That was Sister Friede for me in dark souls 3. I highly recommend DS3 after Elden Ring. It’s probably the most similar gameplay wise and I think the gauntlet of bosses and more linear difficulty and progression is a bit better than Elden Ring. Not saying it’s the better game, I really can’t decide, but something about the bosses in DS3 are a tad simpler yet more challenging to me. Sekiro is my 3rd favorite fromsoft game behind the tied Elden Ring and DS3.

This is the only ranking video that makes 100% sense. If a bosses move set can’t be perfectly dodged up close, then it’s mediocre at best. Godfrey fits that description perfectly, which makes him my favorite fight in the game too.

Fax those are my favorite fights in the souls series, where you don’t have to run at all and just keep dodging then punishing with no downtime, feels like an actual fight. Gael, Fume Knight, Sir Allone, and Artorius being my favorites, ironically all armored guys with swords that people make fun of 😂

If a crucible knight just was reskinned to be a demigod and had more health and a distinct second phase, it would be the best fight in the game. Such good mechanics, reminded me of a sekiro fight just because of the rhythm and responsiveness

@@xpitohui every single boss in this game can be trivialized given you choose to solve their problems in a specific way. They aren't meant to make u learn to parry just because parrying can be used lol, u can reaction roll and jump literally everything they do and get plenty of openings without parrying. My point is just that the move set is great, and given a hypothetical where they are a main boss they would be a great boss, and main bosses function way differently when it comes to parries, so think a little bit abstractly here, maybe they'd be like Godfrey and have a colossal? I just like the move set

My most favorite enemies. These are basically Black Knights with a cool overhaul and even cooler lore. I wished that they just had a proper theme instead of being scattered here and there and even some of them even being spirits. I never got to use parry consistently in DS1 or DS3. But I learnt to parry Elden Ring just to have fun fighting these. It is a shame that lore wise there were only 16 crucible knights ( a detail which was dropped from the final game but still there are 16 including the spirit ashes ones)

the elden beast would easily be S Tier if they just let us ride torrent during the fight

Have to disagree, all of the running during the fight is obviously frustrating. But I think that Elden beast itself is visually uninteresting. I like the internal thing, but I’m not a fan of its slug-fish look. Plus, each of its attacks is just running and magic spam, the rest of the attacks tend to be obnoxiously slow wide swings that leave your camera frame. Also Elden Stars is an automatic F-tier move. I suppose most of these would be fixed with torrent, as Elden Stars wouldn’t be frustrating with Torrent, but it would ruin the balance of most other attacks (like the ring attack)

Elden beast sucks regardless. Its somewhere between the big visual designs they use for dragons (which look amazing) and somewhere towards being a slug. It feels impersonal and utterly uninteresting. It isn't creepy enough a'la bloodborne to be a horrifying reveal and it really tarnishes (hehe) the awesome Radagon fight

This is easily one of the best Elden Ring boss rankings not because of the ranking itself but you just being such a chill dude with every single boss, most rankings people go a little harsh on things but you're so chill about it that I fw you a lot, subscribed!

I think Gideon is worse than Godskin Duo. He is placed between 2 amazing bosses, just spams spells and is either a pushover or extremely annoying.

You know, when you have 41 places and only 4 places in you're already saying "it's okay", it's actually quite the testament to how consistent the boss and enemy quality is in this game. Enemy design is so fucking hard to get right and considering the massive scale of this game and the variety on display compared to other open world games, they fucking nailed it. Personally I would only consider the remembrance bosses to be "main" bosses. I think they found their formula with Sekiro of having a smaller pool of more purposefully designed bosses and then several dozen supporting minibosses that can be used repeatedly, with some of them still being unique anyway, so I'm glad Elden RIng continues that tradition.

If Malenia was made In Miyazakis original vision she would have normal feet instead of prosthetic ones

I dunno but ive always loved Fire Giant. To be fair I always summon Alexander for this fight because I always think its cool for his story so it makes it more enjoyable than just doing it on your own. Just 2 dudes slapping around a giant is always fun. also phase 2 cutscene is great and I love the design in general. great vid tho, subbed!

