I’ll follow up on it and say: It is the quickest to go to full accuracy. (The circle goes to its smallest the faster out of any of the repeaters) Meaning it’s the most accurate. Which when mixed with its average capacity & cheap price. It’s simply the best on the category. Which explains its popularity. The accuracy alone makes it one of the best guns in the entire game.

Lancaster has a faster rate of fire and better accuracy, also the cross hair bloom shrinks the fastest out of any of them it is a far better gun unless you like throwing bullets away and miss headhsots

Id say another plus to the carbine is that it fully refills the gun when you reload rather than spending half a minute reloading 26 shots (looks at Evans Repeater)

The carbine repeater does have the quickest reload though. It loads all of its bullets in instantly. Not to mention it has decent stats everywhere else except ammo capacity

Yeah, but ammo capacity doesn’t really matter with the Carbine because of the reload. All repeaters have that cooldown period where you’re loading the gun, the carbine doesn’t have that.

I think this guy is actually ranking guns by total stats, and not how useful they are actually. The carbine has lower dps but it’s perfect for horde clearing and accurate enough to get headshots on players. This guy has no idea what he’s talking about

The Evans is sooo much fun to use. Good RoF with high capacity lets you keep the pressure on. Just remember to reload often.

If you actually use the gun and compare it to the Lancaster you can tell it’s alot worse it’s Center time takes like shotgun speed you the time to fire on target is much slower with the Lancaster the only delay with headshots is just the pretty fast cycle.

Litchfield repeater has been a work horse for me, ive been grinding out blood money missions and bounties with the litchfield and the pump shotgun and they’ve been perfect together for long and short range

Honestly best combo to me is dual lemat, Litchfield, pump shotty for PvE. With express rounds the litch kills in one hit most times at decent range.

try the pump with slugs and use em both at a multitude of ranges if youre down for some shotgunning downrange(blowing heads off from afar with slugs is a second favourite past time, right behind defending the litchfield with my life)

I’ll always have a place in my heart for the Carbine Repeater. Also it’s reload is great.

One thing that ppl forget to mention about the ole trashy carbine repeater is that it has an incredibly fast reload! I still don’t ever use it, but still! Quick reloads

fast reloads don't really matter much when you can't hit a target because of the shit bloom when firing faster than 1 round/s.

Litchfield is awesome, you're mistaken.

Man, i always use the 'worst' one, because of the great damage, and overall good stat

I was all about the Lancaster until I realized carbine reloads all 7 bullets in a nice quick fashion

Litchfield is the best repeater in the game according to red dead wiki. U just gotta learn how to use it and after that its fire

If you go the gunshop in Rhodes, approach the side of the building, you’ll see something in the basement. You can then, hold the owner at gunpoint and demand access the basement. There is also a Lancaster rifle you can collect long before you encounter Micah.

It's the best one out of them when it comes to shooting from the hip

I liked the Evans better. It sounded cooler, and the winter variant was badass. It's capacity is great too.

Evans is easily the best repeater.

I use the Evans repeater because if I equipped the variant on both the Evans and Lancaster they the exact same stats except ammo capacity, that's why I use Evans repeater even though the Lancaster is more expensive than Evans is still Superior in my opinion.

They're not bad, you just have to know how to use them

Dude I always have a lancaster repeater and pump action sg on me online and story. Lancaster has a beautiful range, speed and ammo along with great damage and the pump action shotgun just sounds so amazing and badass as well as hitting enemies like a semi truck going 80 miles an hour. Paired with slug rounds the pump action can devastate in any battle because the range the slugs give. And the *ch ch* every time you equip the pump is so crisp and the noise it makes when you shoot it 😩😩

I like the Carbine because it's reload is instantaneous

I run around with a Lancaster, a Bolt Action and 2 Navy Revolvers that I have painted that I now call “Ebony and Ivory”

Litchfield has the highest damage 😂 and you put it below the starter weapon.

Ikr it's actually a really good gun, I just don't use it bc I like to hip fire a lot, and I found the Carbine better at hip fire shots

Lancaster has some amazing accuracy without deadeye so you don't even need the extra damage if you headshot everyone. Litchfield you always need deadshot to be active but I love the THUMP is has makes it feel like a big ass gun. I don't acknowledge the others

Litchfield is great for hoseback. It's more accurate than on foot and is one of the hardest hitting guns in game, only slightly below the bolt action but with more ammo and faster follow up. Slap a scope on it and it's great all around.

finally someone points this out. I've been telling people this but people don't know what the hell they're talking about. That being said, while the RoF on the Litchfield is higher than the bolt action, if you're firing both guns at the ideal RoF where their bloom has shrunk then the bolt fires faster.

