Hi Rhys (Reece?) loving the content! Super polished. Can’t wait for the higher tier spell rankings 😁
Good video, I really enjoyed it.
I would love to see your muliclass choices for both RP and strength. Loving the content
One important caveat to note about freedom of movement, it only prevents magical effects from paralyzing or restraining you, something like a poison can still paralyze you just fine.
No Sickening Radiance? One of the best AoE spells in the game, especially when combines with another spell like Spike Growth or even better Plant Growth to really limit movement through the area of effect. Not only is it damaging over time, but failed saves inflict levels of exhaustion, which is absolutely brutal. I like the other spells on the list, but Sickening Radiance is massively underrated as a spell imo.
I think you should have put find greater steed higher and I like blight so I would swap out freedom of movement for blight or fire shield ring of free action is just freedom of movement but the duration is just too short for me polymorph a level 8 party member into a Dino/t-Rex broken hence why all my bbeg have antipolymorph charms so they don't turn him into a frog and I think greater invisibility should be number one Edit why I need banishment it's amazing
Paladins gain access to 4th level spells super late, get it as the bard thing and actually have the chance to use it! (Something or other secret? The bard feature for a spell of any class, that one, I think you were allowed to swap it out if need be)
Reasons that some kids claim "spells are OP or broken" is due to and absence of Magic Resistance.
Wall of fire is decent at doing damage but works better as a cover and deterrent for zoning the place. Never underestimate how many spells depend on visibility and how important keeping concentration is.
I would argue for shadow of moil to be on the list. Attacks against you made at disadvantage, attacks against enemies made at advantage
No Banishment?
Polymorph is due to be nerfed 2024...
Sheesh. Homebrewing Resilient Sphere to rank it higher? That's a big ol' oof. Looks like I won't be watching all of the newer videos uploaded within the last 1 year and 8 months.
