We need to have this one revisited. McDonald’s has upped their game a lot with the chicken sandwich. And Popeyes is in the game now. A lot of places doing the foil pouch delivery system like Chick-fil-A.

@@leaf2180 Wasn’t really out of spite, ,Popeyes just released the chicken sandwich, and the biggest mistake Chick fil A made was getting salty about it. Because they got salty, the chicken sandwich wars started, and chicken sandwiches got more purchases than ever before. McDonalds, Burger king, Churches, and even Wendy’s had fairly weak chicken sandwiches, and they had to cash in on that chicken sandwich moolah

@@mrepicdood9953 Chick-Fil-A didn't get salty. There was a whole thing going around where everyone was trying to get Chick-Fil-A shut down. That's when the chicken sandwich war started. And Burger King actually brought in their chicken sandwich on gay pride month and donated the money from the sandwich to LGBT charities, that's spite. Pretty sad how far the "woke" people will go to ruin your life because you have an opinion different to theirs.

The price for McDonald's southern style buttermilk chicken sandwich is actually closer to the price of chic fil as chicken sandwich. Granted, I still like the chic fil a one better but that's just me.

I wish this was made after Popeyes released their chicken sandwich. It blows all these other sandwiches out of the water! No comparison. Best chicken sandwich EVER! I need to see Matt eat one.

Chick-fil-A has always been my favorite chicken sandwich. Why is there only two chicken restaurants on this list and the rest all just fast food? Why don't Bojangles or KFC, or any of the others?

Well he did say fast food chicken sandwiches not specifically chicken restaurants. My question is why did he get the McChicken and the original chicken sandwiches instead of the buttermilk chicken sandwich and the tendercrisp chicken sandwich which are more comparable to Zaxby's and CFA, though I do think bojangles and kfc would be better stand ins for hardee's and Arby's since then almost all of the chicken would be full pieces instead of processed breaded patties.

Bojangles and Popeye's are both good. Both have a bit too high a breading-to-chicken ratio to beat Chick-Fil-A, but tasty. I've never been big on Zaxby's personally, it's good but I wouldn't call it the best.

There isn’t any Zaxby’s near me but whenever I’m down south I make sure to stop by and have their chicken sandwich

I've been traveling for work for years. I always try the food in the area I am working and found Zaxbys in one of my trips to the south. Now my family seeks out Zaxbys every where we travel to. The buttered grilled buns and their chicken is sooo good. Glad to see they ranked #1 on your list.

The Burger King chicken is the “Han Solo” option - you can hide in it during a snowstorm. Just remember, you thought it smelled bad on the outside.

So true! My husband and I disagree over which is better. I like Chic-fil-a and he likes Zaxby's. I've never had dry Chic-fil-a, and I've had it all up and down the east coast. But I've only had Zaxby's here in Virginia, and it was not that great. It was dry, too salty, and the sauce was just meh. My husband had it in Florida first, though, so I wonder if there is a difference regionally.

Chick-Fil-A does have a really great basic sandwich...it's usually my go-to though their basic chicken salad sandwich is really good, too. I tend to alternate between the two, and when I was a kid the chicken salad sandwich was my A#1. When I got my tonsils out and could only have ice cream for awhile, the next real meal I dreamed of was a Chick-Fil-A Chicken Salad Sandwich...and I was one happy kid when I finally got to have my next one post-op.

Wendy’s spicy chicken sandwich will ruin your outlook on other “chicken” sandwiches REAL quick. I had 4 of Popeyes’ shingles of disappointment trying to figure out what all the hype was about. I finally concluded those people had never talked to Wendy about chicken.

I remember when Hardee's not only sold fried chicken, it was noted for doing so.

Definitely need a revisit on this one. The McChicken you used from McD's is not in the same category as the other chicken sandwiches - it's the cheap sandwich they have. McD's has a Chick-Fil-A knock-off with pickles, and that should be the competitor here. Burger king - same thing. I'm not saying they're gonna win, or even improve in their rank, but those should be the contenders here. Also, big miss with no Popeye's sandwich, no Bojangles sandwich, and no KFC sandwich. Sonic? Wendy's? Hell, even DQ....So many potential contenders here.

I finally ate a Popeye's sandwich and it was not good, I would never order one again.
