Technically they have two trilogies now: Losing My Mind, Losing My Life, Drugs, and Voices in My Head, Zombified, Watch the World Burn (which also have some tie-ins with each other). FIR and Ronnie are just way too epic, only started listening to them back in 2019 and then immediately went to see them live in 2020 and haven't looked back since!

This song made me a believer in Ronnie whole heartedly! I had heard a few songs and recognized the talent, but this one made Ronnie stand high above the rest! The story, after watching it so many times, is about the woman (Saraya, his real life partner) waking up after however long being turned into a vampire. She relives everything that she lived through while living with him, and then finding out about him actually being what he was pushed her over the edge. He realized that his being was too much for her in that instance that he accepted his fate when the mob came after him… the song is her dealing with the realization that SHE is a Vampire after all that time and not wanting to live without him. It’s that “life flashing before my eyes” or “life reflection” before death that we got to witness from her perspective. There is also the perspective of Ronnie trying to convince her that he isn’t what he is, but I do believe the first to be the more accurate of the two. Great reaction! Everybody feels the exact same way when they hear this song, and it just rings more and more true with everyone who hears it!

the video was shot at his house during the pandemic, the woman in the video is his real life partner Paige (yes the wrestler) and this video won some awards

I got to see Ronnie at the last warped tour and it was sooooo good. Someone passed up a sex doll and he held it in his arms and did a whole song with it. He also had a fan sing the original version of this song with him. Honestly a super nice guy

I believe the story is her reliving, first, when she was living with the vampire, then when she found out, and finally when he sacrificed himself, after converting her, to save her from the mob. She then sacrificed herself to the sun as he had done for her. My daughter and I were bummed when Ronnie had laryngitis on his recent visit to Minnesota but we still got to see Disturbed, which was epic in itself.

Popular Monster was my introduction to FIR/Ronnie. I don't know how I existed before that 😂😂

This song literally made me cry, the part where he was on the top of the cliff gave me chills and tears man. His voice is so damn good and powerful its insane! Also I'm super jelly cause I can't sing at all lol 😅

Keep in mind they're usually doing it into a microphone in front of them and aren't always using as much of their voice to reach the same volume as someone singing along and there's also mixing behind it. you got it with practice.

The original song was entirely a drug reference, with him being a "vampire" and the drugs being the "blood" that he can't let go of. So the more vampiric verse wouldn't have made much sense, but it's awesome how he created two entirely different meanings for the song with matching music videos.

The vampiric verse does make since if you frame it from an intravenous drug user. Specifically sharpening the teeth and draw the only thing that’s real. Drive a stake through my heart because I’m a vampire. I’ve always interpreted that as if the syringe is part of the story. The heroin is a vampire. Leeching the life from the user while giving a sense of euphoria. Etc. It’s probably a shit interpretation but fits in my head at least and part of me wishes it was in the original honestly.

Trust me they cannot make a bad song. Ronnie is a gift to the world. Supreme.

The original was the first song from FIR I heard when it came out, and years later I got this suggested in my feed without hearing anything from them since. The difference in those few years is fucking mind blowing. Legit gone from a band that I kinda liked ish to my favourites by a country mile. No one else can pull shit like this off.
