Now I know what you're thinking - "Billy S, where is The Last Giant from Dark Souls II?" On any other year, I would have included them in my Top 25. But as he DID kill me in my last playthrough in a very quick, very embarrassing way, I am legally obligated not to include him. That is all, thanks for watching :)

When I replayed Elden Ring recently, it looked like they patched out the unequip/reequip weapons strat for Mimic Tear. It wouldn’t let me equip anything in the arena, so when I went in naked, I had to fist fight him.

It took me a solid 10 minutes in asylum demon before i realized i didnt need to fight him. I knew dark souls was supposed to be hard, so i tried to kill him with the broken sword, thinking thats what i needed to do
There's another way of cheesing the Dragonrider in Heide's Tower of Flame: Once you have a bow with good range and damage (like the Dragonslayer Greatbow, for example) you can stand by the first lever in the area and snipe him from there.
I genuinely think Covetous is easier than Pinwheel for a few reasons 1. Pinwheel can at least be made more difficult if you fight them early. Covetous is locked behind 2 bosses (dragonrider and skeleton lords) both of which are probably more difficult if you exclude dragonrider falling cheese. 2. Even if pinwheel is easy, there are some times where their fireballs will line up and catch you off guard. Doesn't happen a lot but it does happen 3. Covetous has a larger arena, moves around less, can do nothing to stop you from running away and healing, and pathetically easy attacks to dodge. Even if you do get hit, just run away and heal.

Exactly, covetous demon is a Boss that legit is imposible to die against unless you are somehow getting oneshot He doesn't have the capacity to chain two hits in a row, soo you just go back and heal At least pinwell can lineup the fireballs and be fought early At least congregation can lineup their proyectiles and you might struggle a bit if you somehow have bad DPS At least leechmonger can be not a joke if fought early
Iudex being in this list surprises me tbh - if you've never played a FromSoft game before, I think he is a pretty solid challenge for the first boss. He's easyish if you have played these games like myself, but I'm willing to admit I died a couple of times to him on my last playthrough.
@jamesohearn2364
Ай бұрын
Definitely agreed on that - heck, I’d played plenty of FromSoft games before, but he was STILL a hell of a brick wall for me the first time I played Dark Souls 3.
@AlisonxWonderland1
Ай бұрын
Definitely! Particularly if you don't know that rolling in to attacks is a thing in these games. Learnt that the hard way my first time playing when I rolled backwards or to the side each time and I kept getting caught by his reach
Actually the Ceasless cheese makes a lot of sense, what you can't see from the arena is that he's basically above the Centepede Demon's boss arena after making an actual leap of faith. Its not exact, but he's hanging on because he's literally hanging off of a cliff, which is why after hitting him a few times he just dies. Illusionary wall has showcased this, from a different camera angle it becomes abundantly clear why it actually works: he's below a Gwyn knows how many feet fall even for a creature of his size. Heck he even showed where the body would be if it didn't turn into dust or whatever the boss death fade effect is. Also on my NG+ playthrough with my Skill/Bloodtinge build i got bizarre AI from the Witch of Hemwick, it was unusually aggressive with it's AoEs before the second health bar showed up. I still beat it first try iirc, but i could see how that strange AI could get a player killed.
Ceaseless discharge falling makes sense because it is a demon of a baby boy who is the brother of the witches of izalith. Don’t remember who but someone went in the game files and the boss audio was a baby crying. Also explains why it freaks out when you grab the armor set in the arena (believe I saw this in a Zullie the witch video). As someone who enjoys the lore of the games and how fromsoft puts small hints into the bosses I get why everyone cheeses ceaseless. An interesting story doesn’t excuse a boring fight on repeat playthroughs
extremely minor note but i wanted to mention how much i appreciate you titling your videos "fromsoft bosses" rather than "soulsborne bosses" cuz it's always so annoying when channels use soulsborne and then include sekiro. regardless of opinion on sekiro's placement your word choice is much appreciated. sorry for the mostly unrelated comment but i did still want to say thank you! and your video itself is great, ofc; poor yhorm...

