If you didn’t notice for the spike boss, on top of more branches being shown at the mid way point, the lava also rises a bit meaning the player has less time to select what they want to attack.

It's so nice to see more positive videos on Mario Party 9. Painfully overhated game. I guarantee you that if it stuck to the original formula, people would inevitably call the series stale and repetitive. _I guarantee you._

I never even minded the hate MP9 got, n'or the car mechanic, since it was the frist Mario Party game I ever played. It even makes boss minigames my favorite minigame category. Boss minigames should absolutely return!

It does look like Mario party jamboree will have at least one boss fight (Bowser) with a whole mode dedicated to the fight!

Love to see more Mario Party 9 praise. While many do hate the game, it still manages to stand on top for me as my favorite in the series. Even remember making a tierlist for all the mini games some time ago, though, as said, it was some time ago, so, yeah. Do remember putting Sock it to Lakitu at the very top, though, so let's gooo. Good ranking btw, have some disagreements, of course, but still.

I loved mario party 9 so much, I really dont think its hated as much as people think it is, this game was amazing, the Pandemodium song was my favorite out of all the music tracks :)

The music alone on the bowser jr mingame always made it such a top tier minigame

MP9 didn't ruin the franchise, it was MP10, and super Mario party didn't saved it, its far worse than MP9

Mario Party Advance ALMOST killed the franchise, but MP9 did really feel like a step-down in quality of MP8, and then every Mario Party game after it was somehow worse.

Mario party 9 and 10 are my childhood games so I love when people say they love them even if they are some of the most hated Mario part games among all of the current games that have been released. Thanks for saying you love my childhood game. (my favorite boss is dry bones because memorizing the cards is fun for me)

Mario Party 9 may not be the best, but it was my first Mario Party game and it holds a special place in my heart. It has good mini games for the most part as well.

I have some great memories with MP9, because my best friend at the time was not a gamer at all, but she loved to play this game with me. I have not touched the games in years, but seeing this video made me realize how much I looooved the bosses. They were great additions.

Yeah! It seems like there will be at least 1 battle (Bowser) in jamboree…will make a video on it!

Even though the Party Mode sucks in Mario Party 9 the Boss Battles and Minigames will have a special place in my heart and also Mario Party DS is the Original Mario Party to have Boss Battles so maybe you could do a video ranking them too.

Another thing aboit Spike's halfway point, he'll also rise the lava giving you less time to react.

This was one of the first games I ever saw gameplay of on KZread, so I have immense amounts of nostalgia for this game and seeing someone talk about it without sh*ting on it has made my day better, thanks man

one thing you forgot to mention is how the boss battle themes are ABSOLUTE BANGERS especially the mid boss second phase theme

0:38 Chain Chomp Romp: Fun mind game but annoying if the other players are faster 1:17 Bombard Big Bob-omb: You can’t tell what the other players are going to do the chance is big you and an opponent pick the same Bob-omb 1:59 Whomp Stomp: You can earn points easily but if you are the target you can have big disadvantages but it stays fun after all 2:48 Spike Strike: It is about being fast but the game becomes challenging after the outrage and that makes it fun 3:26 Deck Dry Bones: Sometimes it gets to challenging and makes your winning chances almost impossible 4:08 Wiggler Bounce: Very easy which is fun but it lacks a challenge 4:39 Cheep Cheep Shot: Kinda fun but your shells always get stolen 5:11 Blooper Barrage: I can’t handle its multi-tasking and hitting Blooper is nearly impossible 5:48 Bowser’s Block Battle: Kinda Boring especially for the final boss 6:48 King Boo’s Puzzle Attack: As a Puzzeler I really like this boss and the lightning effect is very cool 7:35 Sock it to Lakitu: I like it because that is in my opinion how a challenge works 8:09 Bowser Jr Breakdown: Pretty cool but it also can be annoying 1. Yeah! All the content for this game is negative! I really wanted to spread more positivity specifically towards this game

I mean, I enjoy Spike and Chain Chomp a lot, not because the boss battles are fun, but when you are playing with 4 players it's so fun trying to be the one to get the gold hammer or gold cannon

I agree bosses need to stay just have one halfway through a game and one at the end

I like The Bowser Jr bossfight and Mario Party 9 is my most favorite Mario Party Game of all time!

I haven’t played Mario party 9 in years, and I still think it’s a really good game, I thought it was underrated, but I didn’t know it was said to be the worst, and I learned that from this video, I’d probably need to get back to the game for a better opinion on the bosses

Being a fellow lover of Mario Part y 9, I absolutely love the boss battle minigames! They really set up the tension between players and make their experience feel like and epic adventure, even if it came at the cost of the traditional party experience we all know and love from classic Mario Party. If these minigames were to return, I want them to be halfway and final minigames. Example: Mario Party with 20 turns, at turn 10, instead of a normal minigame, a boss roulette will appear, with boss minigames on them, and then the rest plays as usual. This will happen again in the final turn, but battle/duel minigame spaces can feature a boss minigame at random chances. Just an idea I have. If Jamboree were to have this mechanic, I would be overjoyed! But I don't think it'll happen. Still, with SMPJ releasing soon, I can imagine a brighter future for Mario Parties while implementing the greatest mechanics from previous, more controversial ones.

@@ShyGuyKart Looking at that Boss Bowser, it seems to be a clone Kamek made (notice the purple around him) so we wouldn't confuse both Bowsers. Maybe this is a sign for Boss Battles returning?

0:14 Nah 10 is more hated from what I've seen. Also DS had boss fights before this one, they were just Story Mode exclusive.

They could bring them back like in mario party ds (as a history mode) or that the final game is vs a boss and the reward is a Star or something like that

Hard disagree on the Bowser Jr. battle. The music may be good but its all luck at the exactly right time. I often never get the chance to attack at all. Also i love the Womp battle if you play it with friends its basically all psycholigy do you think they are willing to take risk? This depends on the position they are currently standing at. Its honestly just a better Bowser Jr fight. Btw i suck at candy crush so I dislike the King Boo battle (also its King Boo, why tf are we playing candy crush?)
