He teaches a low level of distortion and leaves it up to his students to learn it themselves cause he's not a fan of heavy vocal distortion. Mate this is an unbelievable cover. It actually brought a tear to my eye. The mixing is something Joe would be proud of, the bass, guitars and the drums are tight and lean, all killer no filler, Rob, Phoenix and Brad would be too. Amazing how on point the Shinoda was. Proof that some people just get the differences in vocal inflection and even delivery styles of some rappers. Notably on the hall of fame line; Em went louder and more overt there, where you turned the intensity down as Mike, which is exactly what he'd do there. Only thing I could say is that I honestly thing that Mike would almost laugh during the delivery of "he's too mainstream", but then again, maybe I'm getting that more from his Fort Minor work and he wouldn't go that route while working with Linkin Park.

You know what'd be really good? Kiss From A Rose in the style of a gothic/doom metal band. Type O Negative or Paradise Lost spring to mind. Always wanted to try it but never had the capacity to.

This is dope! Of course given that Linkin Park won the poll for Master of Puppets I do fear that'll be a lot of the same sort of style, but we will get Blue's Traveler sometime between for a break, and I presume Master of Puppets will be more akin to Numb than the rap sort of Linkin Park songs.

@@TenSecondSongs ah I love myself some Linkin Park. I'm just all about the variety too. Really hyped for what may come out next! But on that note, have you already picked out all the songs for that album? I can think of a few good songs that'd both genuinely work and just be funny for that style.
