"It doesn't have to make sense, I can just make this whatever I want!" Love your tier/ranking videos, so many folks lean on how an item 'should' be valued rather than how they actually value it, especially within different contexts. Tuff Lite in B, XM-24 in F, on point!

I agree on many of your points. There’s a difference between edc and a great design. Some knives are bought with a purpose in mind, while others are more about how they make you feel when you hold them.

Absolute favorite edc is the microtech utx-70. Tiny tiny otf I can pull out and put back easy. The tiny handle is slim and just feels great in a pocket. The exocet is pretty wide for me and the utx-85 is still probably too big to use in public even if it's legal here.

You absolutely should get another F3NS. I bought mine to be a high end user, and it cuts just as wonderfully as you'd think. I can't imagine a more comfortable useable pocket knife has ever been created. They come up on the secondary pretty regularly for good prices. I kind of wonder if it will be awhile before we see another run of them considering the Carbon Plate situation.

Good breakdown. I am waiting for my altus to arrive as I watch. The only thing I would personally change is that I would downgrade the smock one grade. It's a very fun knife and has a nice grind and blade shape but it's kinda square in the pocket and there is a decent gap between where you're meant to hold it and the back of the edge.

I just got a Rush Deer folding knife with pocket clip, black with neon green on the handle grips, seatbelt cutter, window breaker, black coated stainless steel blade; it is solid, no blade wiggle, but it is a little heavy. It has a 3.47" blade. It can be used for EDC tasks and self-defense situations as well if necessary, I hope I never to have to use it for that purpose though. It would make good for self-defense; three ways to strike, blade slash or tip penetration, the solid grip adds more power to your punch, and the ice breaker on the opposite end for a strike to the temple, sternum, etc. For $20 bucks, I'm impressed. 😊👍

  • @Toad.outside

The lw versions aren’t super mod friendly other than blade finishes and maybe dying the scales, but if you were open to another para3 like the s45vn/g10, the the sky (or your bank account) is the limit.

I really like the para 3 LW but I feel like it's overpriced now, especially for having frn handles without metal liners, while the altus seems underpriced and has g10 handles. How's it going man BrokeBoyTactical here I have a KZread channel as well dedicated to EDC. You inspired me me to get more into the metallurgy and nerdy aspect of knives which inevitably led to me becoming a serious knife enthusiast. And I have to say this is the first time I have ever completely disagreed with you just on one knife. The baby banter has absolutely no business being in the C-Class. Even if fifth pocket carry is not your thing that little guy brings so much to the table for its price and it's super comfortable to carry as a secondary option. Even if you don't like it and it's not your thing I think it at the very least belongs in B class. Solid G10 Construction, solid liner lock, titanium thumb studs, Nitro V Steel and really outstanding ergonomics for its size and not to mention a flush mounted deep carry pocket clip and Civivi's great quality control all of $65! I'll be the first to say I'm a made in America fanboy and I absolutely adore this knife. One of if not imo maybe the most practical and reasonable edc knife for the money. Just my two cents it doesn't mean you're wrong just my opinion love your videos bro

Really enjoy the RGT scales as well. Makes the AD20.5 feel very solid and I really like how RGT scales widened the handle profile.

I've never had an Omega spring break and the only time I hear it is when I listen to you. I know, I know. You talk to tons of people and they say it's a problem. Internet based perception is what matters, not personal experience.

I've had my Cold Steel Recon-1 axis lock for almost 18 years. Carried it daily for 10 of them, and still use it heavily and hard a few times a year. It's never been taken apart. Aside from the detent lash it's always had, it's still flawless action, perfect lockup. It's probably been open and closed a million times. Literally. Axis locks are *very* dependable in my book.
