Rare carved edelweiss flowers hunter cuckoo clock
Finding a hunt style cuckoo with carved edelweiss flowers is very, difficult. This is the only example I have currently seen of a hunter's cuckoo clock with carved edelweiss, at least of this model, whatever it may be(identical clocks to this one would be very rare). This clock is one of my favourites since it has wonderful 3D carving which you can get a glimpse of at the end of the video. Unfortunately, there was a problem with the clock where the pendulum would stop swinging, but while I was trying to fix that, I accidentally broke the hour hand, but then I glued it together again. If you see any black marks on the hour hand that's just pen ink as we were trying to draw sketches of what the replacement hour hand would look like. I got this from ebay for only £250 with £12 postage. A couple of carving has chipped off and the antlers are missing, but other than that the clock is is very good condition. Insanely well carved as well, it is by far one of the smoothest and best carved clocks I have!

Yes, original large very rich loud and proud gong sound, this is the loudest clock in my collection. All original except flutes and bellows. Those were replaced in a previous restoration. Pendulum wasn't working when I got it and broke the hour hand trying to figure out why but then I figured that the pendulum bob was too low down so it wouldn't run at all. I slid it up and it's been running like new ever since, the hour hand was superglued since. Original bone hands with original bone nut on the spindle too! It had a glorious antique old-house scent of smell when I got it but that smell eroded away over time and it doesn't really smell much of anything now.

Yes I got it for a bargain price. Clock isn't perfect as the facade has had some noticeable damage done to it throughout it's life. Antlers are missing and pendulum didn't work when the previous owner had it. While figuring out what was wrong with it I broke the hour hand but glued it back. The hands are made out of bone and are original to the clock. The pendulum slider was too low down. I slid it upwards and it worked just fine from there. The pendulum slider controls the clock's speed, slide it downwards if too fast, slide it upwards if too slow... It's an all original clock but the flutes were entirely replaced in a previous refurbishment.
