I feel like the Merle is getting watered down. Due to it being a dominate gene and anyone can just breed any color to a Merle and get Merle puppies. I feel a Lilac & Tan or Platinums are a whole lot harder to achieve due to needing multiple recessive genes to produce.

I love the chocolate! We actually just had a singleton puppy from our old English bulldog. She is actually a chocolate reversed brindle with Merle patches. As far as our French bulldog goes we bred her to a chocolate tri (or chocolate tan point) he also carries lilac, blues and cream, my girl carries blue, cream, brindle, and pie ball. So we are excited to see what we get! Thank you for putting out such and awesome video. I agree chocolate and lilac Merle are definitely in my opinion the most rear and I’m in Alabama.

My puppy is Lilac he’s light grey with tan legs and face with tan eye brows and then his under neck and chest is white. He’s beautiful

I have a blue one! It has a white chest and she has blue eyes with a grey body.

We have a blue pied merle Frenchton. He's gorgeous

I agree merles are going to become generic. A trend thats going to die out soon. I have a blue fawn with tan points myself

I disagree due to the fact that lilac and merels are the most commonly bread Frenchies and now fluffys. They are just higher priest but the ones more unique are the blue and chocolate

I’ll stick to the AKC standards.

Merles are not even real frenchies!! They are chihuahuas bred into the frenchie lines and interbreed! They typically bark a lot and have aggression issues from the chihuahua! Stop creating exotics for money their eyes are not even round but slanted!! Hint 🤣🤣🤣

According to AKC after 6 generations of a Merle is produced it is considered real

I have a chocolate Merle he’s 5 months old the sweetest and most loving dog I’ve ever had AND he hardly ever barks. And his eyes are round lol
