While many skincare influencers on youtube are talking only about K-beauty these days, I very much appreciate you put focus on J-beauty too! In my personal opinion J-beauty is overall gentler, more effective and reliable (not to mention the spf...). Great review.

You have a Japanese skin care routine brand recommendation for sensitive skin ?
@tojin
2 жыл бұрын
@@Andrew-hr6bu For the start you may want to look into these brands called Curel, Hada Labo or Nameraka Hompo for sensitive skin. Each brand has line suitable for oily & dry skin, whitening line etc.
@Andrew-hr6bu
2 жыл бұрын
@@tojin do you recommend using just one of those brands or mixing different products into my routine from those brands also where is a good place to buy J-beauty in USA
@tojin

@@Andrew-hr6bu For me personally I mix products from different brands in my routine after learning what each product is meant to deliver, so that I can enjoy more benefits to deal with several skin concerns in a single routine. For example within the mentioned 3 brands; 1. Cleansing oil - Hada Labo (the only brand with the typical cleansing oil that works perfectly) 2. 2nd cleanser - Curel (their foaming cleanser is superb in cleansing but at the same time gentle and hydrating) 3. Toner - Hada Labo (this brand really specializes in toner category - many choices that work. I used their gokujyun light toner for multi HA hydration) 4. Serum - Nameraka Hompo (this brand has retinol in their products at a very affordable price. Their signature ingredient Soy is great for nourishing and whitening too, so I like using their product at serum stage) 5. Moisturizer - Curel (this brand use pseudo-ceramide in a very high concentration thus I like using it in moisturizer step to strengthen my skin barrier) 6. SPF - Nameraka Hompo (their sunscreen is lightweight and comes in big tube, so useful considering I apply fair amount of spf on daily basis) ...These are the routine mixing the 3 brands I ever tried before and it was great.
you're our number one source when it comws to japanese products! thank you! ❤️

Haruka Nanase as your pfp 🥺💙 and you watch Tina too? *The taste* But yes agreed! I enjoy just watching Tina chat about anything, she's so sweet and chill 💞
Please try the Matsuyama Hadauru line. It’s based on soy and ceramides, no fragrance, colors, or skin irritants, and you’ll love it if your skin is getting drier or for more mature skin. It’s my holy grail Japanese product line and saved my skin!
Love your insights on Japanese skincare!!! This was fun!!!
More Japanese skincare and makeup videos please. Love you! ❤️
I'm glad I found your channel! I'm leaning towards japanese skincare more than korean nowadays since It's easier to get my hands on. The spf is realible too!!
Yes, I'd love to see a Japanese makeup brand version of this video! I love Japanese makeup, particularly eye products and I'm always interested in discovering new brands I need to try 😊
I love HadaLabo as well. I want to try more when the overseas packaging system goes back to some sort of normality. Thanks for the video Tina❣️
This upload totally made my day!! I actually tried Lululun's cleansing gel last year and was pleasantly surprised (it had some exfoliating enzymes and very few common ingredients too). Would LOVE to see you try Minon and Naturie's gel soon too 👀
Tina you are so helpful! So many new brands to try, thank you!
You've got no idea how much I love you. Never skips ads. Watches it religiously.
I agree with your tier! Love Hadalabo Lotions and Biore sunscreens. Stopped using the Pink Senka Perfect Whip because it was too drying. Tried the Hadalabo Gokujyun Hydrating Wash and I LOVE it!!
I am using the intensive range from curel and I am so happy, my skin too! The hydration level is amazing. I do not have sensitive skin but I really like the fact that it is so calming and gentle on my face.
I bought the cleansing oil on yours and James Welsh recommendation. Looking forward to trying it. Love your channel and your honesty reviews 🙏🤗
Love your vids Tina! ❤️
You’re the reason why I converted to Japanese skincare 💕💕💕 sending love and support from NYC ☺️☺️
You Always have the Best recommendations. I have really Suuuuper Sensitive skin and the Biore Marshmallow cleansing foam is the Best!!! I liked this Video before completely watching it bcuz I know I can Trust your recommendations.
I love Hada Labo the best, followed by Sana Nameraka, the various Shiseido drug store lines and Kose for whitening products, and then Curel and Biore for basic stuff like cleansers. I would like to try Albion and Kanebo but they are hard to get outside Japan. I much prefer J-Beauty to K-Beauty as I've been using it for many years since living in Japan and it works better with my skin, while I've only used K-Beauty for the past year but find the more scientific nature of Japanese products better than the more natural/fermented ingredient route Korean brands tend to take
I know it's probably really simple but i love your makeup in this video! would love a tutorial :)
I love your content ❤ Can you do an update about Sana? I’ve been loving their eye cream and retinol night cream!
Thanks for sharing! And don't apologise about a 'boring list'. I (and many others I'm sure) appreciate an honest sharing of reliable products. Also, any thoughts on the OZIO 5-1 gel series? Especially the OZIO Royal Jelly 5-1 gel? Saw those in some shops and I'm curious.
My favourite youtuber when it comes to J-Beauty! Thank you Tina for your honest opinions (:
Naturie gel!!! Loved it before and have a backup for when the weather turns nasty hot again! 🔥 yet to try the skin conditioner for longer (i always get the 50mL version set so I kinda scrimp so it's only water to my face). Hada labo is always get on my face since 2016, i think. Love ittt too.
Would love a review on higher end Japanese brands. Different Sheisedo brands, SKII, Fancl, DHC, Shu Uemura, Obagi, etc..
the hatomugi skin conditioning gel is amazing!

