BABYMETAL don't just do concerts, they put on a show full of drama and theatre. What a way to open your first headlining show in your home town - nobody else could even dream of making an entrance anything near as spectacular as that. Su-metal did, just before her 20th birthday.

@@Hollywood6IX well, it was Su's 20th birthday party in her home town. That's why Moa wasn't on stage. Yui wasn't on stage because this was the first show she missed. At the last minute she couldn't go. They did the entire concert with two and the crowd yelled all of Yui's parts. It would have been the coolest concert ever if Yui had returned. Instead it's very sad because we never saw her again. It was also Mikio's last show he fell to his death only days later.

THE most epic opening to a show ever in the history of mankind. Appropriate for the Queen on her birthday and homecoming show in Hiroshima. The only bummer about this concert was Yui missing it. Su and Moa performed their hearts out despite this sudden bad news. Kami band rocked out per usual.

⚡ 💕 / 🦊 🦊 🦊 This was the first show without Yui. She was scheduled to perform, but her doctors advised against it. They announced shortly before the first of the two 'LEGEND S' concerts started that she would not be appearing. Unfortunately, she hasn't shared the stage with Su and Moa since then. 'LEGEND - S - BAPTISM XX' celebrated Su's 20th birthday. "20" is one of the inspirations for the XX symbol you could see on her staff, etc. 20 is also the traditional coming of age in Japan, and still legal adulthood for many things. They were also the only concerts (so far) held in Su's home prefecture of Hiroshima.

Best concert opening ever! This concert is Legend S (as for Legend Su-metal) Yeah this great concert is just her birthday concert. The whole concert was astounding but sadly this is the first concert without yui. this song is like Babymetal Death, used for intro. All ten of the 1st generation Sakura Gakuin members designed a t-shirt in collaboration with the MONO COMME ÇA company. They wore those shirts at the first concert, and they were sold in MONO COMME ÇA retail stores. The same company also designed the original Sakura Gakuin uniforms.

The name your thinking of is the Egyptian god Anubis. He was a Jackal. but close. FYI: this video is the opening for BABYMETAL Baptism XX. performed in her home town of Hiroshima before or after Queen Su's 20th birthday. P.S. it is only Su and Mao before any back up dancers.

Talking about top notch Broadway or Disney production, huh? You can hear some influences of Sepultura on drums here (according to KobaMetal). This live version is outstanding for sure and got a special place in our hearts because it was SuMetal 20th birthday (last show of Mikio before he passed away and first show without YuiMetal), a bittersweet live concert for sure, but recently at 10 Budokan shows another awesome live performance has been played and it rivals very serious with Legend S Baptism XX, now i can't decide which one is better o_O I think annunaki belong to sumerian ancient culture, fox imagery is rather different to that, unless you're confusing with anubis from egyptian myth which have canine head, more like a wolf rather than a fox, but i get what you're saying. Also you mentioned "Wrestlemania", i don't know about that because i'm not a fan, but KobaMetal is a wrestler shows fan, and he admited to insert those theatrical elements into Babymetal shows. Yesterday was YuiMetal birthday and we wish her nothing but happiness and joy to our super kawaii tomato princess and angel of dance 🍅❤️ Yui left the group it was her decision and recently at Metal Hammer someone close to Yui-chan said and confirmed that she leave the band because _"it was time to follow her path"_ I'm ok with that and respect her but if she wants to got nothing relative to Babymetal we must respect her and no new pictures from her in 10 anniversary make senses for me. This weekend comes the 10 Budokan Legend livestream, so i hope you can upload some new BM vid on monday so i will let you know how about that, i hope you can watch it too, it's gonna be dope for sure. Nice reaction. Yup nothing to see here just an amazing opening to Su's 20th birthday concert know as Legend S. Could you imagine in 1000 years someone finds this concert. They might lose their minds. Side note for a while it was in the Undertakers contract that he could not lose at Wrestlemania. Back to Babymetal, Yui left them. Babymetal made the choice to move on without her. Part of that is No photos of someone whose not part of the group. Or team Babymetal as Moa put it once. If Yui feels bad about it she could have came back. They left her spot open for 3yrs now. Just a feeling I have but it seems like Babymetal was like ok you do you and we're gonna move on as us. As you might remember Legend S was the first show without Yui. And you guys play this a just a few days after her birthday, hmm. Yui fans crying already. I love Yui too but after 3yrs I personally am ready for a new full time 3rd member. If it turns out to be Momoko. I'm cool with that, she's been doing a great job for the last 25 plus shows in a row. And if it's someone new, we'll have to wait and see how they do. Good info. An earlier version of the BABYMETAL logo had an "S" shaped lightning bolt for Su, instead of the wings. The heart and the skull designs have been there from the beginning. The kanji in "Moa" can be translated as "Most Beloved", and her Sakura Gakuin catchphrase was "Treasure love the most", based on her name. Even before BABYMETAL, Yui wore clothes with skulls and skeletons.

