CHEK2 Gene Mutation - A Personal Journey - Episode 1 (Spoken English Version)

I'm starting a video blog of my own journey with the CHEK2 gene mutation and it's potential health effects / increased risk of breast cancer and colon cancer. This is meant to not only tell my own story, but to help others with their own personal journeys. The first, and most powerful step is to gather information and share it in an open and honest manner.
I'm involved with both the Deaf and Hearing communities, so there are two versions of this video. Please view the one that best fits your linguistic preferences.
If you would like to contact me, please comment below and I will get back to you.

I see I'm a bit late in seeing this video... But ran across it doing Chek2 research. I, too, have the mutation. No family history of breast cancer, but I lost my mom at 56 to colon cancer and my grandma was diagnosed with colon cancer in her early 30s. Needless to say, I've started my colonoscopy journey. So far, so good. Weirdly enough, I also have a love of ASL. I'm not an interpreter, just a signer, but I was almost to the point of entering the interpreting program when I stopped going. Small world. 😊

I've had both tests done(mammogram and colonoscopy),and am clear. Next MRI will be in March. Breast cancer does not run in my family but colon cancer does. Keep us updated on any new info. I wish you well.
