The nomad palette has similar looking reds and blues to the star wars on camera, like super close. It just goes to show how different things are in real life versus under lighting and stuff for videos.

I hated the ND pastel palette. It doesn't stack up to any of the indie pastels I have and the colors aren't true to pan. So odd how we had totally different experiences with it.

I am a Natasha Denona Eyeshadow Palette collector. I have 36 of her palettes to be exact. The pastel palette ranks #36 in my ranking. I, too, had a different and bad experience with it.

I decluttered all the essence mini pallettes; they lack of pigment and were not long lasting on my eyelids. I can count with one hand the drugstore eyeshadow pallettes I own. Rarely, I found a good one..!🤷‍♀️

I find drugstore palettes to be a waste of time because they don’t last, waste of money because I end up not wanting to use them because it’s a waste of my time and it’s an overall disappointment because I get excited about the color stories only for it to fail me. I prefer spending a few extra $$ knowing the formulas last and have an overall ease upon application.

I’ll tell you something about both Hela and Solmane II: no video or picture can capture the vibrancy on real life. They are just stunning in person, I was really surprised by their depth and vibrancy.

Loved this video! I wish indie brands would do more sleek simple or luxurious packaging. I don’t love the artwork on odens eye palettes for example but the formula is superior. Indie eyeshadow is what brings me joy but I’m still tempted by high end and luxury palettes because of the packaging and I get fomo 🙈

I love indie, but Oden's Eye is the only brand I don't buy from because of their packaging esthetics! It's obviously a me problem, lol.

lol you and the Rare Beauty palette got me 😂 ! I got that very palette and loved the looks I got from it. I didn’t touch the glitter (don’t care for it personally), and the matte purple made me look bruised, but I used the others and loved the looks. Very different formula, and I was a beginner at the time, but I almost repurchased it once mine went bad (smelly!!) after 2 years

that Rare Beauty pallette color story kind of reminds me of the new PML motherships palette 🤔 obviously the quality will be much different, but thr colorstory overall does remind me of that.

Wow this tells you everything you need to know about the beauty industry. To have bought 53 new palettes in 6 months and then admit that your favorite will only be your favorite for a few more weeks because it’s just a shiny new toy right now. Ladies please don’t run out and buy every new palette just because an influencer raves about it. They will have forgotten about it in 3 weeks anyway and then you’ll feel pressured to buy the next one.

@@sanallamogan imo the beauty industry is not comparable to the tech industry in the slightest. I promise you there average people at home who are hooked on these makeup reviews who own 30, 40, 50 eye shadow palettes or more that are collecting dust because they got influenced. Nobody goes out and buys 40 iphones or 40 lap tops. These beauty influencers make their money by convincing people to go out and buy every shiny new release. They make money when you click on their links and purchase the product. I’m not villainizing this particular reviewer but it is a huge problem and people ARE addicted to purchasing this stuff. You’re fooling yourself if you don’t think there are people who DO go out and buy new releases multiple times a month. The effect on peoples wallets and the environment is something I can’t even fathom.

@@amiraking6688 Research the demographics on these videos and beauty industry marketing. The target audience is women and the vast majority of those watching and purchasing these items are women. Women have been historically ingrained to be concerned with their appearance and the beauty industry is capitalizing on it in a big way. Pointing out that very hard fact makes me not gender inclusive? Ok.

You do realize that not every person is buying every single palette influencers recommend? Some of us are thinking about products but aren't sure if they're worth it or not. It's useful to see an actual person try it out and give a review. And ladies aren't the only ones that wear makeup, just so you're aware. Men and non-binary people do too.

I really like that rare beauty palette. I love all the shades but the big glitter one. I haven’t played with it enough (the glitter not the palette lol) but I think you can use it as an eyeliner. I’ve used it like a regular glitter shade and oh boy it was a mess. Maybe I’ll get glitter glue and retry.

I want to try Wayne Goss and Patrick Ta. I've heard amazing things about both eyeshadow formulas. I buy a lot of indie lately, and I'm a colorful queen, but there's something to be said about a beautiful, mature, sexy neutral look.

Ok what I got out of this video was that I must have those huda colorblock palettes. I think I do own a neutral palette somewhere…wait, Natasha Denona’s Biba palette, despite being neutral, is still amazing. Those Clionadh and Adept palettes were really beautiful. And considering how expensive multichromes are the Clionadh is a really good deal
