RARE 1998 Disney Animated Animations Steamboat Willie MOTION serigraph art
Animated Animations is a three-dimensional, fully animated shadow box with sound effects and music. The action is based on the iconic 1928 Mickey Mouse cartoon "Steamboat Willie". The characters are serigraphs that have been die-cut and all the screens used to produce them were destroyed just one year after this amazing piece of animation was created in 1998

My great grandfather had one in his house.. He was born the same year as Mickey, sadly he just passed this year. This was my favorite thing to play with when I went to his house.

Sorry to hear about his passing and I'm glad to hear he lived a long life. I can only aspire to do the same. That's great he like Mickey and had this. I suppose it's a must if you're born the same year. My mom was born in 1940, the same year as Jiminy Cricket and of course that's her favorite Disney character. :-)

These have been off the market for 20 years now. However, if you keep at it looking on eBay, you may eventually find one of these rare pieces. Good luck! :-)

I have one in great working condition with all parts intact. I have no idea what they are worth, I saw a used one on eBay for $ 3,499 and a new one for $ 3,500. Those prices seem high but I guess they are such a rare item and Disney collectors are a unique breed.
