I heavily disagree with the Obi Wan ranking. I understand the logic, but no chance “hard work” from a D beats ROTS Anakin. Maybe a D when Qui Gon was still training him, but ROTS he was at his max potential (at least a B)

Thing about obiwan is yes at first he wasn't naturally insanely gifted like an anakin, but he did train lots and he did become powerful, especially after the prequel era when he trains with qui gon and grows his connection to and experience and knowledge of the force, there's even footage of George lucas himself speaking about how "powerful alec portrayed obiwan as a character" obiwan is powerful dude, he wasn't always powerful but he became so, you're reading way too much into his midochlorian count and not on his long list of feats and george lucas statements

I think c and B would be fair rankings for Obi. They Both shouldn’t be C, he grew in power so much. Especially by the time Rebels came through and he defeats Maul, we see so unbelievably much progression in that short scene.

Kit Fisto episode from the picture was such a great one. Using the smoke to confuse grievous was smart. He definitely was strong in the force, just didn’t get enough screen time and had no chance against palps

The fight against Palpatine shows us how strong he is, and he is pretty good. Palpatine used a Force Scream to sever the connection to the force for 4 Master Jedi and Kit Fisto recovered first and took to defending Mace Windu so he could get the win. Doesn't matter what Jedi walked into that room, they were dead, Yoda lost a one v one and Mace Windu might have died in a One v One as well.

@@Yesssssssssir17 yes, Yoda had the advantage in the beginning, but most Jedi fights don’t end where they start. A big part of fighting in most instances is being able to maneuver your opponent to a location where you have the advantage and that’s what he did.

So Obi-Wan defeats prime Anakin, Vader, Maul multiple times, Grievous, and he’s that low and below Ahsoka? lol Okay. Never stop your hate for Obi-Wan.

Obi defeating Anakin is due to Anakin's own conflict and Obi Wan's skillset. In terms of raw power, Anakin/Vader outclasses him drastically.

Obi-Wan deserves much higher man. He beat Grievous in a 1v1, Maul in a 1v1 twice, savage & maul in a 2v1, Asajj Ventress a few times, Darth Vader at the peak of his power (ROTS Anakin) 1v1, and Vader again 1v1 if we're including the Kenobi series. I think he has the highest number of on-screen wins against force-wielding opponents in all of Star Wars. He may not be an extremely powerful Force user, but he is one hell of a force to be reckoned with.

You ranked Obi based on his Midi-chlorian count (which was low), so by the same logic and standards, Ani should be S tier, because his Midi-chlorian count is the highest of any lifeform. The standards and reasoning for rankings need to be consistent and precise for every one.

If he was actually ranking according to M- Count alone, Leia, Ben Solo, Luke, and Anakin should all be tied for Number One / S Tier. If we are talking about actual realized power, then it's Luke at number 1, followed by Yoda, Palpatine, and then Anakin. If we are talking about accomplishments/ force feats then I think Obi-Wan actually ranks really high, maybe second to only Luke. Obi- Wan beat Maul twice, and easily. He beat Vader, Grevious, Ventress, and he trained/ guided both Anakin and Luke. Theory's list is chaotic trash. Also LOL at ranking Ahsoka high after a show in which she lost multiple times to a mid-tier Jedi and looked slow, old, and awkward most of the time.

I reckon A New Hope Obi-Wan is A-tier. He *one-shotted* Maul. He was roughly equal with Vader, who was extremely powerful at that stage in the timeline. And there's no way he'd lose to Ahsoka (or Baylan), who you have at A-tier. I think old Obi-Wan is on a similar level to Mace. Maybe a bit shy, but still A-tier.

He did mention this is his list but yeah even Anakin said “he’s as wise as master Yoda and as powerful as master Windu”. Obi is at least B tier if not A tier as well and although we all know the story was for Anakin to turn into Vader. Obi knew he’d die by Vader and in the lamest way possible he basically let himself get killed because that fight was even throughout although Vader was still heavily involved in action vs Obi.

This shows even the more hardcore fans don’t know how to scale Obi wan. Midichlorians aren’t a power level it’s just potential. Ahsoka doesn’t come close to Obi. In the anh novel (approved and overseen by George and canon at the time) they said he was powerful enough to fight sidious

It would be cool if you also ranked each tier within themselves, so that the furthest left indicates the highest within the tier whereas furthest right is the lowest. I think it would give better context for how everyone is ranked

That was Mortis Anakin taming both gods, not Clovis arc Anakin. Also, you can make custom tiers by clicking the gear button on the side. Plus, you should rank within the rank, like farthest to the left is most powerful and it gets weaker as you go to the right. Love these vids, keep up the good work.