I think most of these really depends on your build, Maliketh was one of my most hated boss because he was probably the hardest for me, but not in a fun way like Malenia. It was a pure atrocious chore. I can't wait to try him with an other build and wreck his ass properly

I had the same experience, but now I find Maliketh to be pretty fun with builds that aren't super slow. I'm still not a fan of Maliketh's phase 1 fight, but phase 2 is really good and honestly since doing builds with faster weapons and light equipment load, Maliketh has gotten way easier and more fun for me

@@LtCdrXander I think you are right yeah, my then GF bodied him super easy with her DEX build in his second phase but hated the first part, and I had the complete opposite, the first part was a breeze but the second part had me screaming at the screen

Ulcerated Tree Spirit the "how many times do I gotta see this boss before I'm done" kinda boss.

my no. 1 is Placidusax. When he does the nuke attack, I just immediately run behind his tail, wait the attack, remove lock-in and hit his tail multiple times My other favourites: Rykard, Maliketh, Mohg, Rennala

Only things I disagree with in this ranking is Fire Giant and Elden Beast, which I think should both be higher (Especially Elden Beast, he's literally my second favorite fight after Rykard and I don't understand the hate). Other than that, this list was just based. I loved how you mainly focused on the positives for every boss, it's just much more enjoyable not hearing people complain for everything. Great vid!

The constant swimming away with Elden Beast is what's annoying. His moves are fine for me but it's just having to chase him around the whole arena that sucks; I spend more time running around than actually attacking or dodging. Still, I don't think he's bad or awful like some say, I just think he's a bit of a drag sometimes. Elden Beast is a wonderful spectacle and tbh I much prefer the low-intensity, atmospheric final boss compared to having some super hard super intricate final boss. The beautiful arena, music, and Elden Beast's design are all super awesome and make up for the flaws, even if the fight itself is far from my favorite (my favorite is Mohg)

@LtCdrXander See, I sorta agree here, in the sense that yes, the sheer awe and spectacle in the arena, music and attack animations completely make up for his weird shenanigans. However, in my experience, not only does he barely ever run away, when he does, it's mainly to cast projectile attacks on me, so I still get to dodge stuff while going to him. I don't know man, this weak point just seems so incredibly minor to me. Elden Stars are pretty annoying too, but he'll only do it once in a fight. He's got a decent amount of weak points, but I think he's got way too many good ones to compensate, and that's why I love him so much. I never not want to fight him.

I could not agree more on Elden Beast. By far one of my all time favourite bosses in any game ever. Certainly not THE best in terms of mechanics, but everything else about it just makes every fibre of my being awestruck. Hell, even if it involves quite a bit of running, and Elden Stars is indeed rigged and can suck it, all its moves are so satisfying to dodge. One time I think I just ran circles around it and dodged for a good 20 minutes without attacking it, just because I adore it so much. This game's just brimming with bosses I absolutely love, but Elden Beast (and Radagon by extension) are just something else.

Giving Godrick and Morgott 2 full phases would have made them both perfect bosses in my opinion. Margit being the harder fight in Stormveil devalues Godrick's fight and I think a proper 2nd phase would negate this issue. Morgott is one of my favourite fights and it hurts to see so many people blitz through it so giving both fights 2 phases would help people see how great they are.

I love this video. Especially how you were so positive all the time. Except for the godskin duo, you had positive things to say about every boss and all of them were at least C-tier. I definitely don't agree with pretty much anything on this list, but this video is so good and fun that I don't care at all.

The freaking fallingstar beast on Mt. Gelmir made me question my mental health. Out of every single one, Horah Loux was my absolute favorite for the fight itself, followed by Radahn and Maliketh. Melania genuinely felt like total bs. Her fight would've been a masterpiece imo if not for that waterfowl dance. I feel like it's genuinely cheap and unreasonable to figure out. I genuinely thought there was an item I needed to fight her, like Morgott's shackle or whatever that item was for Maliketh.

