I swear its a running thing that content creators are colouring every last part of a game to be negative. Been trying to watch Apex Legends and its so Sad, they play a game to exhaustion so its like listening to a depressed looser, theyre really a total oposit of having any valued opinion of a prudish person. They are like a 8 year kid not being able to see anything other than their selfish needs. Thats especially true for cod, makes absolutely No sense why massive high budget projects that were made by experts were not aprecciated, but it says more about what players are completely lacking

Same thing with zombies they removed the story line gave us this lackluster shitty story line with no 4 main guys to play as. The maps were shit. While I did disagree with quite a few of your spots, I have major respect for you giving IW zombies (and some other non-treyarch maps) the respect they deserve! Too many people shit on those modes as a whole for not being made by Treyarch

@@jimmydemarco9514 IW is definitely something fresh that will be remembered. they didnt try to go for a serious and creepy mode à la Treyarch and it makes it soooo unique. so many good ideas, esthethically or in terms of game design (giving back a perk !!! omg !!!!) the director's cut was such a good idea, makes it really fun to reboot the game casually from time to time

I loved the fact that you rated Spaceland so highly. As someone born in the 80s and a huge fan of David Hasselhoff, I rate it as my number one.

I only really have played IW in terms of Zombies and even after watching this I think Spaceland is by far the best map. Not because of the Easter egg which is still fun but because of how clean the map is. Everything is nicely set up and it doesn't feel like you need to go into tight spaces unless you are facing a massive horde

bruh tag is not a bad map, I adore how they made cotd look so beautifull with the sunset, cotd is ofc classic an I know that wonder weapons on tag are tragic but I think that challenges for hermit, little tasks, turning on power in each segment (ship, lighthouse, facility) and ziplines even tho they were bugged at launch are great mechanic that work practically like teleports but you have hbeautifull view of the map instead of the spinning void. I just love this map and it rlly hitted me when I saw it right after vanguard. like how are all extinction maps better than tag and classified, I dont get why people hate those two remasters (3 along with blood otd), like yes bo4 launch was rlly laggy and bad and lot of people wanted new maps, so thgey were mad that they got 4 remakes (cotd, 5, motd and nuketown), dont get me wrong I dont like alpha omega and I never played blood but tag and classified are just beautifull...

Best ranking of Zombie maps I’ve seen. Shows appreciation to all Zombie maps not just black ops. Larger Zombie youtubers don’t appreciate other Zombie games so neither does their fans, I’m glad Sam does and showcases how good they are in his vids. Also he ranked shadows first which is my favourite map so ye the best list I’ve seen.

I appreciate a list made subjectively in your opinion rather than unbiased facts and statistics because as a viewer of your content I like knowing what you would consider good and bad qualities for zombies maps. It helps me understand your other videos and Chanel more personally.

Infinite Warfare will forever be a grandiose memory of mine. It really was something else, goofy AND ballsy. So many good game design ideas. Treyarch made zombies what it is, but Infiny Ward tried and gave us Extinction and IW Zombies and I absolutely loved it

ZNS at number 5 is a straight W. One of the best maps of all time.

I love that ghosts is finally getting recognized as a good game, I bought it on sale on the xbox 360 and loved everything about it (except lmg thermal vision campers on multiplayer) the extinction gamemode was really good I really didn't understand why the game had so much hate back then

@@Meatychance yes and no, multiplayer maps were very bad comparing to all the prior MPs (at least in my opinion), perk system and streaks also didn't hit the sweet spot they used to... from ghosts on i think MP devs just lost their touch specially with maps. But yeah, extinction has always been great for me.

And that is why that has to be my favorite ranking of zombies maps ever, lmao. You can see he simply loves the gamemode as whole, is able to enjoy almost everything for the different experiences they offer, and has played most things to a degree that he is able to form his own really unique and honest opinion.

It's not just you putting the nostalgia aside that makes this list amazing for me, it's how you just don't care what community in a consensus consider what's good and not good. Makes the whole list based and authentic and something i can take from trying out some maps I would never usually try.. like outbreak for instance or some extinction maps you rate so highly for example that others only point the negatives of so a lot of people never give them a go. Thank you for this

Great video! I'm glad to see IW zombies getting the appreciation it deserved. You're completely right about how people slept on it because it wasn't made by treyarch.

De made me fall in love with zombies when I was little so it's always going to be favorite and I will always be biased to it being the best. The theme of it is so nice. It flows so well and the easter egg is so much fun and simple. The bows are so much fun to get and the introduction of the ragnarocks and stuff is so fun.

Great video! Not sure if I agree with every single pick, but it seems like a solid list over all. I actually forgot that WW2 had zombies maps and I never gave it a shot since I never heard anyone talk about them. Since you rated some so high, it convinced me to pick up WW2 on the Steam sale and give it a shot.

Awesome video, been getting back into all the zombies games recently and this gets me in that mood. Only take I don’t agree with is the Tag rating honestly since that’s my favourite of Bo4 but good video still!