Obi Wan is definitely A or B. I mean Anakin never beat him even once, even when he was Vader. Anakin seems to get a lot of favoritism, but he was a jerk who put his own emotions ahead of the good of others. His most powerful state is when he is in state of hate. Obi Wan on the other hand gets very dangerous when he is motivated to protect those whom he loves eg: luke in rebels (vs Maul) or vs Vader in Kenobi (basically handed his bottom to him). I dont think you can base your estimation of his power level just on something Qui Gon Jinn said ages ago. The rest of Obi Wans legacy shows that Qui Gon was wrong.

Am I the only one who remembered that TROS Kylo beat TROS rey on the second death star and nearly killed her until he was distracted by the death of his mother. I know it's a technicality but she was down. The novel confirms he was more powerful during the transport tug of war as well . Also when it comes to Ben solo his fluidity with the lightsaber is much better than it was when he was Kylo. Sort of prequel like so I would put them above all versions of Kylo Ren. That also includes Ben Solo's feats from the rise of Kylo Ren when he collapsed a temple with the force.

I really wish writers just did the sequels justice with the characters they created. I feel like it would have been so cool to see Rey and Kylo actually develop as a characters. I genuinely believe they had a really good foundation, but then built on top of it with literal straws.

At least Kylo got some development in comic books. Rey has no room for development, because her background is described quite precisely in the movies (random npc scavenger) and nobody wants to see what happened to her after RoS, because Disney already managed to make everyone in the fandom despise Rey. Quite frankly I can't even imagine what they could ever do to make people like Rey.

Agreed with fix obi I know according to lore Obi Wan wasn't the most powerful but he made himself powerful enough to beat anakin and Vader in their prime being much younger than him. And he ascended at the end which is at least b or a tier powerful since there's literally only like 5 force ghosts

What people don't understand about the tier list maker in general, is that you can actually MOVE someone behind or ahead of someone in the same tier, and can act as a "line" of that letter. If you moved someone to first in a particular tier, that's like for example, a C+. Last would obviously be a C-. Unless there wasn't a big enough sample size or proportion in that one tier. Simply, just move around within the tier levels.

Agreed, the hate on him is ridicilous. He was the THE opitamy of a Jedi. No one came near him, he became a force ghost in the end too. He went toe to toe with the Jedi killer Grevious, and won. Faced Maul multiple times and won and defeated Anakin/Vader on multiple occasions. Its obvious Midichlorian count does not equal true power when you look at a character like Obi-Wan who had a fairly low M-count and kicked Anakin/Vaders ass multiple times. The so called chosen one.

The disrespect to Obi Wan is unreal. Your midichlorian count doesn’t determine everything, which is why Obi Wan was able to defeat Knightfall Vader, Darth Vader (Kenobi Series), Maul on multiple occasions, Legends General Grevious, and was able to contend with Darth Vader at the height of his powers on the Death Star. The only people who could defeat Obi Wan by the time of Revenge of the Sith were Yoda, Sidious, Mace Whindu, Count Dooku, and a level headed Anakin Skywalker.

Didn't the stunt coordinator say Obi-Wan was at a level 8 in Revenge of the Sith? Could be wrong but wasnt he only a level below Anakin

Ezra at D? I kinda disagree there. Ezra is probably top 15 most powerful Jedi in the galaxy. He was able to open the world between worlds and had a strong connection to the Loth wolves which are one the most powerful forces creatures.

Every Jedi in that list could have opened the WBW. It isnt like that takes skill to do, you just have to find out what you need to do. Also connecting with animals even force sensitive ones like the Loth wolves isnt something so special. Ahsoka did it with that tiger thing in Tales of teh Jedi while being like 1 year old. I personally like Ezra but he isnt that powerful overall.

Ahsoka fought Maul twice and neither time he displayed any clear advantage. She was barely bothered by him in Rebels. Maul peaked and never really grew in power. Ahsoka has only gotten stronger and stronger. That's just objective truth. By the time she's Ahsoka "the white" she'd probably stomp him easily if he were still around.

@@livingweaponnightmare the first time they fought maul was trying to make her his apprentice and was trying to reason with her till the ending of that fight and the second time the same can be said about ahsoka never having a clear advantage narratively i do agree ahsoka the white would beat maul but dawson makes her look unimpressive, theres also her first fight with Elsbeth who wasn’t enhanced by nightsister magic and just had a spear and she still managed to dismantle 1 of ahsoka’s lightsabers which is sad to say the least

This is power level. Even though Anakin didn’t reach his full potential, he was still more powerful than Obi Wan, just because Obi beat Anakin, doesn’t mean that he was more powerful. Anakin was blinded by his power and his own hubris, which gave Obi an advantage.

Putting obi at D is crazy. He beat anakin at his strongest and as darth Vader. He also beat maul. He’s B or even A tier

Theory love these tier videos. Here's an idea, because there are no C+ or C-, order best to worst within the letter grade from left to right. For example, with Qui-Gon and Obi Wan. They're both C tier (because there are no + and -), so you would put Qui-Gon to the left of Obi-Wan. Greatest to least, from left to right.