The only rank I disagree with is rykard being that high other that we got almost the exact same top 6 favorite bosses

I think the dragon kin soldiers are underused, I'd rather have had 2 more of them and either less crucible knights or less godskins

It’s kind of wierd. I’m not very technically skilled at this game, but I found Melania to be very easy, significantly easier than maliketh or fire giant (especially fire giant, fuck that guy). Despite beating her in only about 3 tries, it was still one of my more favorite fights, she is just so cool and has such a cool moveset. She almost feels more like a sekiro boss than an Elden ring one.

Godskin duo doesn’t work as well because both of them are fast and also both have Ranged attacks. O&S worked because one of them was fast and had Longe Range attacks while the other was slow and only had high damaging close melee attacks.

This and their aggro is the main culprit here. I think From Soft did some great duo boss fights the twin crucible knights in Auriza Hero Grave being the absolute best at how the game AI manages aggro. One knight is always aggroed and will keep pushing you but the other one will join in for may be like 5_10 seconds and you are fully concentrated on dodging everything. But then the other one stays in the back and you go back to engaging one knight at a time. Some times if you dodge into close range of other knight then he gets aggroed at the same time but then the other one backs down after a few seconds. This coupled with the fact that I was fully committed to learning parries on both made the fight so much more enjoyable especially when I parried both of them simultaneously. Twin Virgin Adbuctors is another fun duo boss fight and yet another one pretty balanced is misbegotten and crucible knight duo right before Radahan's arena ( that gets locked out if the stars align that is your progress Ranni's questline). But despite all these great duo From Soft pulled out this shit in Godskin duo boss fight. I have reached Farum Azula again trying to get all the bell bearing before DLC drops so I Haven't fought them lately but when I played it on PC and that too before the big patch dropped they seemed impossible. I thought From Soft eas forcing players to use summons for these fights and this is an intentional boss design.

Godskin duo you can make easy with sleep pots or summoning Bernahl or a decent spirit summon, but trying to fight it fair is def one of the worse fights but I think the gargoyles are the worst for melee builds, it has such skinny legs and so hard to hit sometimes and you can only lock on to its chest which is so hard to reach

For me both of them spirit ashes summon boss fights or with NPC. I always summon NPCs wherever applicable. I just got the fire giant with Alexander although he wasn't a big help since Fire giant made me his punching bag but I still loved it. Summoning NPCs makes the game more immersive for me esp for fights like Godskin duo fire giant and Radahan. I also summoned Tragoth as well for Makar.

Elden Beast is a great boss IMO besides Elden Stars, I never found its swimming to be that big of a deal. As for Malenia, Waterfowl sucks when she does it from up close but I really have no issues with her besides that.

As someone who has beat malenia without spells or summons and using dual katanas that were only level 20, I can say that even though it doesn't seem like it at first, Malenia is a completely fair fight. Dodging her waterfall dance can be done consistently even when you're up close. She deserves S tier. And I also recommend fighting morgott under leveled. Once you understand all of his combos and combo extenders he easily becomes one of the most mechanically satisfying boss fights in any video game. If he had more health and did more damage he would easily be S tier. It's a crime that you put rykard in front of morgott imo.

I think my beef with some of these bosses is that i can't know who i can parry and who i can't Like malenia is hard but she's to me at least easier with parry and i am not that good but it's more fun with parrying and easier Before parrying i was doging keeping my distance with the parry i was dancing with her it was fun I wish for a better way to tell the diffrence between who i can parry and who i can't in Shadow of The Erdtree

Mohg is my favorite boss in the game. Learning his moves was so satisfying for me, the only boss besides Malenia that I had the patience to learn the whole boss moveset. He's really good, but I will say he's probably not for everyone.

i dont agree with Rykard, as magnificent as his arena is and the boss design itself, i found him so easy to beat, in fact the real problem and hard times i found in Rykard is, i have to fight the godskin noble before him heh, so much so that now my build is based in the blasphemous blade, thats how easy i can get through it compared to other paths. so no way it is 3. on a similar note, i disagree with Mohg, he should be number 1, is freaking HARD AF! good thing he was optional, and i say was because as you know, he along Radahn is now a requirement to enter the DLC. there is gonna be plenty of suffering because of this AND I LOVE ALL OF IT!

You know what is truly F-Tier? Having to go through a menu to revive Torrent, with the default option being "No". This haunts me at night 😩
