If I was in her position, I'd have the double mastectomy as well. To the fellas: Inherited mutations in the BCRA1 and BCAR2 genes put you at a higher lifetime risk of breast cancer. It's wise for you to learn how to do self exams and get further advice from your doctor.
The way life is now days I feel like all of us should just get them removed at young age so no worries in future
