YES! I love Evangelion and Mecha animes in general. Also I think that they have left a legacy on anime styles and character design, I don't know when but for sure I'm going to.

Trigun is a hell of an manga, definitely got some interesting stuff. And taking a look at Domon Kasshu, makes me remember when I used to watch Mazinger Z as a kid, good times man... Domon has a very cool hairstyle btw.
