nighthaven is by far the least justifiably hated map if you ask me, all 3 common bombsites are really fun to attack/defend and there's a good amount of strat variability. you can be impactful on pretty much any op on either side and it's also just a good looking map aesthetically lol but i HATE consulate so take that as you will

yup this list bias asf. whenever maps have defender sided problems you explain but when theme park has runout problems, spawns peak problems and just totally defender sided you instead say “there’s so many ways to play each site”

As someone who values fun (no annoying gameplay, good size, good graphics, variety, low pickrate) over everything else, I can't really agree with a lot here.

TBH thats what I value in this list. It doesn't really have anything to do with competitiveness because I feel like that is impossible to quantify. So I just put maps that I enjoy playing above maps I don't

I’ve only played Lair once, and I had the mindset that this is like a James Bond villain lair, so I thought it was an absolute blast. But my ranked friend absolutely hated it so I think his opinion is the only one that really matters lol.

Labs is just a straight up nightmare imo

I think why Nighthaven gets banned so much still is because it's been banned for so long that a lot of people don't know how to attack or defend it. So, instead of learning it they just resort to banning it in favour of a map they're more comfortable on.

I might be the only person in existence who unironically likes tower. White noise was my best season and I don't know I just always played good on that map. Plus the easter egg was really cool

I kinda felt like since Stadium was just recently in ranked I just enjoy it more in casual. I don't really know why. Favela has always been a favorite casual map of mine though even before the rework

Viable operator bans for each map (besides Dokkaebi and Azami) would be interesting and good for the community, since ranked is pretty stale right now. Same maps with same op bans and same bomb sites in same order, match after match. I liked that you showed some examples of how to defend the "3rd" sites, maybe 3 hour long video on how to attack the bombsites as well with 5 showcased operators, since people struggle on attack so much. Huge respect for all your participation for trying to make "scrub siege" more enjoyable.

Border is easily a top 5 map in this game

Yeah I have very different opinion from most on this but they are just the maps I enjoy. And yeah nighthaven and Theme park are WAY overhated

1. Chalet - Balanced, fun, simple, and strong identity 2. Clubhouse - Balanced but a little boring 3. Villa - Mildly annoying to attack 4. Labs - Basically the ideal competitive map but kinda soulless 5. Consulate - Attacking can be a pain but the variety in bombsites is excellent 6. Oregon - Absurdly defender-sided and super boring but also incredibly simple and easy to learn 7. Skyscraper - Like Oregon but trading simplicity for more nuance and interesting gameplay 8. Border - Also super boring and too easy to attack 9. Bank - Awkward layout but decently balanced 10. Fortress - "hard to make callouts" IS NOT VALID CRITICISM RAHHHHHHH (this is my favorite map) 11. Emerald - Extremely fun with lots of depth but so small it makes defending ultra janky 12. Outback - Runouts ruin this map 13. Kanal - Too small and has a runout problem but somehow it evens out to be relatively balanced 14. Lair - Very poor flow but great visuals and decently balanced 15. Stadium - Another map with a runout problem. The glass also causes all sorts of problems 16. Theme Park - Defence simulator 17. Kafe - Rappel simulator 18. House - They did everything they could to make a map this tiny actually play well but it wasn't enough 19. Favela - Bad flow and too much emphasis on gun skill instead of strategy 20. Coastline - Not a single thought of strategy went into this map it's just a tdm map straight from COD 21. Hereford - Too big with long angles and rat spots that the defenders can abuse for free 22. Yacht - Way too big with no flow at all 23. Tower - Like 60% of the map is completely wasted and serves solely as a playground for roamers since the sites are designed so extending is impossible 24. Plane - Basically all the problems of every other map stacked on top of each other. There isn't a single shooter game out right now where this map would work

The nighthaven top tier map agenda will be pushed

Me and my stack's opinions (feel free to hate) 16: Lair (we don't like how big the map is and we experience shit fps on this map haha plus it's still new so we aren't really familiar with it) 15: Emerald Plains (not a fan of how cancer it is to defend and we also have terrible fps on this map and we sometimes have difficulty seeing people because it feels "overdecorated" [one of my friends would even cancel and swap accounts if we got this map haha]) 14: Kanal (we don't like how linear the map feels and how prone it is to runouts) 13: Outback (not much to say, we're just not a big fan) 12: Theme Park (cancer to attack) 11: Consulate (a decent map but we don't like how it feels quite different from the old consulate which we're used to) 10: Kafe (pretty time consuming to attack and also has a lot of windows) 9: Bank (same with kafe) 8: Skyscraper (we enjoy spawnpeeking and running out on this map and we find attacking it to be doable as long as we start pushing away from the bombsite and brute force through any roamers) 7: Nighthaven Labs (by far the best "new map" by a mile in our opinions, attacking nor defending is too painful for us) 6: Villa (attacking can be stressful sometimes but it's a pretty fun map to play on) 5: Clubhouse (a very standard map, can't go wrong with it) 4: Coastline (very "mickey mouse" and aggressive map which we enjoy) 3: Border (same with coast but it somehow feels more evenly balanced on the attack and defensive side whereas coast feels more attacker sided) 2: Oregon (nothing to say, it's oregon) 1: Chalet (nothing to say, it's chalet)