Luke was still probably S rank. He wasn't featured enough in the sequels, but you have to remember Palpatine basically hid until Luke died. He also beat Snoke in the past, Ahsoka said there's no safer place for Grogu than with Luke, etc.

Power isnt everything. Anakin's lack of wisdom meant that his power led to disastrous outcomes for him. Obi Wan's honourable nature and likeable personality on the other hand make him my favourite Jedi.

I agree with all of your choice except one : Kit Fisto. Mace Windu respected him enough to choose him to arrest Palpatine. The fact that he got killed so fast wasnt a detriment of his talent but that they underestimated Palpatine's power and were also surprised by his sudden attack.

Dude exactly I think if the prequels weelre made today or after the clone wars then there would be a whole lot more characters like kit fisto and plo koon possibly even mace windu who would have survived order 66 because they're fan favourite characters who we were all upset to lose so I think star wars would have given killing those characters off now a better thought and they would still maybe even be alive after order 66

There is a lot of OT war hero characters that were either ignored or killed like they were background extras, by Disney. Heck look what they did to Luke Skywalker! Idk if just count means much anymore, in the new comics Luke said that your count doesn’t mean power, just how easy it is to access it. Obi overpowered Vader with just force, and even in ROTS he matched Anakins force push.

For the next bigger ranking, could you rank each character as to where they would sit versus the other people in their file? So for example - Palpatine, Yoda, Anakin etc So we can get an idea of just how powerful people are?

The Anakin at 13:45 was the Mortis arc Anakin when he was taming the gods

That Clone Wars Anakin is not from the Clovis arc. It's from the Mortis arc when the son and daughter bowed to him. Definitely an S tier.

You just said you wouldn't rank them on their potential and putted obi wan so low because of his potential. He reached the point of anakin without his potential but with hard work. It's confirmed and I'm pretty sure you have said it before - In ROTS they are so equal that they reflect each other's moves. If you base the list on their overall powers and 1v1 situation the list will change. Also rank them in their ranked list, like someone is the most powerful in the A list and so on. That way you don't need the + lists.

I kinda wonder where grievous would be if they didn’t nerf him to the ground. Tell me your thoughts please!

I agree with a fair amount but the Obi wan logic is actually misunderstood he has a very high midi count at 13k it’s just he struggled to connect as a padawan but did to his hard work he was able to achieve a very high power definitely above kanan (sacrifice) and on par with Ahsoka if not slightly above maul in tcw is definitely above qui gon and so is plo ventress and S7 Ahsoka and I’ll also put DD Voss in B

How on earth did Kylo got to B tier? He is D tier, at best. And how is Bariss stronger than Lord Momin, and Savage being more powerful than Kira'k Infilla is just crazy man...

@@sundnido8517 It does when you understand the fact that even when he let Vader kill him, he became a force ghost. As he says to Vader 'I will become more powerful than you can possibly imagine'. Becoming a force ghost cemented his true power as a Jedi, and Vader couldn't defeat Obi-Wan at any level or any duel they had, so, he was at Sidious' level.

​@@uilliam6926Again, that doesn't make sense. The "I'll become more powerful that you'd possibly imagine" is not meant to be taken literraly. Moreover that's a statement during a duel with Vader, Sidious is not even on the table. If that's the only dialogue people use to argue that Lucas said that Obi-Wan was on Sidious level then it's just false because it was never stated. The argument "Vader couldn't beat Obi-Wan in every duel they had" doesn't make sense either. Vader lost to Obi-Wan on Mustafar due to overconfidence, not lack of power or skill. If Obi-Wan was really on Sidious level in ANH, then he should have beaten Vader to continue Luke's training. It would not make sense at all from a story perspective.

Obi Wan was also very smart and tactical, so it he is a dangerous person. Could you add Old Republic next time If this was 2002 clone wars and legends, Grievous would be more of a threat.

I’m pretty sure you can add categories to the list. Even if you can’t, what a lot of people do is just order the characters in the categories, so like the first person in the S tier would be the absolute most powerful

Darth Sidious from ROS was using force storm against hundreds of ships. No way is anything less than S tier. I understand not liking it but objectively he’s S+ tier

Exactly this. Luke of 28 ABY when he was Grandmaster of the NJO was easily the most powerful Jedi ever. Anakin never fully realized his Skywalker potential, but Luke did. Both Lucas Canon and Disney Canon (and Legends Canon) recognize Luke as the most powerful Force User/ Jedi ever. Theory's list is embarrassing

I think the Jedi girl you didn’t know was Kerra Holt an Old Republic Jedi. She has a book and comic series called “Knight Errant” she was around just before Bane. She kills a bunch of random Sith and even goes dark side for a bit. I’d say maybe D tier? Maybe C??