I was Thinking, about Making List of the Undead Homes from the Games. Demon's Souls had World 4.1 Dark Souls 1... The Depts Greea, BUT We talk about the Catacombs. And Tomb of the Giants. Elden RIng has Lots of Caracombs and Hero Graves ANd some others. DS 3 Has the Pat for Old Temon King, and Wolnier. The Rest, you can Guess...
Imma just say rn. The divine dragon can one shot you with lightning on ng+. And if you get hit while about to attack with lightning, you fall to the ground and die immediately to lightning damage. Also, you only get one revive. I died to him five times on ng++
Of Ricky is included then there are alot of ER side bosses to include. ER dominated my list if east bosses, even if not counting summons or over leveling.
Soldier of Godrik🙂 Rick, Soldier of God💀
I played only DS3 and Elden Ring, so if I'd pick my top 10 (aside from tutorial bosses, because they are meant to be easy, and gimmick ones because they are goofy), it would be: 10) Pontiff 9) Mogh 8) Midir 7) Morgott 6) Regal Ansestor Spirit 5) Godrick 4) Abyss Watchers 3) Aldrich 2) Oceiros 1) Vordt
The way i forgot solider of godrick was a boss
The only acceptable way to fight Celestial Emissary is to Shaman Bone Blade the boss and watch the others turn on them
Elden ring was my first Souls game.... and yes i died more than once to Soldier of Godrick.....
Wait, how did Folding Screen Monkeys not qualify for the top 25? Easily the easiest boss in Sekiro IMO. Also, I totally agree that Celestial Emissary is easier than Witches. I actually think Main Game Emissary is the easiest boss in BB, but that's considering any Chalice Dungeon boss encountered in a Depth 5 root chalice dungeon, so the boar would be higher in that regard. But that's just me. I've actually died to Pinwheel before since, when low on health, he can spawn, like, 8 clones and they all shoot fire balls at you that if you're not paying attention can decimate your health bar. So, I personally put him a little lower on the list. Love your vids, Billy! ^.^

@@BillySYT Really hate to "uhm acktchually" you Billy but many modders have opened up the code in side by side comparisons recently and have found that this is entirely wrong, the enemy placement in the original is more ganky largely in part due to staggered reactions in Scholar, one such example is Domo3000, who's been specifically doing side by side comparisons in response to complaints and criticisms throughout the years and also after having tracked down the 2014 one on PS3 and now having played both I personally feel Scholar is far better in a lot of ways and that people kinda over-mythologize "vanilla DS2- the better one or at least better for new players coming off DS1"