I'm trying some Curel products now so I'll make sure to make a video on them! 💕
minon is actually so good!! also melano cc series came out with a new emulsion, so maybe check it out!
I recetly tried Curel, it's luckily sold in the UK easily. They have a trial set which is meant so you can test them out for 2 weeks. I loved it, it was the first gel cleanser I've tried so it was odd and I prefer and oil but the foaming cleanser and toner were fantastic. Those two I would definitely buy again on their own!
Hada Labo moisturizer! I haven’t tried the original, which is for everyone, but their 3D gel moisturizer is amazing for someone with oily skin (I know you have dry skin, sorry!) . It’s light, you need like a fingernail sized amount and it’s so good. The sunscreen, girl. Again, I don’t know about dry skin but I can use their sunscreen and I’m on the “it’s been a full day” shiny scale at the end of the day instead of a grease pit. I use it as a makeup primer too. You will probably like the naturie moisturizer because I tried it and it felt like my face was drowning lol.
Hello Tina, Hada Labo and Rohto Hada Labo are my favorites 🤩 the Rohto Hada Labo Koi Gokujyun UV White Gel "All in One" SPF 50+ PA++++ is my holy grail beauty product, it is amazing 💙
The Momopuri lotions are actually worth a try! I used them since Melbourne's got a dryer weather. Please do a review on the full line please :3

Bumping this! I’ve tried a few things from the range and I’m actually loving it for my dry dehydrated skin
I love your make up look here do you by chance have a tutorial on this?
I absolutely in love with Japanese skincare. I don't know why, but Korean skincare didn't work on me and actually made my skin worse. Now I'm mostly using American brands and Japanese brands. Nameraka Honpo series are amazing, my favorite products are their eye cream (it's cheap and the content's a lot) and the lotion. My boss bought it for me and I was shocked, my skin was like a mochi when I woke up in the morning. I also love love love their sheet mask, LuLuLun, Saborino, Keana Nadeshiko, Quality 1st, Transino, Minon, Barrier Repair etc.
Muji oil cleanser is 100% get on my face now. It feels so good on my skin! I discovered an irritation from fermented products so would you consider a video of products that are not fermented? Thank you!
Biore and HL products are truly Get On My Face Right Now worthy. I wish I could use more masks but their environmental impact always drives me away. I will surely be on the lookout for their lotion version.
I personally love j beauty!!!.. not easy to get in Europe but still do my best to get the products here...I love the SANA line....love the soy ingredients...Hada labo, of course, love most of their products!!!!..BIORE, The sunscreens!!!!,if I ever don't like any of their sunscreens, they just go either on my neck or hands, so there's no waist!!!..Muji has nice product too...the oil cleanser!!! The big sunscreen bottle is great for every day ( SPF 50)..SK II..too expensive, sorry...( there are many k beauty dupes 🤭🤭).. you forget Naturi!!?... great review 👏
Hi, Tina. How about Melano CC brigthening lotion and essence? 😊
Such angoss video, would love to see more. I feel for how many jbeauty products you use, there were just a few in this video. Maybe do a quarterly version of this concept for the new products you try. I feel it gives a great overview. Also try make up, like you said and maybe kbeauty.
Oh, oh, oh...also try the Mebika toner and sheet masks! They’re based on various versions of rice products as well as ceramides. Sooo soothing and hydrating... I use it in a spray bottle and spray it on for extra hydration before Hada Labo Premium lotion or wherever my skin is a bit irritated.