After grinding iw zombies for so long, I can say without fail it’s top 3. It so enjoyable and entertaining

This is such a good list, most people rank maps for their EE or environment and don't include non black ops maps, every map has it's pros and cons which makes it unique also so many people didn't have access to a lot of the maps and went off of other peoples opinions playing all these game in their prime was fun besides vanguard that was the first game I had to force myself to play it felt very rushed it was trying to be so many things at once

Man this video is so well made and really explains the maps really well with just the right duration, not too long not too short, great list! (Though I hard disagree on where Tranzit, Darkest Shore, and Town is placed :) ) Also rare to see the non-Treyarch game that's not IW get so much love

I loved the list :) You actually put nostalgia to the side as much as you could, and I pretty much agree with mostly everything here I'd rank Call of the Dead lower because I hate that map lol.

for the first time, someone actually gives love to Infinite Warfare Zombies, this game really really is super underrated, the super easter egg is the best we had, and you can always go back and have fun on this game

It’s great to see a list that actually gives a fair look at the non treyarch maps, personally I’ve barely played any of them as my interest in COD, especially zombies, died after BO3 but I still dabble every now and then. I am tempted to go back and give IW zombies a try

@@dripp_dropp I believe there are about 10 truely goated maps who deserve 9-10/10 and then the list should slowly decline in rating according to placement on the list. Half of the maps getting 8/10 I have never played more than 10 times because they just aren't enjoyable to me and I played Zombies for Years so if you are rating the maps all so close to each other in rating you take the special feeling of good ratings away from the truely great maps we have IMO

Love the concept and absolut masterpieces it delivered, however I can admit where they went wrong and excecuted badly / sub par. No KZreadr wants to be negative, because the majority of viewers dislike negative comments about something they are passionate about. Its totaly understandable, but IMO he couldve just brought out the list in order without the rankings. That would make it a much more valid list and not seem like an exegaration of how good these maps truely are. Just my opinion tho and he might acctually Enjoy those maps at 7,5/10 but I just can't see it. He might even have a different understanding what a 7,5 means but in general that is a high number that shouldn"t be achieved by 3/4 of all maps else it has no meaning

@@tazzo_xy1938 if you are used to grading on a curve i understand why it doesn't make sense to you, in my country im used to grading where 5-6 is mediocre and that is it, grades are fixed and not based on overall perfomance, doesn't change based on the top and bottom, so if he genuinely thinks 3/4 of the maps deserve 7+ that makes total sense to me, specially because i feel the same way, very few maps i would grade lower than that. Also i feel the exact opposite about most famous zombies yotubers until very recently, they thrived on shitting on top of everything which wasn't the certified 3arc classics, making fun of these maps was always a no brainer, didn't even need any reasonable explanation. Most tier lists were just repeating the same recycled hivemind opinions over and over with very little space for authenthicity.

After watching you beat every cod games zombies, every cod zombies has something special to it (Besides Vanguard). I think there is some questionable ranking like zetsobou no shima being ranked so high. But I liked how you put buried in the top 10 personally for me it's in my top 3 it was just so much fun me and my brother playing split screen buried for hours and loved seeing 7 perks, Leroy, the chalk mechanic, the easter egg. I might be nostalgia blinded but buried was just so simple and I loved it. Your list makes me want to download the other cod games I haven't played like WW2 and ghost DLCs. Finally I love how you put Bo3 10/10 because the zombies is truly a masterpiece and so much care went into it.

minor spoiler but nothing specific i absolutely love how nearly half of the maps score a 9/10 or above. hearing someone share genuine enjoyment of the mode as a whole while including zombie adjacent ones as well is wonderful. and such, this is the best rankings video on this subject

IX i can understand that high round sucks for it. But as a casual player to get into bo4 its a 10/10. Great visuals, easy and yet still super fun PaP quest, super fun wonder weapon (for the first few times, it sucks without the bug, I know) and super simple layout, pretty much just a circle aboveground and underground. One clear best area to train zombies in (the arena) which is both the best visually/coolest place on the map + the fire out of the ground mixes it up/adds a little bit of excitement. Personally feel like tigers are also a nice change of pace in the arena since they can catch up to you, so you cant just run around in circles. When not training zombies, they are not as fun obviously. Water zombies suck, biggest flaw in bo4 imo.. you need like 3 mags to kill a single zombie due to them getting 5 HP bars just by touching a random water zombie. So MPs you can throw out of the window by round 20, which is a bo4 chaos story problem but especially frustrating on IX imo. Today still a 9.5/10 map for me as a casual and the easter egg was also quite fun to do (besides the scorpio shooting hieroglyph step). At the start of bo4 10/10, 100%. Perfect introduction map.

This is the most original list I have ever seen, not for zombies but on anything, making a list that is not the reverse of the norm but ORIGINAL AF, so much so that probably nobody ever had the exact same opinion as you, shows this lists, this videos and this youtuber's upmost greatness

As a 30 year old (now) I used to play black ops zombies and black ops 2 zombies. Every other map you’ve mentioned I’ve never played and I just can’t keep up lol

Wow, I'm so happy. My favorite level of all time was Spaceland, but I hated its base COD. The zombies was always a blast, and I remember just falling in love with Spaceland while playing it. I've never watched much of the online zombies scene so I always wondered if others enjoyed it as much as I did.

This list honestly made me realize that there are so many good (along with some bad) zombies maps that rankings can be anywhere for anyone. I didn't necessarily agree with a lot of these rankings, but I did respect all of them.

I love you for this, IW is so underrated

as much as i disagree with a good amount of your treyarch takes, i really do appreciate the amount of time you put into these games to give us a modern day, unbiased review from the perspective of a new-ish fan. also thank you SO MUCH for putting shadows at #1. it really is the best map of all time