@@Mr.TamOShanter-em6jm me personally I have always been that magic build liker girl, which DS2 much like Elden Ring and Demons Souls heavily rewards, to add more detail to what I meant by Demon's and ER having a similar feel I mean it in the way that DS2 leans a bit more towards the "RPG" in action RPG as opposed to the "action" part, core of which is how the Agility stat works Agility determines i-frames while rolling at different weight levels, cast speed and the use speed of various items such as estus and weapon buffs(Charcoal Pine Resin and the like) however if you just listen to what the complaints on the Internet say then you'll be mistaken into thinking there's one stat that every build has to level(ADP) but this isn't actually the case, once again DS2 is more RPG and wants you paying close attention to the menus, if you do so you'll see that Attunement will also increase Agility, so magic builds only have two or three stats they need to level up(Int or Fth or both depending on the build, Attunement for slots, extra spell casts and cast, item and dodge speeds all in one and understandably Vigor for HP and Endurance for Stamina) meanwhile for rhe type of build you like(Bonk Bois) you dont need agility at all as long as you balance yourself In this game poise works like an in between of DS1 and the future games, that being that poise damage is regenerated over time with slight burst increases every 3-5 seconds, so if you wear heavy high poise armor then walking actually becomes the better method of avoiding damage then dodging, just attack until your stamina is mostly gone, and then start walking away before the enemy even starts attacking and by the time an enemy's combo is done and your stamina's back, your poise will be too meaning that even if you get attacked by multiple enemies you can poise through most attacks to attack them back- but obviously poise alone can only carry you so far amd thats where armor upgrades and scaling come in, if you look closely in the menus of DS2 youll notice that some armor has stat requirements and scaling in this game, that scaling increases defenses when the armor is levelled up at a blacksmith and when they level the stat, so if you grab some heavy high poise armor with high strength scaling and max it out, you can wind up with hundreds of defense and poise to where you dont need to worry about ADP or Attunement because youre just such a tank- also DS2 is the first game in the series to introduce Manual Attack Aiming which mainly effects strength weapons, essentially meaning that your attacks go where you're looking so that you can pull off skillful maneuvers as long as you know exactly what you want to hit
ive played dks 1 since 2013 and NEVER, EVER fought Ceaseless in any other way than this; pick up the armor set, wait for his arm slam, dodge roll left, walk right, hit him a few times, repeat. 🤪
To probably be the first to make this comment (cough). The Ceaseless cheese does make sense. He’s enraged after the player steals his dead sister‘s stuff and will do anything to get at you, including jumping to his death. Of all the cheese mechanics it’s the best execution for me.
Most noble hardest souls boss
I LOVE COVETOUS DEMON 🗣️🗣️🗣️🙏🔥🔥🔥🙏🙏
Sigh....Pinwheel has killed me on four separate occasions. Okay, I've played through Dark Souls about 20 times at this point, but still, it's embarrassing. There is something about this boss type. To this day, I die more times on a given DS3 run to Crystal Sage than I do to any other boss on DS3 except Midir or Friede. I just finished Demon's Souls (Remake) and the Fool's Idol killed me 6 times while no other boss killed me more than once. I am truly embarrassed, but I just cannot find the Fool's Idol/Pinwheel/Crystal Sage boss type easy :( Deacons of the Deep, on the other hand, I've literally never died to. Same as Prowling Magus or Covetous Demon.

I understand, there are some “easy” bosses in souls games I just cannot beat even after 60+ tries and then I’ll turn around and beat mohg no hit first try. It’s the same with certain songs in rhythm games and such, people are wired to respond to things differently so every boss can be way easier or harder to people in more subjective ways

100% agree that he should be on the list.
I reaaaaaally have to say this because this video is idk... weird. It also just may be that I am retarded, or the video should include bosses out of different games to be more exciting, but half of the tier list must be incorrect. This is my opinion however and my perception is most likely trash as well 😂. Every boss out of Ds2 is far easier than the first ten mentioned bosses. Idk... I just feel half of the bosses can not be in this video. The maneater boar actually has the ability to hit you, King Allant not. I mean he has, but..... Spoiler. The Ancient Wyvern is insane to put on this list du to the run it takes to defeat it. Yhorm is fair. Cleric beast is, or can be really hard. Divine dragon is fair. Vordt is fair. The Decons are not hard but tuff enough not to be here. Gundyr is kind of fair. Moonlight butterfly isn't. The magic can one shot you if low lvl. Old monk... idk Brainsucker is one of the hardest regular enemies because he just has one stupid mechanic. The witches can also kill you like you mentioned. You then can't do anything and die. They can be cheesed though. Overall i don't like to put them here because there is at least something. The mimic ofc can be cheesed but if fought with you own weapons, I think it should not be here. The asylum demon really is fair. Ceaseless Discharge is fair. The celestial emissary can be "hard". Idk the main problem that I have with these bosses is, that the more you have to do, the more "difficult" a boss is. I feel like there are bosses where you have to do nothing. This is why I say this video is bad. Mist noble really should have been included. The twin drago riders are also not fair, but thes are so weak that they are Dragon rider is fair. Covetous demon should be reeeally much higher. Leechmonger is fair. Prowling Magus is fair. Adjudicator is fair. Pinwheel must be higher. I've already talked about this. The man eater boar should mot be here just because it as a real intend to fight you. There are bosses so easy, that you don't even know if they really have the intention of harming you.
Why is solider of godrick on this list? I bought Elden ring and literally cannot get past him I don’t understand why he’s here?
