Danessa Myricks has done what we all wish Pat McGrath would do instead of churning out pink palettes

I really enjoy the Natasha Denona ‘I need a nude palette’. You have to enjoy topper shades to truly appreciate the beauty of the palette. I have heard people compare it to Colourpop Going Coconuts. They will say that you can get the same look. They even claim to like it better because they are not utilizing the toppers. Also, if you are looking for a heavy shimmer then this is not your palette, think Give me Glow. This is a softer everyday palette.

Doll10 is a good old qvc stalwart. They make nice cream blushes and highlights but i haven't tried anything else. Ive a mascara in backup but its not been opened yet 😊❤

Yes please do looks with the PML Venusian Sunrise Quad. I wear it and love it but have only touched my Sunlit Seduction once.

You could use the Danessa Myricks with your Isamaya palettes! Best of both worlds!

100% agree with your top 3. Those palettes have brought me so much joy the last few months. Isamaya's palette continues to take my breath away though.

The thing that I resent dm as a high-end brand is that all of their products are made in China. The packaging of my Groundworks palette smells intensely of plastic. Like really cheap packaging you would find at the lowest grade products. Also two of the shades have a fuzzy cristallized film over them that some KZreadrs have mistaken for sparkle. It gives me the ick and there are also no guarantees or transparency to how the workers there are treated. Same as for Oden's Eye that markets itself as Swedish but manufactures in China.

Yes! Please please do a look with Venusian Sunrise! I have it, I love it. The lighter matte in there has become one of my faves. I would love to see a look you create with this. I think lots more people would buy this if they saw a really great review tutorial… cuz so many influencers passed on this one not realizing how really good it is.

I think what particular makes the newest PMG Mothership a hard sell is that there truly are no longer "the special shades" that used to be the trademark feature of her big palettes and waranted the price tag. If I want a special shade I will now get it with less money from and indie brand or if I want a high-end palette than I will go for Huda and ND palette and I will still pay less.

@@MartinaLily true and I think ND is a good example that you can for example be a mainstream (sephora) friendly high-end brand and still do also more artistic colour stories with palettes.

I agree those special shades carried the rest of the mothership imo. The matte shades were never anything particularly wow for me

Thanks for all of the work you do for us to enjoy this great makeup :) I am a PMG lover, but I agree with you on XI, I skipped it. Too expensive for repetitive shades of lesser quality when compared to her previous Motherships. I can't wait for the end of year review!!!

It affirms my decision not to buy it. Because you’re so right, a lot of times when you get them in person they are more amazing than you thought, so I’ve wondered if I made a mistake. Now I absolutely know I’m not getting it even at steep discount. I would still love to see your Pat bronze quad video. I don’t have this quad yet, and I’ve wondered if I should get it for that metallic shade on sale. I adore the ND Mini Starlet. Something about the shades just work for my complexion. I have worn it so much. That sparkly shadow is perfection. Then when INAN came out. 🤯I’ve literally worn one or the other every day-sometimes with a dark matte from Nomad Hudson Valley in my outer V to warm it up and add a splash of fall colors. 😮😮😮😮😮😱😱😱😱😱I was so certain your number 2 was definitely your top lick before we started. 😂 It’s on my holiday list. I’m impressed with myself I’ve lasted and not just purchased it. I keep thinking how excited I’ll be to open it as a gift!

I 1000% agree with your number 1, but I’m also a pale pale girly who loves a nude with sparkles ❤ I so appreciate all of your reasoning and the work that goes behind your rankings. And I love the good mix of indie, mid price, and luxury brands included in your review ❤ Totally not a surprise about PMG. It seems like a color story I should like, but like everyone else I wasn’t wowed by it and then add in the negative reviews… just not there this year.

Definitely feeling what you're saying about the Motherships. I have 1-10 and have zero desire to pick this one up even on sale. I was disappointed with the reveal initially, and then how her team handled that feedback. As a colorful makeup lover, I love that you tried Blend Bunny! If you like the color story, you'll LOVE the Dollhouse palette. I feel the way you feel about ND's I need a nude about the Dollhouse palette.

This pmgl palette looked like the first coherent one

Oh! That doll squad palette is supposed to be amazing! It’s a talc free formula. Honestly I have never tried it either but I’ve heard absolute rave things about it but it’s expensive and I own too much eyeshadow so I keep passing on it but if I got it super cheap or free I would be excited.