Thank you so much for your recommendations! 💕
My go to brands r Naturie, especially the penetration hatomugi lotion, saborino n hadabisei face masks.
please do review the momopuri products!! honestly i love peaches in general and the whole concept of it totally sucked me in. the japanese reviews i've read are like... somewhere in the middle. i know they're very popular but i've only seen like an average of 3 to 4 stars on like review sites and whatnots.
Hatomugi gel is great! Like the skin conditioner too!!!
I dont even know how many Hada Labo stuff i have lol. Affordable,no bs ingredients and most importantly it WORKS so well everytime!
i love the sk-ii essence but its so expensive 😭 i always steal it from my mom lol :’)
Love love love Biore. But I totally know what you mean about it being catered towards teens. It certainly was in the UK. I love their Aqua Rich sunscreen so much, I bought loads of it home from Japan with me cos it was a little bit cheaper than buying online 😂

Also love Hada Labo. I love their lotions but the foaming cleanser is also fantastic. It’s one of the only foaming cleansers I’ve ever tried that really doesn’t dry my face out. And it’s pretty affordable to buy from the U.K.!
TiTi!! Make us Minon and Curel vidéos please :) WE do need yo know your pro advises on those 2! Love from France 🇨🇵
Lol personally I loved this video, in greedy greedy too though, put it all on my faceeeee 😅😂😂 and honestly I’m glad you didn’t trash a lot, you must just have good tastes 🤷🏻♀️😘😘
Can you make an update video of this now that you’ve tried a lot more products now?
I really want to see reviews of 石澤研究所… I tried their sunscreen stick and I found it really good
Hatomugi foam face wash is amazing, you should try it. It's even cheaper than hada labo, but equally moisturizing. I'm taking about liquid, not tube type

Could you please, pretty, pretty please consider doing a vid on mid range non drugstore skin care brands? It is SOOOO hard to find J Beauty vids and even harder to find vids that focus on midrange. its either drugstore brands or insanely expensive brands/products and nothing in between . Like, somewhere around the 25-45 USA dollar range. Also, do you think you can do a monthly Cosme run down? Maybe pick a friday and read off the top skin care products? i know its updated every week but getting a rundown once a month will still kinda keep us in the loop :) I would love to use cosme except , well, i don't speak Japanese, unfortunately lol Thank you for focusing on J Beauty! I really do like your vids!
Half Japanese/Australian girl here. Tonyu Isofurabon/isoflavone all-in-one gel is like my ultimate night cream. You should definitely try again!!

You need to try Eucerin cream that would be a good moisturizer for you
Curel’s Make-up cleansing balm in the tube is sooo good but I can’t remember if that’s American (it’s sold at ULTA) or if it’s also in the Japanese line. Their super moisture cream is nice -very emollient

Interesting that I've heard Curel is German.
you will LOVE SK-II and the skin gel by Naturie! at least, i love them. i use the skin gel in the morning because it's a bit lighter, and i use a heavier mouisterizer at night. [:
Hada labo is one of those things I cannot be without it. I use their lotions everyday and the 7 days I had to go without because my yesstyle order was a little late was horrible lol
Love you Tina.
Hi, can you recommend me a fragrance free sunscreen for very oily and acne prone skin,l? please
okay i need these products now
Could you talk more about less famous Japanese skincare brands ?
Upgrage to kanebo and albion, life changing 👍
I've really liked most of the Curel products. Their lotion/toner is so simple but works great. A Japanese brand that I've been really disappointed by is DHC. I've tried a number of their face and hair products and have thought they're overpriced and not very effective.