The hearts in the Bs are from Moa, the Angel of Love. The little skull is Yui's and the wings represent Su. Sakura Gakuin trains the girls in not only singing and dancing but also acting and modeling, so they are fully capable of captivating an audience without singing a note. In the large shows now, the girls wear crazy masks and outfits, each show being a little different. They can get pretty weird, at least in my opinion. :)

I'm so happy you finally got to react to this video, thank you! The reason she came out alone is because this concert occurred on her birthday in her home town of Hiroshima and the epic prologue to this song talked about how she is the Messiah - a belief that's difficult to argue after how well BABYMETAL has united the world with diversely appealing music, strength, and courage. Although IN THE NAME OF was performed at this concert prior to the release of Metal Galaxy, it's the only song from that album they officially performed at this concert (there was a clever instrumental sneak peak of Shine during a monologue) a concert which marked the turning point of Yui's career since she couldn't perform from that day forward. So, METAL GALAXY isn't known to actually have Yui at all (except possibly Night Night Burn) which is why Yui isn't on the album. It's truly heart breaking, particularly in hind sight, because this concert had the most epic theatrical stage of any concert they've done to date so having Yui at this one would have arguably been their greatest concert ever. Infinity credit to MOAMETAL though for holding everything down the best anyone could in an unimaginable sudden trial. I highly recommend people buy the full quality bluray to watch the entire beginning of IN THE NAME OF (the opening monologue is beautiful and yet so ominous) and the finale song THE ONE which was truly an incredibly touching moment between Su-METAL and MOAMETAL as they began their new journey forward together - 2 as ONE. IMO, this video is arguably my top favorite epic moment in BABYMETAL history.. 1.) IN THE NAME OF - Legend S (the theatrical summit of BABYMETAL) 2.) Synocpation - Budokan Red Night (the moment BABYMETAL first broke full band nirvana, you can sense it on their expression during fade out) 3.) Gimme Chocolate - Legend 1997 (what started it all of course and i've been a die hard since 3 days after its KZread release 😁) 4.) Karate - Rock-May-Kan (the moment when Yui momentarily appears to be walking forward with the 3 girls is absolutely ♥️😭🍅) 5.) Pa Pa Ya!! - The Sun Also Rises (bluray audio is completely different than studio version and the energy is absolutely insane!!) Too many honorable mentions to even mention lol p.s. as a wrestling fan myself, do a Google image search for BABYMETAL 2k18 and check out the YUIMETAL and MOAMETAL game covers. You're welcome 🦊

This opening sets the bar in the clouds for bands. To me this is the best opening period. Ok. I have a serious recommendation. Next you should do Headbanger from Metal Galaxy in 2020. This version of Headbanger shows how bad ass Su is. There is a part in it that so many just watching this version are bowing in front of their computers. Su looks so bad ass and 10 ft tall. The spectacle of this performance is another over the top.

I always loved this epic opening. It gives me Conan the Barbarian vibes from the scene with the snake "god" but this time with foxes. BTW remember we are #notacult 🤘🦊🤘

Besides having the voice of an angel, Suzuka is a promising actress. I wouldn't be surprised at all if, at a certain point in her life, she would really go for that.

This song is opener gold for live shows and has a mysterious power over my gas pedal when driving. Use with caution.

I am a big fan of the late 80s old school thrash metal band Sepultura. Babymetal "In The Name Of" reminds me of Sepultura "Roots Bloody Roots". It has that tribalism feel. This was Queen Su 20th birthday celebration. Queen Su is the Sith Lord. This opening replaces Babymetal Death from their previous performance. There is no official statement with regards to Babymetal releasing a new album but if it true, that will be awesome. This is one of the Opening songs for concerts, usually followed by Distortion. They used a new version of Babymetal Death to open some of the 10 Budokan shows earlier this year, and lately they also often use Future Metal followed by Da Da Dance as another opener!

Legend S is first time concert without YUI-metal , last time with Mikio Fujioka (KAMIBAND) before he passed away on January 2018 🥺😭

The stage I believe is built on two scissor lifts side by side so it can go up and down and move forward and back, they still use this set up today the Pa Pa Ya MV uses this type of stage to great effect. To set the scene a little more everyone in the crowd were wearing black hooded cloaks and three eyed fox half masks where the third eye could be made to light up. It makes me smile that there was probably someone in that crowd who had no idea who Babymetal were that were taken to that show by a friend and who must have been thinking WTH is this? I hope I make it out of here alive

Usually by the time a new album is released, they've already performed several of the new songs live. There haven't been any so far. Although they have mentioned in recent interviews that they are working on new songs, that's always the case. I've seen zero official mentions from BABYMETAL, or any source I'd consider a reliable one, that a new album is likely anytime soon.