The Carbine is really good overall and the Litchfield is really strong if you can use it right. I feel like most people hate on them bc the Litchfield is a bit tricky to use and the Carbine is a starter weapon (which arguably makes it better bc that means you get it for free).

I've played through the rdr2 story two times mainly using the carbine repeater because i actually like it, it's a decent allrounder also due to its fast reload and its (i believe) 7 bullet chamber, and i love the sound

I don't use repeaters at all, they are very weak, my main gun is the Bolt Action Rifle without scope and with Express ammo or High Velocity for pvp/pve. The 2nd gun is the scoped Carcano Rifle for sniping , the 3rd gun is the Pump Shotgun with slug or incendiary ammo for close range combat. Also for close quarter combat i have two Mauser pistols with express or high velocity ammo. ❤

The litchfield is much better imo. It’s damage output is close to the bolt action rifle, and if you put a scope on it you can eliminate it’s shitass range. It’s great on horseback too. The Lancaster is awesome but it feels kinda lame to shoot compared to the other repeaters. Also the evans far exceeds the Lancaster. It’s basically the Lancaster with 26 bullets

I love the Evans' loud noise when shooting

While I agree with the order for the objectively best repeater for combat, I don't think you did the Litchfield or Carbine justice. Those who appreciate the Litchfield like it for it's unique sound and firing pattern, which many consider to be one of the most satisfying to shoot with. And the carbine is remarkable for it's speedy reload, loading 7 bullets with one swift movement.

The bloom with litchfield is the worst , but it has great Damage and ammo capacity ,but all that doesn't matter if you cant hit your target , the Lancaster is just simply better and looks sexier

I always use the Litchfield it’s been the best one for me the other ones not so much

I love the litchfield. Never disappointed me.

I actually rank the carbine repeater above the lancaster, solely for its reload speed, the evans is my number 1 because of the ammo capacity

The lancaster is my main repeater. It has good damage, accuracy, and capacity. Keep in mind that the more it holds the longer it takes to reload in some cases

A lancaster is amazing on mid-long range engagements, and on the clip you showed, you’re using it in shotgun range

The Litchfield has supersonic rounds, which is why it has a unique sound. You can't avoid shots from a Litchfield like you can a Lancaster.

Using an Evans Repeater with dual Lemat Revolvers is a VERY nice feeling.

My favorite is actually the Varmint Rifle, It's pinpoint Accurate and hilarious to shoot at enemies with, watching them Ragdoll all over the place in Agony. Headshots are Instant Kill for any weapon anyway so it's not like Damage is a factor

The Evan's repeater would be the absolute worst if it's reloading characteristics were portrayed realistically.

Could you make more of these? I really like them

The litchfield has 10 more damage and 8 less accuracy thats a decent trade off in my opinion, plus if i dont spray and pray the acciracy isnt horrible

I used the Evans repeater straight through the whole story, never regretted it, ammo capacity means it's super deadly in dead eye

Repeaters are for medium to close range fights. I personally like the Litchfield with express rounds. It stops people while using a miniscule amount of ammo.

I loved the Evans and stuck with it for so long. Id run the Evans for mid range combat, Bolt Action Rifle for stopping power and distance, and then my Mausers or Lemats (sometimes one of each)

Lichfield, my favorite, that sound... and oneshot ordinary opponents in the body is just... mmm

For those who don’t get it, headshots are very predominant in RDO. 80%-90% of NPC kills are going to be headshots and all weapons kill with one shot to the head. As a result, accuracy and aim speed are the most important stats in the game. Damage, ROF, reload speed and magazine speed are much less important.

Im just fine and i usually use a schofield volcanic pistol and carbine repeater.

Carbine has the most damage, evens has the most ammo, lancaster has the best accuracy, Litchfield has a kinda balance.

Varmit rifle: allow me to introduce myself

Litchfield when leveled up is a nasty sniper weapon you can use for close to mid range due to its damage being the highest as well as range imo it looks the most beautiful out of the repeaters

I just like the carbine for that beautiful reload speed, im never stuck without bullets

I personally love the lichtfield purely because it feels so beefy. It feels more powerful than the other repeaters

The litcifield rifle is mostly the work of cowboys who are now masters of this game, you can compare it to cigar smokers. But lancaster is more of a weapon used by people who I can call rookies, that is, people who have reached the level of a hundred. They do not know how to shoot in the head, so they benefit from the high damage stat of lancaster

As a very experienced player in the rdo community this is correct do not listen to anyone who says otherwise

Every time I shot a Lancaster it felt like I was shooting rubber, every time I shot a Litchfield I was dead on with a little worse spread. Litchfield deserves better.