When i play casual, im not playing with headphones and i never even knew yacht had a lot of ambience haha

@@OK-tb8tmIt's not a Bartlett rework, though it originally was going to be, but ended becoming its own map. Also Emerald's setting is in Ireland, and Bartlett's setting is the U.S.

Kanal has slowly become one of my favorite maps in the game this past season.

My problem with lair is that is seems like ubi put more effort into the outside portion of the map than the inside

I rarely get chalet in ranked and every time I have I have hated it. Coastline is my #1 cuz that’s usually where my closest games are.

For me plane is one of the best maps in the game. It’s a fun change of pace and it’s tight and action packed - would love the chance to play it in ranked some day.

I like almost every map tbh, but I find herford base, favela and lair kinda boring. I think the atmospheres of the first 2 maps and their bomb sites are bad/unfun. And lair is like a maze, I still got no clue which room leads to another. The layout is complicated.

Yeah I would mostly agree. I think Favela is alright in casual, same with hereford, but they definitely arent good outside of that context. The only map I would add to that list is Outback. That map is awful.

I only realy hate one map and that is coastline. I don't like that there is just a hole in the middle of the map which makes it hard to get out of vip or the other side, because there can always be someone on the roof. I also feel like there aren't many ways to attack, because of the hole in the middle you can only realy come from 2 ways inside which are easy to hold for the defense.

kanal is quite literally the most spawn peak able and run out heavy map

Placements i disagree with--- Skyscraper- spawnpeeks are only at certain spots and feel more avoidable than other maps, i feel that because of where the bomb sites are placed, it allows uniqe ways to attack. Border- not fun in stack, but when in a stack i find that spawnpeeking is more managable and fun to coordinate map controll. Kanal- i can't argue for it too much, i just think that its flaws (being defender sided and rounds always taking forever) dont bring it that far down. Villa- its gameplay is so linear, push study or vault wall, next site push study and master bedroom, linear like oregon, but gets tiring faster, i can only give credit to kitchen for being fun and unique. Coastline- W-key simulator, least strategic map thet promotes spawnpeeking running out and sitting on the roof for 30 mins

So many things I'd change about this list. Lair, Favela, Plane, Nighthaven and Emerald Plains are my top 5 worst maps. Chalet and Coastline being top 5 is very agreeable tho

Chalet being #1 is a massive W. Easily my favorite map in the game.

Most ranked maps are good, the frustration comes by the fact that nobody knows how to properly attack/defend.

i know, i know it is your opinion, and i respect it. i have watched dozens of tierlists on youtube about r6, but, undoubtedly, this is the worst, ever. we are probably playing different games on rankeds, because it is absolutely impossible to set kanal and emerald over kafe, border, sky (and i don´t even like sky as well), etc

Tbh I don’t agree with a lot of your choices. The defender sided and spawn peek/runout maps should absolutely be the lowest in the competitive pool. I like border, Oregon, Bank, and Chalet because they have far less spawn peeks and runouts. Compared to theme, sky, coast, con, all have many runouts and spawnpeeks. My main gripes about Lair and EP is that they are too dark inside. This makes them difficult to play as there are too many shadows you have to check. Labs is bad but not terrible, because it has some dark areas but some bad floor layouts (2F). I respect your list, but I feel it was geared more towards bias over consistency.

Change Coastline for Lair and put Kanal as worst Rank map and im fine. The reason Lair can feel repetitive is because ppl still dont truly learn it and dont want to innovate or explore because of that. And with Kanal and coast you just smoked something haha Anyway, great vídeo, I would love to see more ppl giving specific reasons of why one map is good or bad, its a cool discussion

theme park is the most annoying map to attack imo, u can hold so many hard corners and play trade with ur teamates and there is no way attackers get any control

Every map rework after y3-4 is a total disaster

The only map I really don't like is villa, and that's just because I don't like to look of it
