Ronnie Dunn is one of the best vocalists in the country music world. He has so much soul and loved dearly by his fellow artists. He and Kix Brooks are both strong believers as you will find with the majority of country singers.Check out more of their music, you won't be disappointed. I love watching your reactions,I grew up listening to Cash,Haggard,Jones, ect but my first album was Al Green.Love old blues, soul, country. My grandfather had all of Johnny Cash live albums. What a great time to grow up for my 7 siblings and I,in a music loving family.

This song is such a whole nother level of spiritual - absolutely incredible!!! A time gone by when neighbors were neighbors - who saw color? I SAW LOVE, TENDERNESS, COMPASSION & a valuable teaching moment in the simplest fashion possible!!! I saw RESPECT for life, this man had fought for his country - but he survived, only to bury his wife & child . . . & had neighbors who showed him RESPECT & checked on him regularly to thank him for his service & sympathy for his loss! There is nothing more powerful than bittersweet tears of joy in sorrow, "I didn't know whether to laugh or cry!" Ooooh! Where is that America? Did it ever really exist? or only in the memory of Mr. DUNN? I thought that was a picture of him as a boy & the man on the porch swing together - like the family put the wife & daughter photos in the coffin with man, then left the Bible out there for the boy to find, as if to give him the Bible! Congestion problems, huh!!! That's okay, I'm crying enough for both of us!!! I don't know anything about you, I don't know how your video showed up on my screen - I've been binge watching John Rich Revelation videos & just like you, Brooks & Dunn "Believe" caught my eye - never heard any of their songs either, far as I know - but WOW!!! You've got a new subscriber!!! God bless all who watch this video !!! BTW - NOBODY had a voice like Johnny Cash!!! But you need to find the Statler Brothers, dude!!! Seriously! oom bopa oom bopa oom bopa bow wow (repeat) Elvira!

Words have power and Ronnie Dunn (Lead singer in this song) and Kix Brooks (guitarist and back up vocal in this song) are very much devout Christians, song writers, and lyrical geniuses. They came together as a duo in the country music world in 1990. They parted ways in the Fall of 2009 and Ronnie Dunn did some solo vocals and duos with other 90's country artists throughout the years, particularly at award shows. BUT Brooks & Dunn are back together and doing a reboot tour this year, which is a blessing to the country music fans that have adored there artistry for decades!

I have heard this song so many times as i grew up on 90s country music. It definitely hits different as a adult. Ronnie Dunn is the lead singer. Kix brooks plays guitar. They were huge in the 90s.

You need to check out the song Three Wooden Crosses by Randy Travis, it is alot like this song and it tells a VERY profound story like this song does! I think it will leave you feeling this same way at the end of it! These songs are the epitome of what Country Music is supposed to be!!! I ADORE the old-school Country Classics and Randy Travis, George Strait , Brooks & Dunn etc... These artists are the heart of Country Music just like Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Waylon and Willie!

Brooks and Dunn are two amazing singers and men. One is from Oklahoma and the other is from Texas, brought together by the record label and fate to go on to become one of the best, most loved duos in country music. They have an amazing record of wins and awards across the industry. Check out their other songs and listen to Brooks singing, his voice is just as amazing and together they are magical. They retired a few years back but still come together occasionally to perform and hopefully someday record again. That would be beautiful. Both have done independent music after they retired but together they're gold.

You got it right on the words written in red. The guy playing the guitar is Kix Brooks. The guy singing lead here is Ronnie Dunn. They are (I think) the most decorated and awarded duo in Country music ever. Ronnie wrote this, inspired by a friendship he had with an older man when he was a kid, who lived down the street from Ronnie's family. They do both sing, but Ronnie has such a great voice. They have a ton of hits.

Until you've lost someone incredibly close, maybe someone you've lived a life with, you can't understand what his running back to the old house meant. You tend to look for them. Expect to see them. Every time I see him stop in his tracks before knocking at the door, it hurts as much as the first time. For months after my husband died I would be check my movements, trying to be very quiet after his usual bedtime when I was still up, thinking to disturb his sleep. It would only last a second or two, but it was like being knifed between the shoulders when realization came. But we do only mourn for ourselves, not the departed.

Coming from south Louisiana, in a small town, this happened a lot. Growing up shortly after desegregation, we bridged the gap. I had the pleasure of the sweetest relationship with two incredible older black ladies. They meant THE WORLD to us. For me, this song pays tribute to them. Looking forward to seeing Mz B McKinney and Mz Liza again!! I thank you for that reminder!

Brooks & Dunn are the #1 Duo in Country music. They started out going to Nashville separately (not knowing each other) and some how they were put together as a Duo. Hands down, the Best. "Brooks & Dunn sold over 30 million albums, had twenty number-one singles on Billboard, and were one of the most-consistently successful acts on the concert circuit."