I've not tried much of DHC but I really like the powder wash, my bottle lasted me ages and price wise it was much cheaper (for me) than the Wishtrend green tea powder.
Hey there! I'm sorta new to your channel and been loving your content so I was watching through the backlog I guess you could say of videos you have and I noticed what I guess you might call a trend(?) in the chemical exfoliants you've tried so far in that they're all fairly gentle. Even the pixi one is more of an everyday use, less concentrated formula than other things out there and it struck me that that might be why you're not seeing much success with chemical exfoliants(really don't mean to sound patronizing or tell you what to do here, please hear me out): if you don't have sensitive skin, which you don't seem to, you might be trying products that are too gentle to make a difference for you. Physical exfoliants, even the very fine ones, are actually a pretty strong and hardcore way to exfoliate, so it might be a case of going from exfoliating at 55 percent capacity to 15 percent capacity for you if that makes sense, so of course you wouldn't see as big of a difference. Im one of those people who had(and still has) acne that used to be pretty severe(thankfully it's much better now) and I often found that stuff like the cosrx bha power liquid or other kinds of daily exfoliating toners did pretty much nothing to me and I used to swear by this soap and glory wash that had beads in it because it had that lovely immediate effect of making my skin look and feel smooth and radiant that physical exfoliants give, and I later found that I could get the same results with powerful chemical exfoliants as well. Now, I'm not saying to smother your face in acids or anything like that, and I know it sounds quite scary, which is why a lot of people tread lightly in the beginning, but I think that wash-off products are much better than toners for this purpose of getting started when most of the gentle stuff just doesn't give results. Personally, I've had great success with the facetheory clarifying cleanser, it's a creamy type cleanser you put on your skin and leave for a while(like, for me I do it while I brush my teeth, so about 1-2 minutes) you wash it off, and its honestly just as good if not better than the physical exfoliaters I tried. Obviously since it's a cleanser if you feel it's too strong you can just wash it off much quicker, (though it is supposed to tingle, not burn though) and only do it once a week if you want to or something, but if you manage to get your skin used to it enough that you can leave it on for the 2 minutes, it's pretty damn transformative, at least in my experience, and I think your skin can most likely deal with it(it might not even burn from the get-go). Obviously a lot of people will recommend the ordinary's aha bha skin peeling solution for the same kind of use but personally I just didn't have as good results with that one (it made my skin burn quite a lot and honestly I don't feel it made as much of a difference as being able to use the cleanser for two minutes more often did). Anyways, sorry for the long comment, just saw a lot of myself in there and felt like maybe my solution might work for you...? Regardless, I wish you all the best!!
what app did you use?
Yes, please do Japanese make up brands.
Is suisai beauty clear powder wash good?
I like you because you do jbeauty brands which I so fan of since it very affordable and not overpriced. ❤️, azce

I didn't like skII. I felt it dried my skin. It felt like it contained alcohol. Idk if its true. But a lot of Kbeauty products I have bought have alcohol. I dont like how it dries up my face.
Biore watery essence sunscreen has alcohol and fragrance, it gave me some red bumps on my face, so now I only use it on my neck. So sad since its texture is so nice. Only use fragrance free, alcohol free sunscreens on my face now.

It may be good to check the different types of alcohol, not all of them are drying some actually are beneficial, so if you are searching for products, it helps if you can see it on thr ingredient list. Good luck
I reside in Japan, Jbeauty is ingredients savvy not gimmicky or trendy but a bit pricey especially brand essences serum creams & cosmetics compared to Kbeauty
Hi what’s about curèl?
This was an interesting watch. ☺ I don't think that I would have any whole brands in my Donate or Trash categories, either. Individual products, absolutely. I hate sticky moisturizers and there seem to be a lot of them out there. But most brands have a toner or two that more than make up for it. The peach fragrance of Momo Puri is not a favorite of mine, though. All those products are a hard pass. I was gifted an SK-II kit by a dear friend who knew that I was into skincare, but unfortunately the essence failed to impress me. There are plenty of dupes out there now. This one just isn't worth the price tag. Anyway, relatively new sub here. Very much enjoying the content. ❤ Hit me up if you ever need a friendly Internet stranger to send you products from Japan. 😅
