The criminal thing about Hwei's colors being all blue is that there are more than enough dinstinct colors in an aurora borealis to give him more. Some purple, some green, some blue, hell maybe even some white

I agree. They do work in the blue/purple/green into the color changes of his paint worm whenever he changes spellbooks, but it's pretty subtle even still. I like it though, there could be worse release skins.

Exactly! If anything, they should have implemented the various colors of the “cool color spectrum” ie blues, purples and greens, instead of just VERY slight variations of blue. He’s supposed to utilize a myriad of complimentary/contrasting colors! Not only for aesthetics, but also to help players know, even from a distance, what abilities he’s using. Love everything about the skin, but the visuals are a let down.

Rakan's skin is actually complementary to Xayah's Phoenix skin! They're a common newlywed theme, Phoenixes and Dragons. They represent yin and yang and are a symbol of marital bliss!!

The ironic part is that his skins are flipped, his base skin matches Xayahs prestige more while Rakans prestige matches Xayahs normal skin, so no matter what you try to do, Xayah and Rakan duos with OCD will get a brain anyurisim

Dragonmancer Rakan is a connected skin to Phoenixmancer Xayah, and that’s her prestige as well, so technically they were catching up

The thing I think really fits with Hweis first skin is that he is based off of Jack Frost. It makes the skin so much more charming, with him ice skating with normal shoes in both the recall and his WQ. Notably Senna is also somewhat inspired off of the sugar plum fairy.

Yknow what i wouldve been even better as a launch skin tho? Little Prince Hwei, thats what i thought this skin was when i first saw it It would work so well with his spell animations too, His Qs could have Rose effects, His Ws would be his companion Fox, Es the Serpent. Dunno what youd do with the R but i feel like there was a missed opportunity here to give him something very special at launch

Oh and since the brush is a core part of Hweis design i figured it could look like Fox's tail, maybe Fox transformed into the Brush and turns back in the recall animation. Theres so much potential in the concept!

My friends and I were laughing so hard because we were talking about how well they did with Hwei's visual clarity for the most part for a good 5 minutes, only to see them throw that out the window entirely with his LAUNCH SKIN.

demacia-vice(city) is so unpopular that recall was my first time ever seeing in game,no one uses that skin and i am glad that someone remembers it.

Hot take: Camille should have been the legendary. I get the lore didn't prioritize her but this line's aesthetics are a wonderful match for her. Love the hair buns too. Age her up, go hard on the effects and you'd have a banger skin for champion who doesnt have one.

The hole skinline is basically "Yeah they are fine, but why wouldn't you pick the better skins?" The first batch at least had some unusual suspects (Mainly Zilean and Shaco) getting some attention, but this time, everybody but the newcomer is a champion with a huge catalog of high quality skins, often already with an ice / winter theme.

Holiday skins used to be something to look foward to, but they'll never stop just putting champions in witch hats for halloween and elegant snowy clothes for christmas ever again, will they?

i think it's a case of a good skinline that had a great and self-contained lore, with the 3 guardians and the 2 gifts and chosen of the Aurora and stuff, but then they had to make which ultimately could only make the return feel bloated and unecessary. at least they finally found something interesting to do with Camille's leg blades, like come on turning them into ice skates is genius.

1:32 gladly, high noon literally does not change her combat animations. Love this skinline, I think hwei is the only one that feels genuinely useless here, Atleast Annie is charming and SIMPLE which I really do like for an Annie skin. I’m happy the skinline is back, it truly is a fairytale and Senna was an amazing fit for the Polaris her must translates beautifully to the Aurora. And I’m very glad this skin survived the second batch curse, truly a fantastic comeback.

With the Rakan skin Im glad he got the prestige after hearing that the dragonmancer skinline and the phoenixmancer are the same universe so now they both have skins in universe. Im not entirely sure its true but the thought is nice at least.

Winterblessed is my favourite skin line for the winter season. I love this release, Senna is absolutely adorable and I am obsessed with this skin for her it's my favourite but I think the problem with this skin line is that they gave lots of skins to champions that already have amazing skins. All of these champions bar Hwei have skins already that I like just as much so it doesn't really make me feel like I need to purchase them. That being said I brought the pass just to get the Hwei border, chroma and emotes, I purchased all of his stuff lmfao I am desperately sobbing into my hands giving riot my money hoping that they don't put him in jail with Vex and Rell because they are two of my favourite champs that are painfully under appreciated content wise and I feel like it's the curse of every champ I love lmfao. I am happy that Rell got a star guardian skin but it is kinda mid and generally one of the weaker sg skins, they released so many that year and I feel like the quality suffered a lot and I don't like either of Vexes skins. I like cute girly things and spooky things so you'd think Vex would easily have a skin to fit my preference but apparently not.

As rad as winterblessed swain is, i kinda miss the old snowdown/snowday skins. Just the champs goofing off is nice, and graves with a candy cane and snowblower is one of the cutest things.

I love the Senna and Hwei skin. Its my new favourite Senna skin although im not a big user of her High Noon one anyways

I think you hit the nail on the head with champions who double up on legendaries. High Noon Senna is such a fantastic skin that I find the second one really unnecessary and have little reason to switch to the other one. WInterblessed is really pretty but it just doesn't quite hit as hard and so I think it'll kind of fade away in the minds of players eventually

This wont be seen but If they made Sylas' skin a reference to that one Christmas thing where the dad goes up on the roof and gets tangled in the lights you couldve had a fun reference and a good way to make his chains make sense But sadly corporate says no more iconic Christmas only snow and auroras.

As a Thresh main, my problem with winterblessed thresh is that i wish he had chains made that are aurora colored more than those strands connected to his scythe and lantern since yknow..... hes the CHAIN WARDEN. But other than that i rlly like it 7/10

As a Winterblessed fan, the first patch is way better, in the second patch half is amazing but the other half is kinda mid (but I love Hwei), anyway, I love so much this skinline, is so elegant, so pretty and so beautiful

While I agree that Camille is old, and therefore should look older, I don't really agree that she's being de-aged. She doesn't look like a grandma, but still reads as a more mature woman to me. In my opinion she shouldn't look too old because 1) it would be really ridiculous to see a wrinkly 90 year old doing backflips around summoner's rift, and 2) if she has the ability to make herself have clearer skin with her cybernetic enhancements, why wouldn't she use it? I feel like someone who values aristocracy and politics as much as she does wouldn't want the appearance of someone excessively old, because that could be seen as weak.

The "text briefly flashing on screen with jokes/commentary" editing is a good thing but can we get more than, like, 5 frames to try to read it?

As a Senna main I think I'll alternate between High Noon and Winterblessed just because some animation are different and it doesn't feel like a discount version legendary skin, like for other champions.

I like the camille ability animations. Was hoping the lucian one would be good but not feeling it. Hecarim as usual looks good in basically any skin, and I dont play him.

I dont think its bad that we got the second batch pf winterblessed only à year after the first one, that seems logical for the new Christmas line, but for the love of everything Riot you dont need to make 10 skins at the same time! Bees always came out by batches of what, 4 maximum and they are fire. Just focus on the quality more than the quantity, that is all I ask
