The song speaks on grief and how you forget how to be yourself when you lose someone so suddenly, someone so impactful. This song refers to the grief of having had lost his friend Joe as he went through a long period of depression after his suicide. Anyway Glad you guys are checking out his music. If you get a chance,listen to uninvited or any of the love music, especially part 4. People forget that Ren has a funny side a lot of the time so a lot of good humorous music goes unnoticed.

After doing his Hip Hop album, Ren has said he will be going back more to his singing with a guitar for his next album, much of it he says is written. I hope some of it will be more duets with Chinchilla. Indeed it would be nice to have some of it with the Big Push too.

It’s a song about when a loved one takes their life what is a brother without a sibling? a father without a son? A husband without a wife? Can they be themselves as theyre haunted in mourning for the dearly departed? when a piece of you dies you forget how to be you.

Ren wrote this song as a continuation of his ode to his childhood friend Joe who committed suicide, he’s done several. Ren and Chinchilla are both independent artists.. both amazing, and certainly amazing as a duo. Great reaction, thanks!!

there is no proof of that happening, nor is there any proof he jumped from the bridge. Police could not confirm any reports of anyone jumping from that bridge or could place Joe near it, just because his phone pinged near it doesn't mean he was on it to jump. No body has been ever found either, and bodies do float eventually, unless weighted. In that case they should of found his body if it was weighted down.

They We’re both with the same label years ago and left at the same time and thus began a long dialogue about being independent artist and the rest is history

They suit each other so well. I think they trust each other implicitly.

Gives me chills every time. If somehow he found himself performing live at a televised award show, be it the Grammys or MTV or what have you, this is the song I want to see performed and with her. Pretty sure the song is about his friend that committed suicide jumping off a bridge and not knowing how to feel after a long period of grieving. "When he gave up the fight, a quick decision late in the night, that stayed with me for all of my life, I miss you so."

They are both completely independent. They used to have the same management. The first time they worked together was Chalk Outlines. There are studio versions of this and Chalk Outlines. Chinchilla “Elements” I guarantee it will surprise you. She just recently put out a new single called “Cut you Off” and believe it or not no one loses any appendages in it 😉😂❤️

This song is about Ren dealing with the grief of losing his childhood friend Joe at the age of 19 when he jumped off a bridge. If you haven't done so yet you should really do Ren's songs Suic!de and For Joe in that order. The first is about the view from both sides of Suic!de. The second is sort of an ode to his friend. Both are stunningly beautiful and well worth a watch. ❤

Love Ren and Chinchilla!!! Chinchilla has a new lyric video out for her new song, "Cut You Off." I don't think there's an official music video. It's a great song. There's also some videos of Ren and Chinchilla busking together. Chinchilla is independent like Ren, they had the same management team and are both now independent. The label treated Chinchilla badly. Little Girl Gone by Chinchilla is a song aimed at her old label but it is also a girl power song! Fingers Live for HungerTV by Chinchilla is amazing as well! Btw, you guys might want to check out Nova Rockafeller (Tom MacDonald's girlfriend) just put out a very impactful song called "Lost Girls" last Friday, November 10th. It would be great to see you guys react to it, it's a little bit outside of her normal genre. Nova raps, sings, plays instruments, and she is the videographer for almost all of her and Tom's music videos and this is her first fully independent song since she signed with Island Def Jam over 12 years ago! She was finally able to cut the last string with the music industry so this song is very important to her and she's such an amazing artist and genuine human being that it would be awesome for her first independent song to get #1 on the Billboards, it would be another example that artists can do this independently if they put in the work! Just like Tom MacDonald, Adam Calhoun, Ren, etc.... All of the independent artists that are able to top charts without the machine backing them! ❤❤

It's from the perspective of someone suffering severe depression. The have an inability to cope with the despair and is suffering with their own perceived hopelessness and feeling alone and broken and suicidal... the last bit is from the perspective of the one left behind after the person took their own life. It's about his friend, Joe, who jumped from a bridge when they were in their late teens. And the last bit is himself. I've been on both sides of the noose, so to speak. It's a dark place to be in and you can't see any way out but one. You aren't trying to hurt anyone. You're not really thinking about anyone else at all. You just want to stop the endless pain. It's a selfish decision, but not in a hateful way. You just can't see past the darkness. It's everything and you literally can't see anything or anyone else. And when you're left behind, the pain is unlike any other. When someone passes from their own hand it leaves a wound that never really heals. It's the worst kind of hurt. Almost a betrayal, but one that leaves you feeling guilty and wondering, because it didn't have to happen. There's no closure, no healing. It stays with you. If you have a loved one who seems to be in a bit of a bad place reach out. Or the funny people in your life. Just check in on them. The caretakers too. Actually, just make sure you tell those you love that you love them and you care. Make sure to check in. Sometimes that hand is the light that someone needs to see a path through. Or even a few steps ahead. Trust me, sometimes we just need to hear that we aren't alone. 🌻💜 hugs to all who need one. And to anyone who needs to know it; you are loved and you are not alone. Ren has often referred to Chinchilla as his musical soulmate. The song was dedicated to his friend Joe who, like in this video being filmed on top of a bridge, jumped off a bridge never to be found again. The last solo lines were directly about it

You get to the end of the song and as Ren does so often he then breaks the 4th wall and says, "When HE gave up the fight, the decision he made stayed with me for the rest of my life. I miss you so." This was yet another song influenced by his best friend Joe who took his own life... Others include; Freckled Angels, Su!c!de, For Joe (which he song live for Joe's Family this year). "I forgot how to be me". The song Freckled Angel talks about how happy and cheerful Joe was...

Ren and Chinchilla were under the same management at one point -- they both left and are both 100% independent, and both really hitting their stride right now and getting the attention they deserve. It's fantastic to see. To hear. :D Psychosis? Noooo, it's grief. At the end Ren is talking about his friend who died, the song is about grief. Grief hurts so much you forget how to be you.

I couldn't put my finger on what makes these two sound so good together, until another reactor, @PrymalChaos, said something about the skills needed to do a proper duet, and how Ren x Chinchilla broke all the rules. He was on to something, see when two or more people sing together, they sing a little different, compromise a bit, so they can stay in pitch and harmonize with each other, When Ren x Chinchilla sing together there is no compromise, no singing different, in this song and "Chalk Outlines" , they both are singing as if they are singing solo, not afraid to bend a note or add some grit. Despite that though, they always seem to know where the other one is at, vocal wise, and their tones and notes sang, weave in and out of each other, never clashing, but just missing each other, like two dragonfly's dancing around each other mid air. and it just seems so effortless to them, yet the end result is such sweetness on our ears. The song is about his psychosis and also his sense of loss from the loss of his best friend Joe, who jumped from the Menai bridge and was killed, with the body never recovered. He is a recurring figure in Ren's music, the eponymous 'Freckled Angel' of his first album, and the subject of the final stanza of Su!cide.
