They are better at defuser defending then claymores because you can place the charge in front of a soft wall and they wouldn't expect a thing

without barbed wire the defense would be forced onto trap operators every round to replace it. It along with the deployable shield is the foundation of every defense and without them the average defense would look a lot different

If Ubi doesn't plan on buffing Jager's ar or gadget, they should give him his deployable shield back. It should give players a reason to pick him over Wamai. He'd be one of the strongest users of the deployable shield too, since he can place his ads' around it to stop any explosives from destroying it.

Give Jäger all the ACOG sights for his rifle, then give him a deployable shield replacing his observation blockers. Bam, Jäger is now a balanced operator. Do not touch him after that.

Barbed is better with Lesion/Clash/Fenrir/Ela type of set-ups but that's about it.

hard breaching charges can come in cluch when your hard breached dies

Claymores can be used as flankwatch too them shooting the claymores gives you an audio cue to get ready for the flank

I would put observation blockers as the worst gadget since breach charges can be useful sometimes, but honestly the two are somewhat interchangeable and idk why people are tripping so hard. Breaching charges are just objectively weak though. The situations where you get a lot of utility out of them, like vertical play, you'd be safer and better off just bringing an operator for the task. I think breaching charges are a great castle counter, but thats about it

Breaching charges are op for rushing windows and instantly repelling through as you breach the window. It’s insanely unexpected and gets you so many free kills

Not in my experience. You can hear the person planting the charge, meaning you can shoot them easily before it goes off. If you're breaching a window, that means you either have to give away your position when checking the other side of the window, or go in blind and very likely die while placing the charge or swinging in. The only time I've found myself wishing I had breach charges was when I ran into castle barricades, but even that's pretty risky since they can still shoot at your feet or throw a nitro cell if they're waiting on the other side. With windows I think it's usually better to melee them or shoot them down from far away, so you're not exposing yourself while you place the charge.

Breaching charges are good for diversion sounds. I use them to open up walls that people will go through but then I flank. Using the loud sound can help you sneak in while breaking a barricade or castle barricade.

Placing a bullet proof cam on top table or place that you can jump onto can be very helpful. You get one whole room and you can still play mute which can help your team.

Frags are terrible now that you can’t cook them

I got a question: if I’m running kaid or bandit or someone else that has c4 or barbed wire, do you think I should always choose barbed wire over c4? I’m just curious to see what you think

If you team already has barbed wire available on a different operator no. But if no one is bringing barbed wire then switching off your nitro cell to bbarbed wire is HUGELY important. Most bombsites only requires one set of barbed wire which is why I say that

Bro proxy don't just give sound ques, the added point is also a digital alert. If you place them in one location, you can know exactly where the enemy is from anywhere. Best for roamers and hunters

I personally would swap smokes and flashes cus for most rushes and plants tend to be better objectively, and smokes tend to synergize better with far more ops than flashes do

maybe im just fuckin dumb cause i dont get how shields are that high because with all these new maps and reworks every bomb room ahs 85 soft walls and 10 different angles on every part of the room so theres nowhere thats actually *safe* to put a shield you either have to huddle up in a corner and get obliterated by grenades flores drones etc etc etc or put them down between multiple angles and just hoping the enemies only come from the 1 you are watching

Seeing this after knowing about the barbed wire buff, now i accept it on 2nd spot

I’m sorry I love this channel but there’s so many things about this list I have to criticize (even tho no one asked: and I mean this with the utmost love for the video) Why would impact nades be so high for defenders when all the they do is open up soft wall for defense when breach charges are dead last and also do that? Gonne 6 shouldn’t be on here obviously Starting off the list saying breach charges are bad because they are worse than operator gadgets sets the tone where every secondary gadget needs to be compared to other gadgets. So hard breach should be lower because they’re worse than thermite, hibana, and ace. Nitro should be lower because they’re not as good as kapkan traps or thorn traps. Flash bangs should be lower cause they’re not as good as ying. Bulletproof cams need to be lower cause they’re not as good as default cams or valk or maestro. Like what’s good about breach charges is you don’t need to pick buck to be able to open up soft wall when you really want to bring a roam clear op (I don’t even know if they have breach charges but you get my point) Otherwise good list lol

Putting a device that only stops rushes and does nothing else at #2 is wild. You have to put proximity alarms at #3 then or barbed wire at #8. Theyre the exact same thing.

I love claymores. I think the longer the round goes on the more useful they are because people stop being so careful. They're really helpful for denying rotations if you open up a smaller hole.

yep i'm surprised too. i use them for vertical play and sometimes wall/utility destruction on operators that dont have any other tools for it, like Thatcher and Nomad. i don't find them so necessary, but they are better than observation blockers and claymores for sure.

You havbe to keep in mind I'm not saying thbreaching charges are useless, I'm just saying that compared to the other options in secondary gadgets they just aren't that useful. Opening walls with them will result in your getting shot through the wall due to the loud audio queue, playing vert is where they can be useful but bringing a sledge or a buck is what you should be bringing for that, and outside of that they are only really useful for opening castle barricades

You get 3 breaching charges, and you can run them on operators that otherwise don’t have soft breach as their main utility but gain the advantage of having soft breaches as a backup without sacrificing an operator’s unique gadget. Breaching charges are also good for sound denial and distracting enemies since they can be remotely detonated from across the map, and vertical play with breaching charges is also very powerful for operators that don’t have soft breaching capabilities. They’re not as useful as most throwable secondary gadgets, but to say that they’re worse than OBSERVATION BLOCKERS is absurd and completely invalidates your credibility as a Siege player. Anyone can have an opinion sure, and people have different play styles in siege. But for you to sit there and claim that breaching charges are the worst secondary gadget in the game, is borderline misinformation. I disagree. Breaching charges are objectively better than observation blockers, middle tier at *LEAST.*
