I’ve never really been into the original song (shocking I know) but I love everything this group does. They cover a wide variety of music with 2 members being classical trained opera, a musical theatre performer & a rock singer. They do indeed have original songs - Save Our Souls, Utopia & White Night.

I saw in your playlist you llike "Muse". Kang HyungHo ("Soprano"/Rock Songer) - one of Forestella' gifted talents- performs solo as PITTA and is also a "Muser". I definitely recommend his amazing version of "SURVIVAL m/v". Definitely one of the BEST COVER versions I've heard so far. Or "City of Delusion" and "Showbiz & Citizen deleted & microcuts" (fantastic) - live recordings - "Pitta" is also a great singer/songwriter with incredible skills over 3 1/2 octaves. His songs are deep and very complex. Hear "BE FREE" (with Muse vibes) from his latest mini-album with same name. Highly recommended!

Freddie wrote Bohemian Rhapsody. Freddie wrote the most of their songs and Brian May was not too far behind. Roger Taylor (drummer) and John Deacon (bass player) each wrote several songs.

All of the members of Queen sang on the original. IIRC the drummer was the one that hit the highest notes in the song. Also the Fandango is a dance from Spain and Portugal.

Pretty sure QUEEN acknowledges they couldn’t do the opera part live, so the overdubbed recording was used for that part of their lives? At least that is my understanding… I’m happy to be corrected if I got it wrong… . Forestella does this live at every single concert …

I think this pays great homage to the original. Of course, it is not as good as the original, just as Hollywood stated, but they add their own tweak, and still do it justice.

Freddie Mercury wrote the lyrics in about 1975. The song is epic, but doesn't hold up well in at least one way. It has come up against some controversy from Muslims in the internet age for the use of the sacred word "bismillah." Forestella has suffered some blowback for it as well from people who don't know it's a cover song. Forestella is a classical crossover quartet consisting of 2 opera singers, a musical actor and a freak of nature. The freak of nature is the countertenor. He had no prior musical training so he comes by that amazing voice naturally! They have released 4 albums containing both originals and covers. Forestella performs a lot on a Korean musical variety show called "Immortal Songs" where popular artists cover the "immortal songs" of prior artists. This performance was on that show. Queen never performed that middle part live. In studio they used 16 tracks and dubbed over them 62 to 64 times to the point they almost broke the tapes and had to stop. I've been a fan of Queen from BEFORE they were famous. Freddie loved Opera. Rhapsody was a nod to that before he went seriously Operatic with Montserrat Cabele. Even Queen never sang the middle section live. A video would play, and then Brian would lead them back onstage. When Cho Mingyu sang "Mama just killed a man", sorry... THAT line hit harder than when Freddie sang it.

Freddie was a truly phenomenal performer. It WAS the whole band. Roger Taylor (drummer) did the high notes. They all multi tracked the choir part. If you want to see a genius performer like Freddie Mercury or David Bowie have a look at Hua Chenyu "Nunchucks" 😂 I can't telly you anything other than.. it comes to life when he gets up from the piano. 😳🤣It's not even in my Top 60 Hua Chenyu Performances. But it is a good, fun intro to a tiny bit of what he can do.. Composer, music Arranger, multi instrumentalist Rocker, Rapper, Reggae 😉 Pop, SynthPop, Electronic, Accoustic, Broadway, Traditional Chinese and on and on. His "God Tree" in his 2023 Mars Concerts is a feast for the eyes and ears.

What blows my mind, is the fact it takes 4 of them to hit all the notes that Freddy hit by himself.

Freddie Mercury era excelente pero la parte de Opera tardaron mucho en hacerla en estudio editando y fue difícil para ellos por eso esa parte nunca la tocaron en vivo dejaban el escenario en esa parte y había juego de luces mientras pasaba la pista , y pues #Forestella lo hace de forma perfecta y en vivo siempre, tienen voces impresionantes!!