Odens eye never makes me excited I pass on it all the time. Everyone raves about that one and I could careless about any of them. I don’t know why I hate the layout of the palette and I hate the packaging. I always get sucked into the hype on makeup but not odens eye.

Same here, I find their package art too overwhelming and the color stories too chaotic. I’m also annoyed that when they release something, everyone and their grandmother has a video on KZread, I feel like their marketing is also too overwhelming and I end up not watching any of these videos

I can appreciate that. It actually took me a long time to purchase from the brand too because of the same reason. I think cos their color stories are more colorful and I love a basic palette haha I first bought the Lauren Mae collab and it was so stunning and then the Stone and Rock etc palettes and I've been completely hooked ever since haha But I can truly see how the brand is not for everyone 💗💗

You need to play with more blend bunny! Like the Forget me not palette, the new pastel palette that's going to be coming out, etc.

The cle de peau sea grass quad looks like a dupe for a clarins quad, fyi for your viewers.

Great video! Im surprised that Isamaya wasn't no. 1!! I know how much you love it! Personally, I can't stand the I Need a Nude palette form ND! Like Beauty and the Frizz says, I Need a Snooze 🤣🤣🤣 but honestly, it's beautiful, but in my skintone i had to work so hard to build up the shades. Im light to light medium and they dnt work for me and those shimmers, aside from Muse, they literally wore off to nothing after an hour. And i used a glitter glue. I was just so underwhelmed and disappointed and thought the way you thought of the Pat Mcgrath. I literally collect every ND palette and this so far has been my least favorite. For now I use it as a companion plaette to blend out shades from other palettes. I guess I thought when I saw it in person, it was gna wow me. But im sure on your much fairer skintone it works perfect for you.❤❤❤ im not surprised PM Sunlit Seductiin ranked so low. I felt the same when i got it. But i was actaully surprised on how pretty all my looks turned out and they were not all pink either. It perfermed really well but not as exciteing as her previous releases and very redundant in color story as her 6 pan, quads, and previos motherships. I still have yet to try Chanel or Cle De Peau. And the Prada I'm dying to try!! Ive heard so many good things about those little quads! I should be doing a few looks this week with my Glaminatrix palette too and im excited to try it! BTW, your eyelook is stunning!!! I love it!!!😍😍😍

@MartinaLily I know which is not the norm! 🤣 Pat McGrath was underwhelming. Not my favorite but still performed well. For a first time user of PM I can see it being great. But since we own everything, it's just meh. I hope her special shades in the next one are better tho! 🙏

Loved this ranking video! I love how honest you are ❤. Pat Mcgrath has recently started to stoop a little for me .... I have successfully skipped on most of her newer collections... and frankly I am not so excited about picking any of her holiday collection even on sale as it's so so repetitive. Where I live pat has increased prices a lot and getting them is just not worth it! Are you going to try Rabanne palettes? Or maybe you did and I missed it.

I'm so glad to hear someone else's review of the Doll 10 eyeshadow. There's one influencer that I love that swears they are the best matte formula that exists. Somehow I just knew that was not the popular opinion of their formula, or more ppl would be raving about them.

@wentingli1597 yes, I was referring to Jen. I usually love her channel, and find her to be really upfront/honest. I know she doesn't love ND, and I do like yourself as well. I'm thinking we may just have different eyeshadow preferences than she does. Either way, these Doll 10 palettes are way too expensive to test out that theory for me 🤣

I was going to buy 2 Odens eye palettes but the pricks dont accept Discover. So I bought ND palette

I love your videos, and appreciate different views on palettes. I have all Pat’s motherships and enjoyed this last one (I did get 30% off of it!). It’s easy to use and everyday friendly. I don’t get why people get so upset with Pat, but don’t mind ND or Charlotte Tilbury having so many repetitive palettes 🤷‍♀️ I have Metropolis from ND, and didn’t buy Bronze because many colors are the same. I don’t mind it. Don’t get people being eternally mad at Pat

Thanks lovely! I think for me, it's because Pat has been my fav brand for years now and ND and CT weren't so I've only focused on her releases and what I've come to look forward to with them. I don't actually buy much CT because of the same thing, it's always a similar color story so I've never really gotten in to her brand that much. I don't personally find ND's palettes to be all that similar but I think the biggest difference is that when she releases her palettes the color stories are quite different in succession. There may be similar shades in other palettes but they are quite a different vibe and story but also are released at very different times (from what I know) but with Pat I was used to these amazing color stories and formulas but it has felt, this year especially, all her color stories are very repetitive. Of course, that's just my opinion 💗💗💗
