Bang on rankings. I remember watching that title showdown in 2012, Mourinho and Pep, Ronaldo and Messi, everyone on top form, I think it ended up being 100pts vs 98 pts or something? just unreal, the clasicos and the standard. I remember flicking on a Barca game I think vs Bilbao, and Messi nutmegged the last defender, casually walked around him then chipped the keeper from about 15 yards, and it was *normal*. I didn’t react. Half the players didn’t react. It was just the expected level at that point.

Messi was by miles the best player in the world in 2010. If you think it should go to iniesta or Sneijder, then definitely the ballon d'or is based on team performance and achievements which in my opinion is absolutely nonsense.

Wining big tournament during C19 era should be counted as triple wins🤏 It was much much harder to play while the world was dying 🤏
