From the leaked screen shots it seems far into development already! I'm dieing for even a speculation video of when we might see this, do you think Gamescom, some other event, will they not bother with an event at all, will they use a console showcase like a Nintendo or Sony show cases to show the game off?

@@TheLastBaconHey bacon, great video, just a single correction: some specimens of the bootlace worm clock in at about 61 meters (200 feet) when fully extended, making them about 20 feet longer than reapers. Also, if you ever do another one of these, consider taking a look at siphonophores. My personal favorites are Bathtphysa conifera, Praya dubia, and Apolemia uvaria.

Great video! You did miss the opportunity to bring up Siphonophore's though- millions of single-celled organisms forming one large creature. Technically one off the coast of Australia is classified as the world's longest creature, measuring about 120 meters in length. We have some pretty crazy ones that have been filmed in the gulf of Mexico as well- they are usually found on the deeper side. If you go down this rabbit-hole, you should look into the "Black Carpet" story as well- a massive one multiple people have reported moving along the ocean floor. No concrete evidence to support that one's existence yet, but an interesting story nonetheless.

Although not a leviathan class sea creature, the frill shark definitely gives off that feeling of being in subnautica with its alien like appearance due to it being a prehistoric fish. We were able to catch one and observe it for a while before it ultimately passed away due to an error in water temperature if I remember correctly where the water was too warm for it. If the frill shark were bigger and ate people, they would definitely be considered our own reaper leviathan

Octopi and Squid are the Bees and Wasps equivalents of the ocean. Octopi are remarkably intelligent, relatively shy (even around others of their species) and generally won't bother you if you leave them alone. Squid are aggressive, territorial and WILL throw tentacles if they think they can get away with it.
