums. Robert seems like such a great, smart, aware guy. You guys both rock. And those guys have HUGE balls for never giving up. All smoking musicians. Thank you!
Great interview Jason. You are the best interviewer. You ask the best questions and then let your guests answer. What an awesome person Robert is. Thanks for having him on Jason and keep up the great work! 😎
My favorite drummer 🔥
Stryper is one of the greatest Bands of All time bar none ask bands that tour with thenn I wish oz and Robert would get there's respect there are two legends

Ha! I was with Robert at that PinkEs show
Thanks for another great video Jason. Been a STRYPER fan for ages, Robert is a legend!! Thanks again from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺🤘🏻🤘🏻
How many musicians that are a game changer would give up money fame for god there all the people that say that we give the glory to the lord but he did it oz fox and Robert sweet are the best drummer guitar combo since randy rhoads and Tommy Aldridge but there message is very important you don't need alcohol or drugs bands that tour with styper they know they have to bring theie a game thanks stryper
Another great interview! Awesome way to start the year!
always love my stryper ❤❤❤
Awesome video....my husband was a member of the Reunion Tour road crew in 2003 ... awesome people
Terrific interview. Thank you Jason. Love Stryper
Got the notification on for this one.
To me Robert is one of the very best metal pocket drummers. Perfectly laid back on back side of the beat. It creates a lot of swagger to the music. He is obviously a classy guy too. Great interview.
There albkym just get better there like like fine wine
When I was a kid, I saw the video for Calling On You. I was hooked. The melodic energy was something the other "Hair Bands" couldn't ever duplicate. Similar to Metalica, I went back and bought their catalog that I didn't ever knew existed. I then would pick up every cassette single that came out, from Winter Wonderland to Honestly. I played In God We Trust until the tape broke. I took a ton of junk from my metal head friends in school, because I wore Stryper shirts. Being from Orange County myself, I guess I just related to what they were doing. If you listen to the album Soldiers Under Command, it's as heavy as anything else in those days. They took a huge risk with the Christian angle, but they stuck with it, and believed in it. Robert is a drummer that matters, and is truly part of their sound. You know it's Robert Sweet when you hear it. Few drummers are part of the sound that can't be replaced. Stryper is awesome, always have been.
❤ Very few Drummers want the limelight. Lead guitar and vocalists don't leave much room.
I love Against the Law. All Stryper albums are good. Yes,some are better than the other but all together there they are great.
OZ truly did a phenomenal job singing when mike left. HE WAS IMPRESSIVE. If I was asked to rate MS as a singer he would be A+. OZ a B+ almost and A
My fave drummer! Great interview! You should have asked him about the Aliester Crowley birthday party at Enigma.
Great interview Jason! The Final Battle is a killer album!!
So interesting. I am a guitar player and have played drums with my teeth, my whole life. I guess i am not alone. Lol.
Solid dude. Never really heard much from him but that was cool. Thanks 🙏
Jason can you get Rex carrol from Whitecross on the show! Thier new album comes out in march! Thanks buddy! Ratt n roll
Fucking FINALLY.......for a change we get to hear someone other than Michael Sweet be interviewed. Nice one Jason 👍
Stryper should’ve had a Marvel comic at the height of their popularity in the late 80’s where they’re angelic super heroes who battle a Dr. Doom-like version of Satan. They could’ve rode around in the Soldiers Under Command vehicle battling Satan and solving satanic mysteries… Or maybe a live action movie in ‘88 called Stryper Meets The Devil Of The Park… 🦹🏼♀️🦹🏻🦹🏼♀️🦹🏻 👘👘👘👘

Very cool interview Thanks 🤘 🤘 🤘 🤘 🤘
Another great interview.
What an amazing drummer and cool guy. Robert has been an inspiration to me as a drummer since I was in freshman year of high school in the 80's. He has such energy, timing and power as a drummer. He is a drumming "machine", in the best way. I had the pleasure to see Stryper from front row on the "To Hell With the Devil" tour. I caught a pick from Michael and my cousin caught a bible. On the 30th anniversay of "Too Hell With The Devil", I saw them again and for a second time caught another guitar pick from Michael. It was like the pick of destiny from the Jack Black movie! Amazing. What a great band they have always been! Class act. I even have a couple settings on my electronic drums where I try to emulate his sound on "Too Hell With The Devil" that I call "Stryped".
Another album!!!! That's what I'm talkn bout!!!
Great interview. Thanks!
Awesome interview Jason
Robert influence me in my drumming. Been a fave since Soldiers under Command. Those guys see to be soo much cool. Hope I'll see them before they stop. To bad Tim is not in the band anymore
quite interesting
Another great one I am not a fan of the music, however everyone in that band comes across as the nicest people you would ever meet. Keep em comin Jason.

Amazing interview 👏 I am also Christian and I definitely get what Robert is saying. Just an idea...why don't you do a Robert Sweet/Stephen Pearcy album...that would be really cool 😁
Oz and Robert come from the same school like randy Carlos Traci no ego just inspire the youth
If you only knew the story i have of robert🤫secret!
Rob this is what is kind of missing Stryper had some fun tunes. w/wonderland. do wap song...I remember loving that aspect of the band ANDDDDD. YBA and SUC had a raw production sound ..................Stryper sounded killer then, Stryper was dangerous. It was always my opinion after being a fan since 83' that you tamed it down from IGWT onwards( and maybe the process began from thwtd). You need to get that ACDC rawness back in. Having said that...listen to the polished rawness of two bodies one mind.... that song was really well done. But, I think over time you wound everything down. MISTAKE! Look at IGWT. ...great songs. butttt wayyy too polished -height of your drum stage, your band hides you behind amps. THAT IS CRAZY. I. remember seeing you in Australia at the Hordern pavilion in 87. You were a spectacle. Your drum sizes now are small and you cant be seen. I dont know who is designer your stage presentation but you need to be wound UP a good 4ft from where you are now. YAWNNNNNNN!!!!! Look at KISS....Go back Rob and do the square drum sizes, cymbals on chains. PEOPLE WANT A SHOW- so give them one
Video still hasn’t premiered yet, but already has comments from 8 days ago??? Wtf?
