When he says against "I ain't hear a word you sayin “HIPPIDY HOPLA" he was mocking lotto because he started his diss in the beginning clearing his throat saying" HA HUHH HHERR" Eminem was goin back from his beginning and dissing him

Now while he stands tough, notice that this man did not have his hand up - I always thought that this was a genius move, because Rabbit turned the whole crowd against Falcon with a single line.

It was said multiple times that the actors had a guy writing stuff for them to say Eminem had no idea what was going to be said he wanted to be legit so his rebuttal was on point that was him freestyling

100%. When I watched that the first time with a group of ppl, everyone was dying at that part. Sometimes in a live rap battle, u gotta play to the crowd and address the obvious - Lotto sounded ridiculous and Em made fun of it hilariously.

That “I got a better chance joining the kkk” is so fucking outrageous it’s unbelievable My favourite bar of the whole film

I think the most ironic line of it all is when em said "1pac 2pac 3pac 4. Your pac hes pac no pacs, none" because Anthony mackie LITERALLY played Tupac in Notorious, a movie about Biggie

Setting up Pappa Doc at the end with “now tell these people something they don’t know about me” was the most genius part of the last battle. It sums up everything he said and that line in itself is what gives the “uh oh” mindset to the response. Just perfection!

That Shook Ones beat till this day is sooo hard 🔥

In the last rap battle. It wasnt Rabbit against clarence. It was Detroit vs clarence. And how clarence was an outsider, using Detroit as his little place to play make believe. A point highlighted by rabbit sitting down, and blending in with the crowd.

I find the lickity split rhyme is more complex than what you think when you put it in context: “yeah, they call me Rabbit, this is a turtle race He can't get with me, spittin' this shit wickedly Lickety shot suspicious spickety split lickety” He’s telling him he’s a rabbit in a turtle race and unlike the fable this is a sprint and not a marathon so ain’t nobody faster than him, then proceeds to rhyme in a fast complex rhyme scheme telling him he can’t keep up with him while laughing at his name. Add to that that he’s responding to Lickity making fun of him being a “Rabbit” during his verse and the rhyme becomes more than just Em rapping fast cuz he didn’t know what to say.

So when Em said “One, two, three, and to the four One Pac, two Pac, three Pac, four Four Pac, three Pac, two Pac, one You're Pac, he's Pac, no Pac, none” He was basically saying all these dudes be out here tryna act like thugs and gangsters and rap like Pac but they’re not. He’s basically saying none of you will be Pac.

If you watch one of the battles he was in at the Rap Olympics in real life he does a similar blahbityhoopla line so I think that was just supposed to be a little easter egg.

50 cent said he and Em are working on 8 mile the series!

8 mile is so underrated, it's an amazing move. Heartfelt, scary, a movie that speaks to us in the hood in trailers and Detroit in general. Em is an amazing actor.

The 2pac bars are actually funny to me as Anthony Mackie went on to play 2pac in Notorious about 4 years after this movie came out 😂

2nd battle was my favorite, I think by far the best back-and-forth disses out of the whole battle. His opponent spits it nasty throwing a combination of everything, The way Em flipped it on him though was Genius.

One thing I love about the final rap against Papa Doc is that every single rapper against him was saying that Rabbit is a white man and that the crowd will never accept him but Rabbit basically refutes that by explaining to "everyone in the 313" that the man they are technically rooting for came from a life of privilege and faking on being one of them.

I think me and Crypt think alike. I love breaking down songs. Punchlines and metaphors and stuff like that. I enjoy the double and triple entendres as well

Man, I’d love for Eminem to use this beat in his new album as the intro and just come in so hard like he did with premonition in MTBMB

The fact he called him a choke artists twice doesn’t seem repetitive to me, seems more like he said it the first time then it inspired his freestyle so he started it with that

Ems last verse. His ending line. Its the equivalent of having just unloading an entire rifle mag into someone and then blowing his head of with a shotgun for good measure.

I enjoyed the behind the scenes part when Eminem was mouthing all his raps because he was losing his voice, but after this girl took shots at him, Em turned the mic back on and did a real freestyle battle with her.

Crypt you should react to more battle rap shit imo, like best bars of all time etc

I think eminem is making fun of the people who say they can't understand him when he raps fast and is basically saying that "you can't get with me spitting this..." basically nonsense. so even if he spits nonsense, hes saying the other rapper still isn't on his level with actual bars. kind of reminds me of what i think kanye west went for with the "poopdidy scoop" song. so as a meta-bar, he's rapping to show that even when people don't understand what he is saying, he still sounds good. so good in fact, that his opponent can't even get with him or get on the same level as him

irl, when it was Em vs Juice, at the final round juice went first, and when it was Em's turn Juice cleared the stage. Em had to battle an empty stage since juice left. Obv Em had to spit a verse but it caught him off guard so he didn't and lost the round. In the movie, Em does the same thing for papa doc and just sit in the corner of the stage. Fun fact, Brittney Murphy never flipped off before this movie. and because they wanted to add that moment to the movie, Em had to teach her how to do it. since he's the one that showed her how to do it, she does it like him (open hand) and not the common fist closed.
