    It's still so unbelievable to me as a fellow long suffering fan. To think what Brad and Dan have done in just 3 years from the quintricia roster is baffling. Year 4 is gonna be really mind blowing because the lions will finally for the 1st time ever hoist the Lombardi. Can't wait!!

    Oh, BTW, backing up those CBs is Amik Robinson and backing up them is a maybe healthy Mosely plus another highly rated rookie Rakestraw. If they can't find some decent CBs out of that, forget it, just blitz everybody and try outscoring them.

    Great point, agree 100%. Coach played TE, coached TE's, and was an assistant HC under Sean Payton. The guy knows more about offense than he is given credit for and when you listen to him break down opposing defenses you realize what a student of the game he is. The whole kneecap biting thing gave the suits in the media a talking point and allowed them to label him as a bit of meathead and I think Coach was happy with that. He likes being the underdog, the guy you don't see coming.

    Brad and Dan seem to know exactly what they want in a player and it’s not all about the physical talent, and I really like that. I have been watching all the OTA interviews of many of the players not one clown in the bunch. Front office makes it’s so easy to root for the team and the players. Another thing I noticed during the draft is how lean the room was, other teams have so many people in the room they can barely mover around. Detroit looked to have maybe 12 ppl including ownership. That tells me they have their homework DONE! they know exactly who they want and arnt scrambling when a player they have on their list gets picked. I’m sure there is disappointment but they just move down the list, or trade up to get that player before he gets picked by another team. So happy that finally we have a real professional team in Detroit that’s run almost as a model for other teams to replicate

    I'm a Lions fan so naturally I know way more about their roster than other teams so I can't say one way or another where they rank. But with that said if we go by PFF rankings they have put out in the offseason they have the best O line, a top 5 WR, top 2 TE, top 5 RB(probably top 3 duo) and top 10 QB. On defense they have a top 5 pass rusher, 2 top 15 interior lineman, 2 top 15 CBs(Davis and Branch) and 2 top 30 safeties in Joseph and Melinfowu. I have no idea how that compares to every other team but I'd imagine there aren't many that can match all of that especially when you factor in most of those players have 2 years or less experience so they very well could get better.

    The back seven on the defense if absolutely going to be better than they have been. Watch Jack Campbell. If he figures out how to cover TE's and RB's on a consistent basis he is going to be a beast this season. Can they get a pass rush without having to blitz? That's the only weakness I see. I love James "The Problem" Houston but he's a bit of a one-trick pony specialist type player and who knows what he'll be after missing last season. Not sold on Davenport and Reader is a run-stuffer. What they need is for a guy like Paschal to step up and Cominsky has to get back to his 2022 form. If he can help McNeil collapse the pocket a bit more they can be okay up front. On offense, no reason they can't be #1 in the league.

  • @joshlewis575

    @joshlewis575

    Reader being so huge frees up Alim to get after the qb more. His presence is gonna free up a lot of people like McNeil, and Campbell and anzo. I think their blitzes up the middle with anzalone or Jack becomes much more deadly too. They're both smart players who can time it up when they see Reader getting doubled up. I think with big ol DJ Campbell being more comfortable and the vastly improved CB's, they could be a top 5 defense too. Gonna be a magical year
